Ideas for new Classic Castle sets

Proposals are ideas or wishes you tell or write somebody in order to discuss about them. In our topic are proposals set ideas. But it doesn't matter to ask. If you've got a question, don't be shy and ask it! Do you have some set proposals, too, Wout? That would be nice.

    Ideas For new sets(Wild West)

Like all the others here I think that you haven't killed the momentum on this thread, Brick Miner! But I was a bit disappointed when I read that this forum should be there to post your MOC ideas and not your wishes for new WW sets. I personally don't like WW MOCing very much. I separate strictly between official Lego sets and MOCs. That's why I would never put together a MOC of mine and an official Lego set. Consequently I would like much more TLC to release some new WW sets than to build some by myself. But I know that this is my oppinion and I respect that you, Brick Miner, would prefer to make MOCs. That's comprehendible because your WW MOCs you have shown us until now are no MOCs but brilliant and more than 100 % perfect unofficial WW Lego sets. I don't think that TLG could create some new WW sets which will be much different to the old ones. There are only two possibilities to create new WW sets: In the style of the 1996-1997 line (which would be historically very correct) or a Ghost Town line similar to that in your MOCs, Brick Miner. So, what should there be different to the old sets?! Of course Lego could produce some very different WW sets (like the new "Castle" sets), but that would be ugly because you then couldn't really realize that these sets belong to the WW theme and not to some fantasy or horror theme.

I agree with you, TheBrickster! I thought that this is the topic of this thread!

    Picture of new Castle set!!!

I agree with you, Mr. Mandalorian. Although I hate the new Castle sets, this mine is great! But only the mine itself. The minifigs are ugly, the catapult is oversized and the throne in my opinion doesn't go with a mine (which is dark and dirty). But the lorries on the tracks, the doors and the smelter are very nice, I'd say.

Star Wars 2008 sets (no pics)

That sounds great, DJSaulTNutz! Minifigs are the most important things for my SW collection. Hopefully there will come a Major Bren Darlin and a Snowtrooper Commander with this nice BP.

Thank you for that news, DJSaulNutz. But since I'm not very interested in EU sets: How much will the classic episode 4 to 6 sets (which were mentioned until now) cost and which are their real names? Which minifigs and other battle stuff will be included in the Hoth Battlepack?

But I don't understand why WW sets should only be made mainly for kids. I mean: On the one hand there would be a lot of kids who would buy new WW sets if they wouldn't be too expensive and if Lego would do enough public remotion, like for example a little television commercial. On the other hand: Aren't there a lot of exclusive Lego sets comming out this year (for example Caf

I agree with you, Brick Miner. My cotton plantation idea gets into civil war stuff and political themes. That's not good. I'm sorry for having posted this idea, but I thought according to the idea of confederate soldiers, that would be a nice idea ... But it's exactly right: TLG did so a good job with the WW sets that it is a shame that TLC didn't release more WW sets in this style. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Let's hope TLC will give us some new WW sets in the future. I mean: Don't the Star Wars fans get sets which they would like to have?! That is not bad because I am a SW fan myself, too, but I think: Shouldn't the interests of fans of other Lego subthemes be regarded, too?! - I think so! And I think that it wouldn't be a too big risk to release some new WW sets because there would be a lot of people who would buy them - just look how much members of EB are browsing this forum every day and are very interested in WW sets. The only thing which would be a risk would - in my oppinion - be if TLC would only release WW sets like a bank, a gold mine or a fort which have already been there. OF course another bank or a bigger general store would be nice but I think that - mainly ALFs who already have the most WW sets of the past - would be more interested in a Saloon, some Ghost City theme sets and in a WW train (station) set like this excellent one Brick Miner did as a MOC. But if TLC would release sets like these and abides by releasing some little minifg sets, some sets in the "middle size" and also some big sets (e. g. as S@H Exclusives) I would have no doubts about Lego having succes.

Great idea, trooperdavinfelth! I wanted to post a set proposal similar to this tomorrow. What do you think about my Mos Eisley idea? That would go with your set proposal, too, don't you think?

