[MOC] Dental Chair in LEGO IDEAS.

This is a dental office MOC with a dental chair installed in the middle of the room with side cabinets and a water sink for handwashing. I myself is a dentist which is the main reason I really wanted something related to my occupation to be built as a set using LEGO as a dental clinic is rarely found in LEGO sets. This would make a great LEGO set as it would be a very nice display in dental clinics everywhere globally and kids wouldn't be so scared of the dentist anymore if it is displayed in LEGO form. I believe this can introduce dentists to kids in a cute and friendlier way in a LEGO set. In a matter of fact, dentists are not that scary after all. It's opened for voting in LEGO Ideas! Please help make it an official set. Thank you very much! Support in LEGO Ideas My reviews in Eurobricks. [MOC] Dental Chair in LEGO IDEAS.

Thank you so much! Thanks for your kind words and yes let's fight dental phobia!
  3. My 33rd review is a wee bit scary as one scratch on the minifigure will cost an arm and a leg. These four SDCC minifigures are carrying the price of around 2 UCS Millenium Falcon (new one) and I'm risking my life playing around with them as they are loaned units from my friend Ian Ooi, taken from him in Kuala Lumpur during a fun gathering dinner. They don't come by everyday, so let's see what we have here. Overview The Collector Name: The Collector - San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Exclusive (comcon035) Theme: Marvel Super Heroes Year: 2014 Pieces: 8 Minifigures: 1 Price: USD 385 (Bricklink current lowest price) MYR 1581 Deadpool Duck Name: Deadpool Duck - San Diego Comic-Con 2017 Exclusive (comcon053) Theme: Marvel Super Heroes Year: 2017 Pieces: 3 Minifigures: 1 Price: GBP 250 (Bricklink current lowest price) MYR 1274 All New Captain America (Sam Wilson) Name: All New Captain America (Sam Wilson) - San Diego Comic-Con 2015 Exclusive (comcon046) Theme: Marvel Super Heroes Year: 2015 Pieces: 5 Minifigures: 1 Price: USD 299.99 (Bricklink current lowest price) MYR 1232 Steve Rogers Captain America Name: Steve Rogers Captain America - San Diego Comic-Con 2016 Exclusive (comcon051) Theme: Marvel Super Heroes Year: 2016 Pieces: 4 Minifigures: 1 Price: HKD 2250 (Bricklink current lowest price) MYR 1182 The packaging is standard non sealed SDCC clear plastic with a card inside. The minifigures are clearly displayed inside the 'box' and the designs are really impeccable. 1. The Collector - San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Exclusive This card is quite special among the four as you can see the minifigure is printed inside the card. The back of the card is only printed with colourful circles on purplish black background. Taneleer Tivan is well printed with his renowned purple flowery outfit, along with a 'necklace' pinned on his pocket. The shirt design looks like Chinese traditional outfit. He comes with a White Minifigure, Cape Cloth, Serrated Edges coded 12857 which appeared in 70009 and 70011 back in 2013 Chima's sets. As exclusive as it is, the cape is quite cheap to be acquired. His legs are printed at the hip area as a continuity to his torso, and both side of his legs as a decoration to his pants maybe? He comes with dual facial expressions and 3 round plates which represents the Aether in a container that was passed to him by Lady Sif and Volstagg. Hello Brother. 'Then you are more of a fool than I took you for.' 2. Deadpool Duck - San Diego Comic-Con 2017 Exclusive The red was chosen so that the enemy won't see you bleeding. I liked the colour scheme used in this card. At the back of the card LEGO is promoting the MARVEL Super Heroes 2 game in 2017. According to marvel fandom.com, this deadpool duck is actually the relative to Howard the Duck and he is from Earth 616 in the Multiverse. The history of this character is unknown but stated that he is the fusion of Howard the Duck and Deadpool. The head mold is amazing and the printings of his deadpool eyes are very nice. At the back of the head you can see the wrinkles produced by the head mask similar to human deadpool version. The legs aren't printed. The torso prints are superb front and back. The deadpool belt buckle, ammo pockets and the brown straps are very recognisable. Quack. 3. All New Captain America (Sam Wilson) - San Diego Comic-Con 2015 Exclusive Falcon is finally the taking the helm of Captain America like what we got in Avengers Endgame. But this is the SECRET WARS version of Sam Wilson as printed at the back of the card. He looks funny with his red glasses. Does he look like that in the comic? (Tell us in the comments) He came with dual facial expressions. and the shield he is holding is not really exclusive. The blue and reds are very nicely used here especially at front and back of the torso. His jetpack was printed at the back with a star at the centre and the red coloured wings are kept inside the jetpack. At the front the uniform is very nicely designed on a white base. Comparison of Sam Wilson. Jealous White Wolf. 4. Steve Rogers Captain America - San Diego Comic-Con 2016 Exclusive This is my favourite among the four. I love the blue abstract background of the card. He is GORGEOUS! I think this is the only version of Captain America with leg printings and the prints are so detailed! The shield is also a very nice addition to this minifigure as it is not the usual round vibranium shield. Who is worthy? Group Photo. Back of the cape and shield. Alternate expressions. Review summary Design: 10/10 - I love all the designs except for Sam who looks a bit cartoonish. Minifigures: 10/10 - Impeccable. Price / Value for money: 3/10 - Very EXPENSIVE. Overall: 7.5/10 - If its not because of the price, the score would be 10/10. Thanks for reading! I hope you like this review. Do share your thoughts in the comments below! My reviews in Eurobricks. [REVIEW] Four SDCC minifigures

Especially that shield. Thanks! Yeah, their prices are sky high for a minifigure.. It's weirder to hold them in hand. It's not happiness when the minifigures are not your own. The stress is real, haha. Thanks for your kind words! If they are released widely, they won't cost that much already.. You have the 2013 Deadpool??? Thanks @Mister Phes! Planning for my 34th now! Me too. One day.
