LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
WookieeWarrior replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
And for that matter, haven't there been reports of a new Cloud City for over a year now? Does anyone know what the deal is with that one? -
LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
WookieeWarrior replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm still interested in what this could possibly be. To quote Obi-Wan, "Curious". -
I know I only have my word to back this up, but on a Force Cast episode a few years back, Ray Park (I believe it was) was interviewed and George told him way back when they were filming TPM that Darth Maul could appear in future movies as his head was not chopped off. I love that in George's mind, a guy getting sliced in half is one thing, but having his head chopped off is something else lol.

And Han's "trick" (as he calls it) of veering slightly to the left to get away from the star destroyers was just fantastic lol.

I saw this a few weeks back, but it seems I may be one of the few to come across it: http://www.amazon.com/Lego-Star-Wars-Save-Galaxy/dp/0545301017/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1295394944&sr=8-1 LEGO Star Wars: Save the Galaxy! appears to feature the art of Greg Hyland and comes out in a few days.

Christo's custom Legos
WookieeWarrior replied to NarakuAulonocara's topic in Minifig Customisation Workshop
Does anyone know if he's changed the name of his ebay store? I haven't seen his store online lately. I know he often takes a one month break during the year, and it is summer down in South Africa now. -
I'm actually liking these, since they're giving all the minifigs an update. I still don't like the CW figs.
-
I really hope it's not one of those droid walker things and that it is a droid tri-fighter (like Ep III), mainly because it would be very similar to this:
-
I really hope that it's a landspeeder and not a snowspeeder. We just got one a year or two ago. I'm all for remakes if they're good, but that's a little too close together.
-
The boats fit two minifigs.
-
I don't think it's too much of a stretch to say that Luke's landspeeder will likely have the same windshield as the Indy Venice boats had.
-
Well, I have no reason to doubt the list since Jedi News has been right on the money a lot lately. I'm sad to see that the Indy line looks to be ending though. It had a great run. I'm hoping the Luke speeder set will include Ben's hut. I'm glad this wave seems to be a little smaller, since I have a lot of catching up to do.
-
I'm not too thrilled with the eyes they've put on them. Same with the Star Wars tauntaun. I prefer the old style they've done on horses, dewbacks, and the like.
-
Prince of Persia, really? It seems like this line will be a one and done, like Speed Racer. I just can't see kids, or adults for that matter, clamoring for Price of Persia toys.
-
Kind of like how we haven't gotten a Padme in about, oh, 8 or 9 years. lol It would be really cool if we got a (chrome) U-3P0 with the set.

Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings Sets?
WookieeWarrior replied to RoflWafls's topic in LEGO Licensed
Well, I have no idea how the story of the game played out, but the screenshots did look interesting. I bought the game the day it came out, played it for a little while, and came to the conclusion that the game is horrible. Too bad they cancelled the novelization and didn't make a comic. For better or worse, I really don't see them making any sets from the game. -
REVIEW: Indiana Jones 7196 Chauchilla Cemetery Battle
WookieeWarrior replied to Svelte's topic in LEGO Licensed
The great thing about a chance in Indy's head is that there's 12 other sets that have the old face. -
Well, it's not Disney making that Percy Jackson movie, it's 20th Century FOX. Also, I really hope that Indy comes back for a third year. It's the only line I collect, and I'd hate to see it go.
-
I could imagine them doing one the size of the Akator temple, but I just don't think there's enough of a hardcore fanbase for a demand fof a set over $100.
-
Personally, I think life size versions of the MacGuffins might be more interesting. We know that LEGO, or at least some LEGO stores, made a life size crystal skull, which looked pretty cool, IMO.

Do kids today even have a clue what "Back to the Future" is?

Do you think we'll get a Lego LotR or Lego Hobbit brand?
WookieeWarrior replied to Dollar Bill's topic in LEGO Licensed
I thought TT Games was talking about a regular Hobbit game. In any case, I think it wouldn't sell that well. I don't know of any kids who are fans of those franchises. -
We should get a Brickmaster set and a ToysRUs or S@H exclusive. If there is a Comic Con exclusive, I would expect it to be something that most fans could live without like last year.
-
That's it! So the question is- is this the new Marion or the new Willie? And Bricks, I have gotten the brown 'stache just a few days back from S@H. I guess it's luck of the draw.