That's a great idea, zouave! I would like some confederate soldiers in the WW theme, too. That would make this theme more spectacular and would give the blue soldiers from the North (I don't know their name.) somebody to fight against - not only Indians. To this topic: When there should be confederate soldiers, what about this? WW Cotton Plantation a cotton plantation, a barn to depot the cotton plants and a house (first floor: little office, second floor: bed room) including a packhorse, some cotton plants, some boxes, some tools and two horses minifigs: cotton plantation owner, his wife, confederate captain, confederate soldier and three slaves (one female, two males) The history beyond it: The cruel cotton plantation owner rips his slaves out. They have to work the whole day and get only enough to survive. One day, the slaves try to escape. But the cotton plantation owner calls the confederate soldiers which hunt the slaves. Will the slaves escape effectual? By the way: If there should/would be confederate soldiers, I would like them closely equitable to the nice blue WW soldiers TLC released in the past, but with brown-grey suits and caps. Do you agree or not?

Welcome to EB, Brickadier General! To the first part of this quote: I would like more civilian stuff and new animal figs, too. Vultures and buffalo would be a great idea. I know Lego made some grey birds for WW (especially for the Indian sets). But a vulture which has its wings effuse would be nice. To the second part of this quote: I would like more cavalry, too. I made a set proposal for an army camp some pages before. If you want to, look at it and tell me w

I personally would like a set with Tusken Raiders and a bantha very much. But that's my oppinion. I have the Tusken Raider Encounter, too. But since there is no bantha it's not adequate to use it as episode 4 to 6 set.

Nice ideas, Piranha! I like the idea of the stagecoach which blows up when dynamite is inserted. That would be brilliant! The floor in the upper room in the station which caves in when you walk on it is a nice idea, too. But I think it doesn't go with the stagecoach station. In the station there are a lot of people who work and wait there every day. Consequently it's unrealistic that the upper floor is empty and so much rotten that it caves in. The idea of the rocking chair (Do you think of one similar to the one in the Sheriff's office?) and the Blackfoot bandit is very nice, too.

Star Wars 2008 sets (no pics)

I really hope that, too! Taun tauns and a wampa would be absolutely necessary in addition to the great new Hoth Rebel Base. A Han Solo, a Major Bren Derlin and a Luke Skywalker in Hoth outfit (similar to the Lego Arctic suits) and a Lieutenant Wes Janson would be necessary, too. I (would) like a very big spectrum of different minifigs, even of them which don't play a very important role in the movies. But nevertheless: A dropship with stormies and a Hoth battlepack for 2008 are really good news. I hope that a set with a bantha and some Tusken Raiders will be released, too. (See my wishes for SW sets on http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...opic=8730&st=90, too!) The bigger problem is: Where shell I get the whole money for all these sets from? I haven't buyed the most 2006 SW sets yet and the AT-ST is the first SW 2007 set I bought this year? - I think I need a cash cow!

    Ideas for new City sets

These are very nice set proposals, SalvoBrick. The the post station is brilliant. It has the accurate size for a Lego City post office and is very well created. But I'd more like it if it would be in yellow colour because that would be more varied because the most Lego City houses are white. The supermarket is exellent! That's a set I'd really want and I'd really buy! It's absolutely perfect in every sense. The bus is very nice because it has - in my oppinion - the accurate size for a Lego City bus - not too big and even not too little. The colour is very nice, too. I'd like a bigger hospital like you did, too. In your MOC there is much place and a lot of configuration. That would be a Lego City hospital which I'd really like. THe only thing is that some minifigs are missing but that's no problem. The corner caf

Sorry but I've to tell you that, Piranha: These ideas or ideas similar to yours were some of my ideas and ideas of other members already posted in this forum some days or weeks ago. The only new idea is the Haunted Gold Mine. It's a very nice idea, Piranha! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- By the way: I'm sorry but I can't manage to post any more pictures in my first WW MOC release. I'll try to register at brickshelf at the weekend and so I hope I will present you some more pics soon. Please be patient, it's angry for me, too!

    Grave Stone's Prospector Tex Grimwell

That's my oppinion, too! The Brickster, you've done a very good job with this small set. It would be perfect as a little minifig set for - let's say - around five Euros. The prospector looks very realistic. Very nice!

Interesting news! As a result of some differences a question: Will the Imperial Dropship have clone troopers or storm troopers? Am I right that it will belong to episode 4 to 6? (Would be great! I only buy episode 4 to 6 sets.)

    police

That's right, Darth_Legois_619. But the new police officers shouldn't wear new uniforms because it's blundering to have several police officers with several uniforms every few years. I use the police officers until 1993 as federal police officers, the police officers until 2005 as "normal" police officers and the one police officer I have from 2005 as security officer. But what to do with the next uniforms?! Yes, that's absolutely right, iamded! A large prison would be great.