  5. Third one, folks. This set is quite easy to get as the hype is not as much as the last 2018 bricktober. However, the minifigures are quite lovely. 5004938 - NINJAGO Minifigures 5004939 - TLBM Minifigures 5004941 - Classic Minifigures 5005257 - NINJAGO Minifigures (2018) 5005254 - Harry Potter Minifigures (2018) Overview Name: 5005255 - Jurassic World Minifigures Theme: Promotional \ Toys R Us (Bricktober) Year: 2018 Pieces: 18 pcs Minifigures: 3 with a small dinosaur Price: free with purchase of RM199 in Malaysia. Introduction The minifigures here are considered exclusive as Dr. Ian Malcolm did not appear in any other sets. Claire and Owen did come out in other sets but the designs of their outfit here is totally new prints and check out the whistling expression for Owen! Let's go into them. Box The mould of the plastic that hold them in place is quite different at the raptor compartment. They even put a round indentation there to make them easy to retrieve. The orange coloured box makes it feels like lava is flowing around them like in the movie. Standard back of the box with words.. I love this grey stoney part of the box here. It resembles the metal cage they used in the movie to keep those dinosaurs captive. Come out, stretch a bit! Minifigures Dr. Ian Malcolm is a mathematician who is one of the main characters of the Jurassic Park franchise since the beginning of the movie long ago. He is portrayed by Jeff Goldblum in the movie and appeared in the movie as a commentator only. Here we see he is wearing a black outfit showing some of his chest hair. Unlike other bricktober minifigures, he lacks leg prints and side arm prints. He is holding a torch and the hair is the same as Bruce Banner. Jeff Goldblum. Claire Dearing was the park operations manager of Jurassic World, prior to the abandonment of the park in 2015 upon the escape of the Indominus rex. She looks pretty here with a great smile and eyelashes. The light grey outfit is also very nice on her where the printings are extended to the legs. She came with a sad facial expression maybe after looking at the beloved dinosaurs died at the volcano site. Overall this is a nice minifigure with a smartphone. Phewwwiiittt... Owen Grady was a dinosaur researcher employed by Jurassic World, who conducted a behavioral research on Velociraptors. Here he looks messy in his brown vest and a weird smile. The special thing about this minifigure is the whistling facial expression he used on Gamora/dinosaurs. LOL. The expression is quite cool and brings life to this minifigure. He comes with a back pack and a belt printing along with arm detailing at his left arm. Will you marry me? Baby raptor. This is not exclusive to this set as it appeared in 3 other sets. It is a one studed baby dinosaur which is smaller than a minifigure. The blue stripe prints are very nice and the mould is amazing for such a small creature! It looks very much alive instead of a dead piece of plastic. Blue: Can I eat that? Trust me, not as a human, but as your father. Conclusion Despite the lack of hype, I feel that this set is quite adorable after I had my hands on them. Claire is lovely and Owen is cute with his whistling face. It will be worth to have as the price won't be as high in the secondary market. A very good collection of minifigure set! Review summary Playability: N/A - I've decided to skip this part. Design: 8/10 - Not bad as the torso and face prints are not ordinary prints. Minifigures: 8/10 - Not sure about the selection but having the main characters in this set is quite subtle as others are not as popular. Price / Value for money: 8/10 - You can get it at lower price than other bricktobers I think. Overall: 8/10 - Overall I would say I'm not disappointed. What say you? I hope you enjoy reading my simple review and do express your comments below. 'The end is near.' Stay tuned.
  6. 'Everywhere I go, I see his face. I just really miss him.' After Tony sacrificed himself to save the universe, (you're saying there's a multiverse?) Everybody misses him but the world have to move on. So, let's move on to my 32nd review in Eurobricks, 40343 Spider-Man and the Museum Break-In. Overview Name: 40343 Spider-Man and the Museum Break-In Theme: Marvel Super Heroes Year: 2019 Pieces: 49 Minifigures: 3 Price: USD 14.99 / 14.99€ / RM74.90 The 'Box' The packaging is a giant minifigure translucent pack which you can see the contents inside. The back of the packaging featuring the builds and two special parts including a full sized pizza and a printed trans clear web piece. My way of opening this is quite brutal , tearing off the bottom tapes bringing out the instruction booklet and a bag of LEGO bricks. The content of the set. I think I will keep that giant minifigure trans clear plastic. The instruction booklet is quite simple front and back page of a paper. This is how 49 pieces of LEGO looks like. USD0.31 per piece is quite expensive I would say. Let's see what's special inside this. These are special parts inside the set. Ned's hair is quite rarely seen for a generic city person but not new. 38800-Minifigure, Hair Bowl Cut Parted in Center in Dark Brown only for Ned and Professor Flitwick in Harry Potter collectible minifigure series. It came with reddish brown in 5005359 Minifigure Display Frame as a hair piece for a Beach Party Dude. However the pizza, helmet and the trans clear web piece are just special but not new. 1. 14769pb160 - Tile, Round 2 x 2 with Bottom Stud Holder with Pizza Pepperoni and Olive with Slice Marks Pattern 2. x167 - Minifigure, Headgear Helmet Castle with Fixed Face Grille 3. 4740pb015 - Dish 2 x 2 Inverted (Radar) with Spider Web Pattern (Only in this set and 75950 Aragog's Lair.) 4. 3626cpb1910 - Light Flesh Minifigure, Head Dual Sided Female Black Eyebrows, Light Orange Lips and Beauty Mark, Neutral / Angry Pattern (SW Rose) - Hollow Stud New parts are listed here as below. 1. 3626cpb2398 - Red Minifigure, Head Alien with Spider-Man Black Web and White Eyes, Mask Pulled Up Showing Mouth Pattern - Hollow Stud 2. 973pb3227c02 - Dark Red Torso Plaid Flannel Shirt with Dark Blue Stripes over Light Bluish Gray Sweater Pattern / Dark Red Arms / Medium Dark Flesh Hands 3. 3626cpb2399 - Medium Dark Flesh Minifigure, Head Dual Sided Black Eyebrows, Reddish Brown Chin, Grin / Scared Pattern - Hollow Stud Another new part is as below picture. Surprisingly we get an antenna with new colour as a trans clear piece as the support for the drone. The centre piece is the normal antenna 3957. 1. 3957b - Antenna 1 x 4 - Flat Top A comparison of the printed web piece with Dr. Strange's discs. The prints are very nice and lovely to look at! The builds of the set. They are very simple builds with a jewel display stand, castle armor stand and a drone. The only positive side in this is only the trans clear antenna and the dish which can be reused elsewhere to make other things 'fly'. The drone looks nice but still, for a price like this, I would rather they be replaced by another one or two minifigures. Extra parts. Yeay! we got an extra trans jewel! Before we go to the minifigures, let's watch this. Sorry for the stop motion, not sure why it became like this after uploading. Better quality if you click HD. The Minifigures Maria Hill. So she is a pizza delivery girl instead of Nick Fury's right hand woman? This minifigure is actually a mix of a generic ponytail hair, Rose Tico's face, and a plain blue leg piece. I feel 'meh' for this minifigure actually. She should have the 'agent' or spy looking attire. Agent 13 looks more professional than Maria Hill. Too bad I don't have the old Maria Hill to take picture here for comparison but the reuse of Banner's torso is not that cool. I prefer to use this head for our spiderman here. This new head with his mask pulled up showing part of Peter's face is a very nice touch to the spiderverse of minifigures. I longed for this head piece since Tobey's spiderman kissed his girlfriend with only his mouth showing but this 'munching something in the mouth' face will do. If he wears the full mask, he is not exclusive to this set. The head piece finally can have a much different print after all these years. Oh hi Ned! the man behind the screen! (he is a LEGO fan too.) This looks generic but the hair and the face is instantly recognisable as Peter Parker's classmate. That hair is spot on! About his skin tone, the shade is similar to Valkyrie's but not the same as Wong and Okoye. The hands too have the same shade. Conclusion Hmm. Simple build with generic minifigure. Let's see. Pros: Ned! A new partially unmasked Spiderman head. and a pizza. Cons: Simple build. A mix of old parts to become Maria Hill. A little bit too expensive. Review summary Playability: 3/10 - Does turning the rotors of the drone considered as a play feature? Design / Building Experience: 5/10 - Simple Build. Only the drone looks a little bit complex. Minifigures: 6/10 - Only Ned and new partially unmasked spiderman is worthy. Price / Value for money: 3/10 - Unless we get a new Maria Hill print. If not, this set is probably for hardcore Marvel LEGO fan to complete their minifigures collection. Overall: 5/10 - Hmm. Get this if you really need Ned as he is exclusive to the set. [REVIEW] 76048 Iron Skull Sub Attack

Nice catch! Thanks for the reminder of taking the immediate content of the box. I'll remind myself next time. Thanks again for your kind words! Thanks @tfcrafter. Yes it is based on the cartoon but the Scuba does appear in the movie for a glimpse i think. Yes it is amazing, @LEGO Train 12 Volts Thanks @Besters_Brick. Me too!
