  1. yeah I was gonna buy some but they're pretty pricey, and I found some different ones on ebay WAAAAAY cheaper, $20 for all 4, opposed to $50 for the 1.9s. really you just have to look around. at the beginning of this thread someone linked to some tires, and using that I found some good ones.
  2. why not just make the small gear and a custom toothed bucket that would fit on the 42055 gear wheel thing
  3. I was looking at these tires a while ago, and actually went to a local rc shop and saw these. they should fit that rim, but I'd make sure and check measurements before looking at buying them. I think sevenstuds used these a while back, maybe check his site too? http://store.rc4wd.com/Interco-IROK-19-Scale-Tire_p_1423.html edit- forgot to add link lol
  4. wow, that's gonna be quite a challenge to fit all that stuff in that small space, excited to see the result!
  5. cool! reminds me a lot of the polaris slingshot!
  6. if you want to stay really cheap, I'd recommend the 42037. it's not huge, but has lots of useful pieces and is a great starter kit for working with suspension. you really have to look around for it though, most places sell it for around $60, but I found it for $40 in a few retail places.
  7. oh okay, sorry it just looked like you did in some of your videos, what kind of steering mechanism do you use for the return to center thing? it works so well!
  8. U REMIND ME SCHOOL IS STARTING SOON
  9. why isn't the servo or buggy motor there?
  10. ye me too, I always consider saying something about it but I didn't want Jim to yell at me, so I guess thanks Micek for being the first to say it...
  11. it's probably just me, but are the embedded videos working for anyone?
  12. personally, I'm still witing on Sariel's before I start judging, but still beautiful...
  13. wow, I can't imagine what it must be like to have such an inventory to be able to dedicate a freaking BUGGY MOTOR to being a simple desk fan...
  14. looks great, you have such a knack for this stuff! I do think this is stretching the term "mod" a bit far though... I would consider this more a "xerion 2.0"
  15. there's this thing called subtlety
  16. I was literally just googling to see if anyone did this yet, thanks! looks awesome!
  17. I probably should have looked it up before ordering it, but how make of those transmission setups does it come with? like, a setup being the 2 end gears, switch, and slidey thing in the middle? yes I know that sounds funny, I don't know the terminology and can't be bothered to look it up.
  18. imagine this thing with buzzwhizz in ludicrous mode... I can hear the plastic snapping now...
  19. thanks! I might just build the chassis and skip the bodywork, cause I'm still not 100% sure, but I'll try all wheel steering as well!
  20. looks absolutely beautiful! imho, it comes close to the level of madoca's old baja truck! awesome!
  21. well personally, I remember building the 7888 tumbler when I was like 8 or 9, and every single piece was black, and there were tons of pieces per step, and non of them were labeld, but I still figured it out... the color coding is kinda ridiculous imo. also what young kid is going too be building any of these huge sets, with little enough experience to warrant needing to color code pieces? sorry little timmy, leave the 42055 to the experienced builders...
  22. cool idea, looks cool! I feel this would be categorized with the whole "You could even build a porsche tractor if you wanted" group... funny though, I didn't know porsche made bikes, guess you learn something new every day...
  23. well, I've finally saved up enough money to get one of these things, and I wasn't planning on building it as I mainly want it for pieces, but I figured if it's relatively easy to make if RC, I might build it. however as a human being, I have a limited lifespan, and don't have the time to read through this whole thread, so I'll just ask. how hard is it just to do a basic steering and drive mod? with maybe 1 or 2 XL motors for drive and probably an L for steering. I only have one reciever so functionality is somewhat limited sadly btw I haven't looked at this topic in a while, and it just amazes me that even after HALF A DECADE, there are still people cranking out these interesting and beautiful mods and rebuilds and everything else! to everyone so dedicated to this model, give yourself a pat on the back!
  24. looks great! btw I meant something like just sticking the porsche body on a 9398 chassis, or something to that extent...
