  1. I’ve been collecting Lego since I was a child and I have a ridiculously large collection, 90% is built or deconstructed and stored in labelled bags per set. i’m getting to a point where I need to stop buying Lego or move to a bigger place as there is just so much, what would the community do, sell it off individually (taking the rest of time) or look to sell as a large lot? are there even places that would buy such a large collection and where is the best place to advertise/sell if I go down that route?

    Huge collection advice

    I’m in the UK
  3. Its a great set but the control layout is not very good, it's all on one side, one "stick" sort of thing, forward, backward, left and right with your left thumb. It would have been better if you had the option to switch it to steering on one side and accelerator on the other so you could use both thumbs separately, doesn't look like its possible at the moment, maybe in an app update in the future, hopefully.
  4. I built mine the other day and its a good build, nothing ground breaking but really nice, the app control is the weakest point though as touch screens are best when you are looking at them, not watching something else. does anyone know if the 88010 Remote Control works with the set?

problems checking out on lego site

I’ve ordered two or three times since the recent updates on the site and its been a massive pain each time, the new VIP thing is terrible too, they really are taking the fans for granted, the customer service has suffered too, although they might be snowed under with complaints relating to the terrible new site. Some of the hidden side sets that I preordered would “ship on 1st August” are still sitting in the warehouse according to the site, yet the ones I ordered after the 1st have shipped already, I’m seriously disappointed with the new look lego experience.

    Car Talk

Has anybody got a Lego number plate like Lego had on the Caterham in the press shots? I tried to get LE60 CAr but it was already taken
  7. It'll sell out, there have already been reports of low numbers, ebay will be packed with ones "in hand" for £1200.
  8. if it's like the Saturn V rocket "launch" it will be midnight but they will be sold out by then as they sold them the day before, great work Lego... Expect disappointment, the scalpers will be going wild on this set.

[MOC] My mini UCS Millennium Falcon

The perfect Falcon, if only Lego would produce that, the look of the UCS set but without its coffee table sized dust magnet I love it.

    Poe's X-Wing Fighter (75102) Availability

My order got cancelled by Lego due to "demand exceeded our expectations" got one from a local toy store no problem. Lego mess up every launch/release and are usually behind by a month on availability, but to not expect the demand on the artificially hyped force friday is just ridiculous. I've bought new sets from other retailers on every new set release this year and lego are well behind.

    Review: 7965 Millenium Falcon

"You've never heard of the Millennium Falcon?…It's the ship that made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs." ―Han Solo Set name: Millenium Falcon Set number: 7965 Year of release: 2011 Price: £130 / US $139.99 / € 149.99 Parts: 1238 Minifigures: 6, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Darth Vader. Lego.Wikia Description Exterior: The exterior of the Millennium Falcon features a cylindrical cockpit mounted to a slanted wall attached to the main body leading to a long cylindric tube reaching to the large gun turret. All around the main body of the large space ship are 12 long slanted tiles serving as the sloped look, and are able to be flipped up for playing within. To the second slanted tiles at the right side is a small turnable dish. right after the third slanted tile is a short cylindric tube with two round, flat tiles serving as vents. To the third slanted tiles after the tube are small dishes serving as the large vents, among as the other two slanted tiles afterwards. Interior: At the front of the interior of the ship are slopes to let the front tile set down on, leading to the middle turret are two seats set down next to two computers. To the right from looking at the front of the interior are four seats set next to the "Dejarik" board. Following further after the board and seats is a hiding compartment to lay in a minifigure which can later be dropped out. to the left of the hiding compartment is a gun turret that can fit in a minifigure while turning 360 degrees. Far too many spare parts, I need to check to see there aren't bits missed... New to me Construction is really quite good, its the first set I have really enjoyed making for some time, It wasn't the hurried job to get it finished, I usually experience. Nothing surprising or unusual to the construction and the only sticking points are the top sections of the hull and the outside sections that form the sides, these get a bit repetitive, nothing seriously annoying though. This version of the Millenium Falcon is more of a Play-set, something obvious when you look at the profile of the ship, its very flat base making it perfect for outfitting the inside (I will get my old version out and compare the two of them side by side, but this one seems more pronounced than the older incarnation, I'll update the pics once I have them together) Ratings Minifigures: the six figures are nice but unoriginal, Luke and Leia have double sided heads, but thats about the only think mentionable, it would have been nice to have R2 and 3PO in here but by now everyone must have a good few sets of them in their collection so not a big pain. 7/10 Parts: Grey, lots of grey / Gray, lots of tray depending on where you are located there are plenty of parts, nothing overly special, just a couple of nice parts, canopy being the big one, the above white part is new to me. 7/10 Design: I think the design of this falcon while not a UCS challenger by a long chalk it is really good, the way its been made to be very play set like is great 9/10 Playability: This set is perfect for playing, the whole of the inside is open and its pretty well detailed, but has lots of scope for modification, I think its close to the Alien Conquest HQ in terms of playability. 9/10 Price: it is a Star Wars set so it is marked up due to licence but It's a great set and a good size so I'd say its about right 8/10 Overall: 40/50 Yes, pics from the bathroom Hi-Res pics here

Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary CUUSOO set Discussion

I need multiples of this, utterly superb.
  16. You're not wrong, this is a massive sticker set, just under 60 if I remember correctly, none cover any joins though so not too bad. Here's a better image.
  17. I built mine last night, superb model, I think it needs quite a bit of modding though.

LEGO Star Wars 2014 Pictures and Rumors

I suppose after the everything is at least £50-athon that was 2013 the sets being so small for 2014 may be a change but so far they all look supremely forgettable and very two or three years ago. What has happened at Lego? pretty much a clear slate for all sets I've seen so far for 2014, one City set stands out but thats it, Monster Fighters and Alien Conquest must have drained any originality and humour from the design team and they have taken a year off.