  8. "Cut off one head, two more shall take its place." "Hail HYDRA." This is my 31st reviews in Eurobricks and I'm very happy to present more LEGO set reviews here. I enjoyed it very much and hope you like them too. Overview Name: 76048 Iron Skull Sub Attack Theme: Marvel Super Heroes Year: 2016 Pieces: 335 Minifigures: 4 Price: £29.99 / $29.99 The Box The box art of the set is showing a mission of Iron Man saving Captain America that was captured by Iron Skull. The battle occurred in the ocean and red skull seems to be able to breath underwater without any breathing apparatus. Cap is saved! Here you can see a few play features in the set build and the fight around the submarine. Side panel features the 1:1 Scuba Iron Man. The Instruction Booklets There are two instruction booklets here and one comic book. (My first book was crumpled when I put them in my bag..) The parts list. To me, 4632100 and 6135470 is quite special in this set. I've put the comic book in this GIF, stay a little while here to read the comics and it kinds of promoting the other set 76049 Avenjet Space Mission which I still don't have.. Stickers, not a lot and they are quite easy to apply as they are required at large pieces. The Build Let's start with this small build of the underwater vehicle piloted by this Hydra Diver. It is a simple build with matching colour of the minifigure. The weird looking submarine has a fierce and menacing look from the front. Red eyes with orange teeth. Let's see what's inside. It is actually a very brilliant build using these three parts combined to look like teeth which I like it very much. Side views. They looked very symmetrical from both left and right. The panels open this way and there is a storage box for you to put those extra ammo for the stud shooters. The back view. As I mentioned, the ship is very symmetrical. Captain America's cell is clipped to the yellow part near the Hydra sticker and chained so that it won't float away. that yellow part under Iron Skull's seat is to hold the cell in place. It can be taken out by removing the clip quite forcefully but the body of the ship is quite sturdy so it won't fall apart so easily. Captain's cell in trans red door panels. The space is just nice for cap and his shield. But if he is inside with his shield, he won't be inside anymore, right? The Minifigures Iron Skull. Johann Shmidt is the leader of Hydra, a terrorist group derived from the Nazis. He was powered by an early and unstable version of the Super-Soldier Serum, and adopted the identity of Red Skull. Since then, he has battled Captain America and his fellow heroes for years, without ever achieve his goals of global domination. He is bald so he can't have alternative face. His torso is nicely done with red and black. The front and back printings resembles that he is wearing an Iron suit around him underwater. Hydra henchman. Underwater Red Skull's minion. Not much information on who is this loyal supporter of Hydra who's willing to fight to the death for the bad guys. He is wearing a pair of shiny goggles, green suit with a batman utility belt with a H on the buckle. He is equipped with a Scuba Breathing Regulator and lime green flippers. Steve Rogers. Captain Steven Grant "Steve" Rogers is a World War IIveteran, a founding member of the Avengers, and Earth's first known superhero. Rogers was the only recipient of the Super Soldier Serum developed by Abraham Erskine under the Strategic Scientific Reserve. He has a breathing apparatus and a pair of red flippers and he is holding his Vibranium shield as usual. This print is quite cartoonish but it looks nice and muscular. His head print is also very detailed with the back of the helmet also printed with silver base. Scuba Iron Man. The Mark 37 (Mark XXXVII), also known by its codename as "Hammerhead", is a Deep Sea Suit, and was one of several new Iron Man Armors created by Tony Stark as part of the Iron Legion. The armor was created sometime after the Battle of New York. This suit is in Iron man 3 preparing to fight the Extremis Soldiers. I LOVE this sand green Iron Man!!! This armour piece is so well designed and the printed trans clear round tile on the chest is a very nice touch to the minifigure! To me this design of iron man is impeccable. You think that's all for this minifigure? The torso print under the armour is also amazingly done! I really love the bronze-gold colour stripes printed on this sand green figure. Don't forget there is a turbo jet printed at the back of the torso too! Minifigures only without anything attached. They are perfect. I am not so sure why this set is unpopular. Look at these minifigures, as a Marvel fan, this set is not to be missed! Conclusion This is a very nice set for Marvel fan and Iron man minifigure (List of LEGO Iron Man) collector. The minifigures are colourful. Maybe the downside of the set is the submarine build which kind of hard to relate to any Marvel movie. Review summary Playability: 6/10 - The submarine is not really playable unless you want to store minifigure in the cell. Design / Building Experience: 8/10 -The design of the sub is good and nice part use of the orange teeth. Minifigures: 10/10 - Perfect minifigures! They are so nicely designed and printed! Price / Value for money: 9/10 - The value goes to the minifigures. Unless you like to display a scary looking submarine on your shelf. (But we can always put it beside the haunted house right?) Overall: 8.25/10 - Not bad overall score for an underwater set. Again, very nice minifigures! Let me know your thoughts in the comments section below. My reviews in Eurobricks. [REVIEW] 76048 Iron Skull Sub Attack

Thanks @Jim! I'm lucky to acquire this set before the price got up due to that exclusive sand green iron man. On my way of searching and reviewing 76049, hopefully I can find it.
