Did you play the game as well? It was my Christmas present in 2012 and I remember it very fondly. It's been almost a decade since I last played it, but I would still recommend it!

Something about the three playsets has me thinking now that the old sets were designed as LEGO sets, while the new ones look more like conventional toys simply converted into LEGO. Idk, maybe (or probably) it's my nostalgia goggles, but that's just what it feels like. Oooooh. That's pretty funny actually. Had us all scratching our heads yesterday, lol.

And the thin green tree was taller than the thick brown tree, as was the spire behind it, yet both are almost completely obscured in the distorted image. I'm not saying I'm 100% sure the trees behind the pavilion are there, just that they could be. There also is in fact something visible in the "bright circle" behind the pavilion, right on top of the rounded dome. Why are you so hung up on this anyways?

Found a much better one on reddit. You can almost make out detail in this one! From what I can tell it's pretty much identical to the leaked image. The fisheye distortion hides the tall green tree, and possibly the seemingly missing ones behind the pavilion as well. The main tree looks massive like this, but I'm like 99% sure it's the same scale to the one in the leak. Y'all gotta start accounting for the distortion.

Idk, that seems pretty boring. Just a room filled with a bunch of cups and some old dude hanging around? The trials would be a really cool set.

Here's the screencap Promobricks posted. Y'all can vertically flip it to compare it to the leak more easily. The distortion is really strong, so don't jump to conclusions y'all. It's just another couple of days until we'll get a proper look at it.

Totally. It would be an easy fix at with my own pieces, but I really shouldn't have to fix it in a €150+ set!

Oh- I should really start reading some of y'alls thoughts before rushing in and sharing my own.

I just saw the picture and yeah, parts of it do look AI generated, which at first made me think someone prompted one of those AI to extend the original set. But looking at it more closely, there is actual detail in there, especially round the idol, some with fairly modern pieces, and I can't find any peoples MOCs featuring those. There's also the white figures in this set, and the characters final design seemingly not being ready to be there yet, so they just put them on a card to the side. In conclusion, this is real, but whosever phone took this picture, had some crappy AI sharpening software that ruined it. As to my thoughts on the set, more disappointment, but I think I'll hold off to further judgment until we get better pictures, considering just how bad this one is.

Oh, absolutely, but a 200+ price tag is gonna leave the waters pretty cold for most people, unlike the much more affordable Tallneck and Sonic Ideas set. Then again, they keep churning out those weird, huge Nintendo sets. So those must be selling well enough for their standards to make new ones. Here's hoping they don't shoot themselves in the foot with a potentially golden bullet.

Gotta be real with y'all, not loving the hat/hair combo. Just looks off, like... there's too much hair? Idk. I think I'll just continue to use the old hat piece. (Funny thing is, I thought about exactly this earlier today!) As for the sets themselves... eh- The plane and car look... fine? Little boring tbh. The Temple of Doom looks neat at first glance, but the more I look at it the less I like it. And I'm really not feeling the Lost Tomb set at all. The original was the only Indy set I got and it was really great, especially for the time, but this just looks off. The free-standing, furry-ish (?!) statues holding up nothing. The separate, seemingly two layered wall in the back which looks unfinished. That weirdly thick (and also free-standing) doorway/arch which is completely unregonzible from the movie. And what a strange choice to have the Ark partly hidden and onto the side. I'm really hoping all these look better in high-res, otherwise these are just a massive let-down.

I fully disagree on that. The sets from back then were all beautifully designed and almost all of them are absolutely display worthy, even the Hobbit sets. Sure, they weren't that big, but that hardly mattered with how polished they were. They absolutely did the movies justice.

I really hope you're right. The biggest MSRP I'm willing to spend is €150. Anything more directly from LEGO and I just feel like I'm being ripped off. Any set over that price I've gotten was between €50 and €150 off. So if I can't find Rivendell below €450 I won't be getting it. Man, I'm so bummed for kids, people with kids, and students. I really wish they'd just do system sets, or at least smaller, more affordable one-offs like the Tallneck. Don't get me wrong y'all. That's still a ton of money for me, but I'm at least in a position where I'm able to consider it.

The set just gives one-off vibes. Like the Tallneck or the Ideas Sonic set (which did end up becoming a whole theme, so there's that). As for the price, I can totally believe they'll price it at 200+. Like you said, it's the most requested theme. They're gonna bleed fans dry. That's just LEGO for ya these days.

I agree. Though that would be 4 new moulds (so unlikely they'll do the shield as well) for what is most likely intended as a one off set (barring more sets if the initial set sells very well). I dread to think what they'll price it if they release it.

To be fair, yesterday seemed like a very special case, and I doubt we'll ever see anything like it again.

I for one really hope they won't do a GWP with an exclusive figure. I hate that sort of stuff, and how they've been leaning into GWPs in general lately.

A WATTO BUST?! EDIT: Found that picture. I vaguely remember seeing it a couple of years ago. Interesting to see what appears to be an early version of the UCS Slave I in the shelf, years before release, ditto for the UCS Tie and the Ewok Village, though it doesn't seem that early for those. And a probe droid as well, which we also ended up getting after a long time, albeit at a smaller scale. Really has my hopes down regarding the Deku Tree and Barad-dûr. It really could be a long time before we see those, if ever. Do these particular offices still exist? Looks like a really fun place to work. The open floor plan, the angled shelves, the high ceiling. Getting really good vibes from that picture.

I was thinking the same thing! It's by no means the perfect scale, but it would get the point across without the need for a robotic looking build or need for a new bigfig mould.

What makes you think it's TotK Link? The white lower arms and Zeldas long hair identifies them as BotW versions. And why would the other Link be based of Majora's Mask? The Deku Tree doesn't even appear in that game and the version in this set is based on Ocarina of Time.

I genuinely don't get why people actually want an Avengers tower. It's just such an ugly building.
