[Cor Aug FB1] Swordsmith, Port Woodhouse
Littleworlds replied to Ayrlego's topic in Brethren of the Brick Seas
Thats a sweet little build. Very clean and tidy layout; very much as you would expect a swordsmith's house in RL. The detailing is very charming and very appropriate. It really radiates a nice and welcoming feel. -
Hi Jez and welcome to Eurobricks! Don't worry about fitting in here. Not everyone can be an expert. And I'm certainly not one either. & fingers crossed for your project!

what to take care of when purchasing Lego from unknown someone
Littleworlds replied to ks6349's topic in General LEGO Discussion
The website Brickset.com has usually the weight of the individual set listed. Maybe that helps you finding out! -
[COMIC] The Monday Deathmatch Tournament
Littleworlds replied to Aliencat's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
Wow! This sheer wealth of builds - all excellently done - is astonishing. The story and characters contribute to a nice build-up (and the top-notch photography and layouting!) and make me wonder how it will develop. Somehow I want almost every single one of them to win. Please keep them coming. Its truly excellent stuff! -
Looks very good! I like it how you gave the palisades this feel of randomness, while still appearing very solid. The vegetation is also really well done - the trees are nicely dense and very convincingly build. The landscaping might be a bit on the simple side, but does its job. Maybe some patches of darker and brighter green to mix things up a bit? The minifigs have some charming customisation and work really well. Classy move of using Lloyds hood. It looks like its been made for your character!

[Moc] The castle with the flowered path
Littleworlds replied to pantelis's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Beautiful! The walls are really nicely structured and looks - together with the landscaping - very organic. Good colour composition too. -
I agree. This turned out really cool. Like a Y-Wing if it came from the TOS-universe!

It turned out really nicely. Masts and rigging is superbly done. I agree about the stern. Its not quite there yet... maybe it needs a different approach.

Hi St8. I was about to share my thoughts on this question, but your "Discuss" makes it sound like a school assignment!

White backrounds for photos.
Littleworlds replied to Modeltrainman's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I absolutely agree. Avoid hard edges or wrinkles in the background and then crank the contrast up. That also will let colours pop out more. It may need some experimentation till the the right values are found. -
This looks amazing! Superbly captivated look and feel of typical towns of the region. Just lovely!
-
It looks like a reconstruction of a stoneage settlement, with the tusks, low roof and earthy colours. Very suiting for barbarians and orcs and orcish barbarians.

So densely packed and busy- just as you imagine a marketplace like that. Lovely little market stalls too - and the city wall is just brilliant: just right for the place and climate. Excellent MOC!

Corner Garage (10264) or Downtown Diner (10260)
Littleworlds replied to ks6349's topic in General LEGO Discussion
You know, that's an excellent point. Its not like there aren't any other satisfyingly complex lego sets around. -
These are awesome! You caught their look and feel perfectly

Hello & welcome to Eurobricks. Indeed really a well-made and charming cast you got!

Interesting idea to use bricks instead of legs to create long mail-shirts - and it looks actually really good.
-
Looking good! The nice and subtle detailing gives each really character of its own.

Great mix of different textures and grades of yellowing to make the building come alive. Works really well!

Good stuff! I know & love them since the late 90s

Corner Garage (10264) or Downtown Diner (10260)
Littleworlds replied to ks6349's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I find the Downtown Diner more charming than the Corner Garage. The theme is lovely and the architectural features of the build are quite outstanding. The garage appears to me a bit gimmicky with its layout and the interior of ground level could have received more detailing. -
These look extraordinary. Very nicely done shaping and excellent choice of colours. They really have personality. And Han Solo's vest does well too!
-
Very nicely done scene. The character design reminds me a lot on what I have done with those minifigs and I really like the landscaping with the skeletons and bits and pieces. Lovely desolate!