  10. Hi it has been a while since my last review of 76105 The Hulkbuster: Ultron Edition on 24 January. Endgame will be showing in the cinema this 24th April and I'm very excited for the movie! Let's put on the Quantum Realm suit and go time travel! The Polybag I got this one as a gift from @makoy and it's my precious now. Thank you so much my friend. The bag looks pretty clean with white background like those Quantum suits and the front art features Iron Man Mark 85 and the content of the bag. Here is the two paged instruction of a small build of Iron Man in Quantum suit and Dum-E. As you can see, there's still room for advertisement of other Avengers Endgame LEGO sets at the top right corner of the first page. The Minifigure. Here is the main character of the set featuring Iron Man in Quantum suit. This is the exact same Quantum suit (torso and legs) of the other sets so it is not so 'exclusive' to the set as you can take the helmet and mark 50's Tony Stark head to put on other Quantum suit. Tony's head is also the exact same Mark 50's head. But this will be exclusive when you need to take a group photo of all of them wearing the same suit with different heads. About the suit, despite being so common in this series, it is actually a very clean and nice looking suit with the matt finish of the center part of the torso, Avengers logo and a pinch of reds sprinkled on the torso and legs. Good thing is the legs are also printed makes it look cooler. The Build Dum-E. This is a simple build of Dum-E that assists Tony in his lab. The design of this build is simple yet wonderful. The base is actually resembling its wheels with the use of two black 1x1 round plate. The connector between the arm and the base is kind of 'decorated' by some yellow bricks and connected with the blue technic pin in the middle. The mechanical arm of this build is actually one hinged arm and can only be moved upward and downward. However as it goes nearer to the flame, the articulation improves by the use of this Light Bluish Gray Bar 1L with 1 x 1 Round Plate with Hollow Stud which makes 360 degree rotation of the flame possible. The Light Bluish Gray Bar 1L with Top Stud and 2 Side Studs which connects the flame part also helped in articulation of the mechanical arm. The 'play' feature of this polybag is kind of making Iron Man fly with the help of the Trans-Clear Bar 12L with 1 x 2 Plate End Hollow Studs and 1 x 1 Round Plate End and the Trans-Clear Dish 4 x 4 Inverted (Radar) with Open Stud which is labeled NEW part in Bricklink. I really loved the dish and bar here which can be used to make lots of other things fly and helped a lot in LEGO flight photography! Conclusion This set features the new design of Dum-E which can be easily MOC out and the 'exclusive' Iron Man minifigure. To me it is quite special that the Iron Man here uses the round trans blue tile instead of plate which is quite surprising yet interesting. Other than that it is a quite simple polybag to me. Review SummaryPlayability: 6/10 - Very simple posing features of Dum-E and flying Iron Man.Design / Building Experience: 6/10 - Very simple build.Minifigures: 8/10 - The Quantum suit is actually very nicely designed and printed.Price / Value for money: 8/10 - It is a free promotional item. But it is a priceless gift for me by a very good friend.Overall: 8/10 - A crucial polybag to be collected if you really need a complete Quantum suit Avengers. It can still be replaced by putting iron man head on the other Quantum torso and legs. After some research in bricklink, the NEW Dish 4 x 4 Inverted (Radar) with Open Stud is actually exclusive to this polybag! So it's a worthy polybag after all. Hope you enjoy the review, do share your thoughts in the comments!

[REVIEW] 75810 - The Upside Down

Great review, great photos, great write ups. More scene photos hiding in your flickr album I see.
  12. Haha Love the Last picture Snoke. 50% off.
  13. Hi, this is one of my favorite set. The Hobbit House. OverviewName: An Unexpected GatheringYear: 2012Pieces: 652Minifigures: 6Price: £59.99 / $69.99 / 79.99€Introduction The first movie of The Hobbit was called An Unexpected Journey. That was a story of a reluctant hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, sets out to the Lonely Mountain with Thorin and the company to reclaim their homeland, Erebor. Alright, Erebor was too far away from what's here. Here lies the home of Bilbo Baggins, The Shire. Or some called it a Hobbit hole. The Box At the first glance of the box you will already be fascinated by the box art. You get four dwarves in this set and a very cozy house of Bag End. Behind the box you get to see the interior of the house and some play features you get in the set. You can remove the roof to play with them inside the house. The Instruction You got two booklets in this set. Inside it with numbered bags of four pointing to what shape they will take after building it. At the end of the book, you get the list of minifigures to get to complete the whole series. Have you got them all? Stickered Parts These are stickers on one book and three tan tiles. The book cover was the same with the one he wrote his story for Frodo to read. The BB was signature of Billbo Baggins. The other three stickers were maps drawn by Bilbo after his adventures with the dwarves, or before? The Build After the first bag you can see the wall of the house being built. In front there is the base of the window on your left and the base of the door on your right. On the inside there are a bit of details with the rack and stove building up the dark tan floor. After the second bag, the whole building can be appreciated already. You can see the large green door with Gandalf's 'drawing' on it. The big round plate was printed and exclusive to this set. The interior consist of 3 parts, the rack where Bilbo put his Sting, the stove with a broom, and his study area with a very nice looking window. A clearer view to the rack area. There is The Sting and two bottles of potions. The rack was very nicely built with only one stud width and round pillars. The other side of the room. The stove was 'fired' by two 1x1 translucent red round plate. There is another rack with a letter and a bottle of wine. The trans clear window was amazing! After bag four which is the roof with the chimney and a small tree, you complete the set. The wood planks are actually stickers but with this kind of design, I'm not complaining. The whole view was magnificent! The Minifigures You get six minifigures in this set as introduced in the picture. Gandalf was everywhere! Pointy hat Gandalf was in three other sets which is 9469 Gandalf arrives, 30213 Gandalf at Dol Guldur polybag, and 79010 The Gobiln King Battle. The same Gandalf appears here with a sling bag full of weed and his pointy hat. Bilbo Baggins. He is in his cozy home outfit but he doesn't look comfortable with all the dwarves rushing in his house. He got an alternate sad face as he saw them wrecking here and there! Balin. He is the eldest dwarf in the company and you can tell with his white long beard. You can see wrinkles all over his face and white eyebrows. He is wearing black gloves and he has an angry face at the back. Some say he looks like Santa. Does he now? Bombur. His hair is interesting as the beard was connected with his belly. Underneath the belly was a printed belly in case you lose the hair. He has an alternate face too, find the difference. Bofur. He is bringing his Blue Mountain