This is a memory of my childhood. Built between 1966 and 1968, these emblematic "Machines" made in England with 65 tonnes, provided services in practically all the lines of Portugal. Although limited at 105 km / hour, traction either trains of suburban service, goods, medium and long-term and the prestigious Intercities service. Of the 67 original locomotives that made up the totality of this series (the engine material of its generation), the first 10 were manufacturedin England. The others, as included in the initial contract, were made in SOREFAME, in Amadora - Portugal. It was a great challenge to make this construction of 14 thousand pieces (7 thousand in the locomotive and 7 thousand in the base) at 1/15 scale. One of the main ideas was to make the wheels only with lego parts, without using 3D impression or lego motorcycle wheels, the result is a wheel made with 19 pieces. Barberhood is a barber shop near Campo Pequeno, with old school inspirations. The owner, Salvador Rodrigues, has hand-picked all the elements of the store's decoration. There are skateboards, boxing frames, deposits of old motorcycles, illustrations with tattoos, pinup posters and currency from various countries around the world. The specialty is the cuts of the 50's, with ancient techniques adapted to today's materials. This is a convivial space: in addition to cutting hair, Salvador offers minis, coffees or glasses of whiskey to customers. This is a replica of the motorcycle rides by Dennis Hopper in the film Easy Rider. The Vasco da Gama Tower is a 140 m high structure tower at the top [1], built next to the Tagus River, in Parque das Nações, in Lisbon, for EXPO'98, the 1998 World Expo. It was designed by SOM and Profabril (with architecture by Nick Jacobs and Leonor Janeiro, and structures by Nuno Costa), and built by Somague (with direction by Luís Ferreira). The construction at the top of the tower during the exhibition was a luxury restaurant with a panoramic view of the Tagus river. Since November 2012, the Tower has been operating as a luxury hotel chain SANA Hotels, adding to the initial set a building whose construction began in August 2009. It one of the tallest skyscraper building in Portugal.