weed in his pouch on his torso print. The furry hat was very nice mold and well printed. Dwalin. One of the warrior dwarf in the company. He doesn't have alternate face as he is bald. But his back head print was a nice band of dark blue tatto extending towards the front. Story Telling One day, Bilbo was preparing his dinner after reading some books at his cozy little study corner. The garden was quiet as usual, with the sound of birds chirping peacefully. What a nice day! Suddenly, a wagon arrives with a wizard sitting on it. Frodo? Oops, wrong timeline. Okay, lets go back. Now Bilbo welcomes Gandalf to the bench in his garden. Both of them chit chatting, smoking weed in this quiet night. Before Gandalf actually left the house, he drew a GPS signal for the dwarves to gather here using Waze. Knock knock, here comes the first dwarf at your service. Bilbo says, hey! Who are you? After that, more and more dwarves came barging in and Bilbo says, Oh No! My house is so messy now! And the story ends with Gandalf persuading Bilbo into joining the adventure. Bilbo: But they are raiding my foods! Conclusion This set is meant for The Hobbits fans out there! Especially if you've been to New Zealand which I haven't. The realistic design of the house with the arch round pieces and the large round door was astounding. And four dwarves down, nine more to go!Review SummaryPlayability: 8/10 - This is not for play. But it was excellent for story telling!Design / Building Experience: 9/10 - Very nice building walls and windows and the furnitures for interior design.Minifigures: 9/10 - Great minifigures! All the printings and the details exceeds all expectations.Price / Value for money: 9/10 - The prices went up as it retires, but still worth it. Especially after you rewatch the movie.Overall: 9/10 - Its a must buy but too bad its retired. Luckily I made a decision to keep the set rather than sold it out. Edited 11 hours ago by kaelthas
  14. Hi, today I'm going to re introduce you to the LEGO Lord of the Rings characters in their glory days. They started to emerge in 2012 and five years later, I hope they are still remembered. Let's get started. The Fellowship of the Ring. 1. Gandalf the Grey (Mithrandir). Gandalf is the wizard in the fellowship with his classic pointy hat here. He is carrying a brown bar as his staff and a sling bag full of weeds I suppose. He has a crisp grey cape but no alternate face in this variant. This is a quite common minifigure and he appeared in 9469 Gandalf Arrives for Lord of the Rings theme and three more sets in Hobbit theme 79003 An Unexpected Gathering, 30213 Gandalf at Dol Guldur polybag, and 79010 The Goblin King Battle. This is another variant of Mithrandir with grey hair and cape. The difference from the first one is that he has his hair to cover the alternate angry face (pointy hat doesn't). This Gandalf is quite needed as you have to get his battle face. Anyhow he is quite easy to find in a small set 79005. He appeared in two sets in The Lord of the RIngs theme and one set in The Hobbit theme. The one without cape was in 79005 The Wizard Battle and the one with cape was in 10237 The Tower of Orthanc and 79014 Dol Guldur Battle. 2. Frodo Baggins. Ring bearer. Frodo has three variants but only two was shown here as I lost the third one. The three variant shared the same hairpiece, same rumpled jacket with red vest torso and same short brown legs. The differences are the capes and the facial expressions. The Frodo in 79006 The Council of Elrond has a worried and angry face headpiece without cape, this is the one not shown in picture which I've lost. The other two shared the same worried and poisoned facial expression but different cape. The one with dark green cape is from 9472 Attack on Weather Top where he was stabbed by Ringwraith with a Morgul Shaft. The other one with Grey Cape is from 9470 Shelob Attacks where he was poisoned by the giant spider. All of them came with the Sting and the Great One Ring. Three of them representing Frodo from different scene after the Fellowship started their journey. Its very nice that LEGO actually made a new mold for the Sting rather than using the standard sword for him. 3. Samwise Gamgee. Samwise the brave. I want to hear more about him. He is Mr Frodo's Gardener and being punished to follow Frodo with his quest for eavesdropping Gandalf and Frodo's conversation about the ring. Sam was the youngest son of Hamfast and Bell Gamgee, and had many brothers and sisters. He lived with his father, Hamfast Gamgee, known as "The Gaffer", on Bagshot Row in the Shire, close to Bag End. Sam's mother was Bell Goodchild. He had five siblings: Hamson, Halfred, Daisy, May, and Marigold. After Shelob attacked and seemingly killed Frodo, Sam took the Ring, confronted Shelob with the Phial of Galadriel, intending to complete the quest on his own. For this minifigure, he ONLY appeared exclusively in 9470 Shelob Attacks together with Frodo and Gollum. He had a grey cape similar to Frodo's, and wearing a dark tan outfit. Accessory wise he is holding a typical LEGO sword and a diamond as the Phial of Galadriel. He had two expressions. Frowny face and scared face when fighting Shelob to save Frodo. 4. Meriadoc Brandybuck. Meriadoc is also known as Merry in the movie. He was the only child of Saradoc Brandybuck, Master of Buckland, and Esmeralda Took, the younger sister of Paladin Took II, making him first cousin to Paladin's son Pippin, who was clearly his closest friend. Both of them always appeared together in the movie until they are separated after Pippin followed Gandalf the White to Gondor. Here he appeared also exclusively in set 9472 Attack on Weathertop. He has dark orange hair and wearing a dark green coat with yellow vest. His facial expression with a smirking pattern is very special in LEGO and the other expression was a shouting face. He is equipped with a standard sword and short brown legs. 5. Peregrin Took. 'Fool of a Took!' yelled Gandalf after he did something stupid that would bring danger to the company or the quest. In the movie he is well known as Pippin. Pippin was born to Paladin Took II and Eglantine Banks. He was the youngest of four children and had three older sisters, Pearl, Pimpernel, and Pervinca. His father's sister, Esmeralda Took, was the mother of Meriadoc Brandybuck, thus making Pippin and Merry first cousins. Here in LEGO, he exclusively appeared in 9473 The Mines of Moria to perform the act of summoning the cave troll and orcs to the company. He was in his dark blue coat, with his dark tan scarf, holding a standard sword. He has two expressions which were the anxious looking face and the scared face. I supposed that he ought to be scared of Gandalf after what his curiosity did to the Fellowship. Orcs! Some group photos that you can do for the Hobbits. Have you noticed the difference in the hair colors? Go away you evil wraith! I really like the color of their shirts. Alright let's proceed to others. 6. Aragorn. Aragorn II, the son of Arathorn II and Gilraen, also known as Elessar as well as Strider. He was later crowned King Elessar Telcontar and first High King of Gondor and Arnor, since the short reign of Isildur. He was a great warrior and a great lover for Arwen, and as the heir of Isildur bore the shards of Narsil, reforged and renamed Andúril. He appeared in three sets in this brown outfit which makes him quite commonly found. The three sets are 9472 Attack on Weathertop, 9474 The Battle of Helm's Deep, and 79008 Pirate Ship Ambush. In these sets, Aragorn was yet to have the Anduril as his weapon but I am happy to assume that long sword that he is holding is the legendary Elven forged sword. The torch is for him to burn off the ringwraiths that attacked the Hobbits at the Weathertop. 7. Boromir. He is the eldest son of Denethor II, who was Steward of Gondor during the War of the Ring, and his wife Finduilas. He is the older brother of Faramir. He is wearing a blue outfit with a belt just like in the movie but printing a Gondorian horn at the back of the torso would be a nice addition to this very nice minifigure. He came with a long sword and a special shield designed just for him. Boromir actually set out from Minas Tirith to Rivendell by order of his father, Denethor to decipher a riddle that was given to him and his brother in their dreams. Seek for the Sword that was broken, In Imladris it dwells, There shall be counsels taken, Stronger than Morgul-spells. There shall be shown a token, That Doom is near at hand, For Isildur's Bane shall waken, And the Halfling forth shall stand. Then only he joined the Fellowship in the Council of Elrond. He appeared exclusively in set 9473 The Mines of Moria. A little scene with his killer Uruk Hai. 8. Legolas Greenleaf. Laiqalassë, is actually his name when he is in Tol Eressëa ages after he left Thranduil at the end of 'The battle of the Five Armies'. Legolas was a Sindarin elf who was part of the Fellowship of the Ring in the Third Age. and the son of the Elvenking Thranduil of Mirkwood. He then gave his bow to Frodo, pledged to the protection of the Ring Bearer in the Council of Elrond. He appeared in two sets, 79008 Pirate Ship Ambush and 9473 The Mines of Moria. In recent year (2015) he reappeared in LEGO Dimension set 71219 with new clenched teeth expression. He is wearing an olive green outfit which is the same in the movie, with all the Elven curves at the torso. I like it that the print that extended to the legs actually made him looks taller. The Elvish hair is also very nicely carved but it was too big and blocking his head to be fixed to look at the center. He also comes with alternate angry face. 9. Gimli. Son of Gloin. Gimli was the son of Glóin and a nephew of Óin, both former companions of Bilbo Baggins. He was a remote descendant of Durin the Deathless, father of the first house of dwarven people. Gimli stemmed from, but was not an inheritor of, the royal line. Through his father, Gimli was also the first cousin once removed (or "nephew", for simplicity's sake) of Balin, Lord of Moria, and his brother Dwalin, two more former companions of Bilbo. It is also stated in the Unfinished Tales that Gimli was prevented from traveling with his father on The Quest of Erebor because Thorin and company thought him too young, though Gimli, being in his sixties, considered himself ripe for adventure and was disappointed to be left behind. He is a great minifigure despite being common. He is holding a big and a small axe which makes him not so stable but luckily the long bar can act as a stick to make him stand. The beard mold was very detailed but it covers all of his torso, so i took it out to see clearer. The logo of the belt resembles the shape of an axe. Without the manly beard now he looks like a boy. He has an alternate angry face. Hmm the angry face was kind of unnoticeable due to the large beard and helmet. He appeared in four sets, 9473 The Mines of Moria, 9474 The Battle of Helm's Deep, 79006 The Council of Elrond, and 79008 Pirate Ship Ambush. Similar to Legolas, he then reappeared in 71220 LEGO Dimension set with new headpiece. 10. Gollum, or Smeagol. Gollum, originally known as Sméagol, was at first a Stoor, one of the three early Hobbit-types. The name Gollum was derived from the sound of his disgusting gurgling, choking cough. To include him as in the Fellowship of the Ring, he met and followed the company in search of his lost Precious, the One Ring that corrupted him for almost four hundred years in the Misty Mountains, eating raw fishes on his small boat. He grabbed the ring from his cousin Deagol as his birthday present and killed him after he refused to give. He then met Frodo and Sam again when they parted at Amon Hen, being their tour guide to Mordor with his wicked plan to bring them to the giant spider, Shelob. He exclusively appeared in the set 9470 Shelob Attacks. This one is the Wide eyes variant 'equipped' with a juicy fish. There is another variant with narrow eyes which appeared in 79000 Riddles of the Ring and 71218 LEGO Dimension Fun Pack. I am very happy to have them in my display and please share your thoughts regarding this review and the collection of the Fellowship. Thanks for reading and I'm happy to prepare for next series of collection in this theme.
  15. The emerging of custom and bootlegs minifigures made a lot of us confused in which ironman is actually official LEGO Iron Man. So let's compile this up. There was an idea. To make all LEGO Iron Man to fight Thanos in Infinity War. There are total 18 figures here including hulk buster and the nanofig. 76007: Iron Man: Malibu Mansion Attack 76006: Iron Man: Extremis Sea Port Battle 76031: The Hulk Buster Smash 76032: The Avengers Quinjet City Chase 76038: Attack on Avengers Tower 76029: Iron Man vs. Ultron 76051: Super Hero Airport Battle They appeared in these sets. 6867-1: Loki's Cosmic Cube Escape 30167-1: Iron Man vs. Fighting Drone 6869-1: Quinjet Aerial Battle 10721-1: Iron Man vs. Loki 76008-1: Iron Man vs. The Mandarin: Ultimate Showdown 76083-1: Beware the Vulture According to bricklink, the torso and legs are the same. Even the head inside also have the same code number. So I assume they are the same iron man. Thanks Bo-Ching Su for asking! There is a very nice comparison by Jay's Brick Blog about these two minifigures and they are more or less the same. 76042-1: The SHIELD Helicarrier 76072-1: Mighty Micros: Iron Man vs. Thanos 76077-1: Iron Man: Detroit Steel Strikes sh027: Iron Man (Toy Fair 2012 Exclusive) 76048-1: Iron Skull Sub Attack 76049-1: Avenjet Space Mission 5002946-1: Silver Centurion *Added on 3rd April 2019 5005256 2018 Bricktober Marvel Infinity War Minifigures 30452 Iron Man and Dum-E 76107 Thanos: Ultimate Battle 76108 Sanctum Sanctorum Showdown 76131 Avengers Compound Battle Added 76125 Iron Man Hall of Amour for Mark 50. 16. 'Hold on, you gave her wings?!''And blasters.''So I take it you didn’t have that tech available for me.''No, I did.' No blasters or wings for you poor Scott.. So this movie is about the story of antman and the wasp after Captain America: Civil War right before Infinity War. So I suppose we will know why antman is absent when Thanos invaded with is 50% discount ideology. I really love these 'one set to collect them all' LEGO sets. They really make you feel complete. Let's go into the sets. Introduction Remember the previous set of Antman when the first movie was out? I missed that set and didn't buy it. Now there are some increase in the value, but I still manage to get the set from a local reseller. So here I am, having two Antman LEGO sets and a review combo. Hope you like it! Overview Name: 76039 Ant-man Final BattleYear: 2015Pieces: 183Minifigures: 3Price: £19.99 / $19.99 / 24.99€ Name: 76109 Quantum Realm ExplorersYear: 2018Pieces: 200Minifigures: 3Price: £19.99 / $19.99 / 24.99€ The Box The box arts are incredibly amazing for both sets. The previous battle is on a coffee table and the latest battle looks more like a small lab in the Quantum Realm. I'm pleased that the super jumper is no more. The play features are quite little in both of the sets but I'm not complaining as their appearances are amazing. The antman designs are different as you can see from the actual sized photos here. The Content For 76039, we got two numbered bags, one sticker sheet, one instruction booklet, one comic book and two transparent printed wings, I love these exclusive wings! Booklet one, two, parts list 1, parts list 2 and five. Bag one, two and extra parts. 76109 also came with the same content but we don't have the comic book any more. Is it because it is not appreciated? Booklet one, two, three, four and parts list. Sticker sheet. Bag one, two and extra parts. These are the special parts in bag one. I love the printed round tile that looks like a watch battery. The ski base is quite a large part which I prefer it to be several small parts so that it can be more useful in MOCs. I loved this one so much! The printed rounded trans clear windows, wind pipes and the roller skate shoes! The wings for the wasp is nice too but I kinda hoped she got a special new mold. The Build Anthony! This giant flying ant is the main attraction of this set and you won't get it anywhere else. It was so well designed with the wings! This is the top side view after you assembled the parts. The colors used are very nice too. The wings can spread very long and it looks like taking off now. Side view. Here you can appreciate the head, thorax and abdomen of an insect. When he is 'flying'. There are actually two attachment under the thorax to make him fly. Shelob is here! You can actually put a minifig to ride him. The flexibility of the head makes him look like he got his own expression when posed at the right angle. I love this Anthony so much! This is the final build of the set with the up sized 1x1 red brick and 1x2 yellow plate. The stickers are so minimal in this set made me wonder why not just print the LEGO words on the tiles? Run Yellow Jacket! Moving on to 76109, the build only consist of this Quantum Realm Explorer. I love the spherical dock design with round and transparent parts. It looks like arctic explorer but much cooler and more advanced looking. The back of the explorer is surprisingly detailed. I do love the brilliant use of the barrels as the exhaust pipes. The wings of the explorer are attached via ball joints on both sides which makes them stretchable like this. It does feels like Anthony in the previous set to me. The cockpit can only fit one minifig at a time. Top view of the explorer. The roller skate shoes really look cute here as the details of the ship! The completed build. *The trans stand that make wasp fly is not included in the set. The Minifigures The Yellow Jacket, Ant man and Hank Pym in his old motorcycle suit. Look at the amount of details printed on the torsos and legs! If you love antman and minifigures, you wouldn't want to miss this gorgeous set! Their helmets are very nicely molded and The trans red and trans yellow part that incorporated into the helmet showing their expressions really super awesome! The back of their torso are equally detailed. You can even see the part that Ant man broke inside the Yellow jacket by shrinking between atoms. Helmets removed and you can see Darren Cross, Scott Lang and Hank Pym (Saruman?). OMG I really love the helmets. Darren only have one face while Scott is added with puzzled expression and Hank with angry face. Let me present to you. THE YELLOW JACKET! Moving on to 76109. A lot of complains goes to the wasp's helmet. Including me. WHY not use the Ant man's helmet with trans yellow visors? Now she looks ugly. Or at least I thought of this before I got my hands on her. The recycled use of the invincible iron man's helmet is really a lazy move but the printings on it does make her looks nicer. You gave her wings!? The trans blue wings are nice but also a repeated use of parts. Only her torso prints made her looks nice here as a minifigure. Leg prints are also missing for her and the Ghost. Alright enough with the complains for the Wasp. New Ant Man suit! Now he has a blaster and superb torso and leg printings. The Ghost looks nice too with two trans blue blasters. The trophy is quite a mystery to be added to this set. I think we will know after the movie. With all the complains raised for the Wasp, she is quite nice and acceptable after I acquired my copy of the set. The back of their torso is very nicely printed and you can recognize ant man here is actually similar to the ant man in the trailer. All three of them have dual facial expressions. Finally we get a scared face of Scott here. The Ghost we got a Valkyrie face that will look better with the hood on. Helmet off. Hope does have facial expressions under the helmet. Scott is happier than the previous version and for the Ghost, her helmet is printed on the head and it looks quite nice. Haha, here it looks like Scott is surprised to notice that the Ghost looks really similar to Valkyrie in Thor Ragnarok! I took Hope's hair from the other city set and it looks nice on her like that. Comparison of new and old ant man. Is he gaining weight that the belt is curved at the new suit? The back is also different and the new one looks lighter without so much clunky metals. The evolution of ant man suits and I love all of them! Ant man family! So you get what I mean of the helmet is recycled but the printings on it saves the day? Conclusion Both sets are so nice and I can't find a reason not to have them in my collection. Miss them, you will surely regret as a Marvel Ant man fan! Review Summary Playability: 6/10 - Nothing much to play with actually. Design / Building Experience: 10/10 - The design is very nice and I really love Anthony and the explorer. Minifigures: 9/10 - Great minifigures! All the printings and the details are marvelous! A little bit disappointed for the wasp but it's ok, she does look cute here. Overall: 9/10 - These two sets are must buy for ant man fans. The sets are equally worthy with the minifigures in it. I love them so much! Hope you enjoy the review, do share your thoughts in the comments!
  17. Hi folks, I'm making this compilation by using pictures taken from bricklink as I don't have them in my stash. I do sincerely hope this list will help you in collecting these cute Unikitties ever produced. Enjoy! These are the angry ones. I started sorting them using red. It seems like they are still cute here but SDCC version would be hard to get. Then green, purple and blue. The first one from the left is in the large Sea Cow. Others should be easier to get. Colourfully printed unikitties! Here I found that the one from the double decker couch had two expressions but I can't find any coding for that in bricklink. Oh, another SDCC... Lastly these are mostly from the Unikitty sets which is quite easy to obtain and their prices are not bad in bricklink. Special thanks to @julesvincent and @TeriXeri for pointing them out and the pictures. I added this one. Notice the CMF unikitty in LEGO Movie 2 CMF series is a brand new unikitty as I can't see any similar one among old unikitties. The closest one would be tlm081 the SDCC one but the new one has a bigger mouth opening. We have a wolverine wanabe unikitty and a large ultrakatty. Do comment below if I left out any! This is the review of the Minifigure Unikitty Series 1 by the great cmf reviewer @WhiteFang. Hope you like this compilation!
  18. The final episode. The most demanded set of all Bricktober in the history. Is it the movie? Maybe. To me, more of the minifigures here that makes the difference. 5004938 - NINJAGO Minifigures 5004939 - TLBM Minifigures 5004941 - Classic Minifigures 5005257 - NINJAGO Minifigures (2018) 5005254 - Harry Potter Minifigures (2018) 5005255 - Jurassic World Minifigures (2018) Are you ready? Overview Name: 5005256 - Marvel Infinity War Minifigures Theme: Promotional \ Toys R Us (Bricktober) Year: 2018 Pieces: 22 pcs Minifigures: 4 Price: free with purchase of RM199 in Malaysia. Introduction All of them are exclusive to the set. You can find some of them outside but the printings are so different that you will like this version more than others. By going through them one by one, you will feel that it's a whole new experience of Infinity War after all. After they discontinued? Maybe they will be like SDCC exclusives? Okay, that's too much. Let's look into it. Box This box art is the nicest as Thanos is at the upper right corner showing off his fully powered Infinity Gauntlet. The most important number here is the 5005256 so that you can easily bricklink the set. LEGO version of Thanos. Clearer view without the plastic. Go protect Earth! Minifigures Wow! This is the most impressive war machine ever designed by LEGO! The accessories are still simple but the printings are exceptional! Let's look at it from the top to bottom. Helmet. It looks quite full with silver colored prints but when you open it up, you can see there are also printings at the cheek area makes it looked cooler than ever! Head. At the front is Ron Cheadle's smiling face but at the back you have a red coloured HUD printing! But here I think the red is too dark makes him looked like he had a punch in his left eye. Haha. Torso. The nanotech design looks very detailed with the chest piece that looks similar to Tony's mark 50. Back print is quite normal but the both side arm printings are phenomenal! Can we ask for side leg printings to make him complete? The left one is from the Airport battle set.You can see the new war machine prints are much denser than the previous version. The HUD prints are actually the same with Tony's version. The only difference is the colour. I think the red should be more transparent for it to look nicer. The side arm prints that is visible a little bit from the back here makes him look much nicer than the previous one. I can't take my eyes off of him. haha Here you can see the 004 indicating that this is actually Mark 4 war machine. See, the older one looks dull with nothing at the arm. Even Giant man wants the new one. Wong. The most anticipated character to appear in LEGO since the Dr Strange movie. The prints are very nice too. The red and blue colour combination of his robe makes him looks movie accurate. His Asian looking facial hair is also a nice touch to the minifigure. The 2x2 printed tile here is maybe one of the books in the library that he guards. Legs are well printed with the side ones too! Constipation at it's best. Tony Stark! He has side arm printings too! This hair captures the hair of Robert Downey Jr in the movie accurately. The grey jacket with the hood and the nanotech chest piece is also a very nice detailing to the minifigure. The startled face is also a very nice addition to this character. Wong! You are invited to my wedding. Bucky Barnes. This is him after cryo sleep and a new vibranium arm gifted by Black Panther, king of Wakanda. His beard is new and the use of gold colour for the vibranium arm makes it looks elegant! This minifigure also has side leg printings at the right side of the minifigure. The old arm was blasted by Tony so he had a new upgrade. Beard darkens in ice? I'm gonna get that arm. Conclusion I love this set so much as it completes my Marvel Infinity War collection! Everyone here is so amazingly designed, well printed and most importantly, EXCLUSIVE! Marvel fans, what are you waiting for? Review summary Design: 10/10 - Very nice design of minifigures that I have to give full marks for that. Minifigures: 10/10 - Can I be greedy to ask for the Collector to be added to this set as the fifth minifigure? Price / Value for money: 10/10 - Good luck getting them after they are discontinued. Be fast guys. Overall: 10/10 - Did I ever give full marks for any other sets? This is so awesome I have to put 10/10! I hope you enjoy reading my simple review and do express your comments below. Thank you and see you next October! All four sets of 2018 Bricktober.
  19. Hello everyone. It has been a while since my last review. Now that I have my hands on this colourful spacemen set, I gave a little bit of my time to make this review. This is a quick one, if you have any question, just ask in the comment area and I'll try my best to take a photo and answer your question. Enjoy! These are all the space guys I have in my stash now. Not all are included in this set. Introduction There are lots of colours of spacemen since the classic space. I think after getting this set, I only need red and black to complete the whole spacemen collection (correct me if I'm wrong). So what are you waiting for? This is really a worthy set to grab! Overview Name: 70841 Benny's Space SquadYear: 2018Pieces: 68Minifigures: 4 plus a droidPrice: RM49 / £12.99 The Box Very nice purplish blue starter pack sized box. Now you know the names of the spacemen at the back of the box. The content of the box. Two bags without number. The parts in the bags. All other spacemen got classic faces. Only Benny has two facial expressions. Benny's alternate surprised face. He is the only one faded throughout the years. Accessories. The builds are simple and easy spaceship and space cart. The droid feels like Star Wars. The slope is printed. Tony: Great. Now the Infinity Stones can speak. Summary review Playability: 5/10 Not really playable but the colours are great for photos! Design: 9/10 I love the colours! Price: 10/10 Very worthy space starter pack! Overall: 9/10 This is a good set for minifigures. I hope you enjoy reading my simple review and do express your comments below.
  20. 2019 is here and we've seen this set around since March 2018. Marvel LEGO fans are thrilled when the UCS Hulkbuster is finally announced but when it actually arrived, I sensed hatred more than love towards this LEGO mech. So, please leave your comments whether you agree or disagree of the 10 reasons that I gather from the internet. This set is still available in LEGO.com. 1. BLUE TECHNIC AXLE PIN AWKWARDLY PLACED AT THE SHOULDER. All those red and suddenly a blue technic pin showing at the shoulder is quite awkward in this scenario. Maybe a new red coloured pin can be a better alternative? Or we can substitute this Technic, Axle Pin with Friction Ridges Lengthwise coded 43093 in bricklink with a tan or grey coloured part to make it blend into the shoulder pad better than this basic colour contrast of red and blue. 2. WRONG COLOURED CHEST LIGHT BRICK. The light brick in this set is a great bonus for us all and I understand that LEGO only produce red and yellow light bricks in the past. Why not make a new blue light brick for this iconic set of LEGO mech? I'm sure the exclusiveness of a blue light brick in this set will make this set more popular. 3. RESTRICTED ELBOW MOVEMENT. To make this pose, I had to remove the arm at the elbow, and then place it directly on the shoulder and fortunately it works quite well for the photo . Now if you notice the right arm (the intact one), the gold plate at the outer part of the elbow is blocking the arm to be moved side way as well as the grey round plate at the inner part of the elbow. This actually defied the purpose of the ball joint at the elbow which suppose to make the arm more flexible. 4. WEAK GRIP OF THE HANDS. He is holding the fire extinguisher? Or the fire extinguisher is sitting on his last finger? I would say it was a hard time balancing the red can of powder in his hand. Other than that, I like it that Iron man can sit inside nicely without any stud so that he can be easily taken out from the seat. I'm not a MOCer so I can't really suggest how to make another extra finger for him. Longer finger would help in the grip too I guess. 5. LACK OF KNEE JOINT As you can see, the designers traded the stability of the model with the flexibility of his knees. The long brown technic axle is to be plunged into the lower part of the leg so that the weight of the whole model will be directed straight towards the heel. I think there must be another way out for it to be able to pose better. 6. RESTRICTED HIP MOVEMENT. This pose took me 30 minutes to make it balance. As you can see, i removed the knees, and connected only one of the double click ball joints to the hip. The thigh parts are only resting on the lower legs. Luckily the sole of his foot is wide enough to support the 'running' pose. Modification is direly needed. 7. INSIGNIFICANT GLOW IN THE DARK PIECES. Yes! We have glow in the dark parts in this set! But the proportion of the pieces and the size of the model is not right. More pieces or larger parts would be nice. 8. UNABLE TO STAND UPRIGHT. Look at the ball part between the sole and the lower leg, they are suppose to stabilise the model but the space is a little bit too much so the Hulkbuster is kind of leaning on the respective ball part of the leg instead of standing up straight. 9. TOO SKINNY. Hulkbuster in the movie is very bulky and large to be sturdy enough to fight the Hulk. Here he looks a little bit malnourished. 10. STICKERS! The UCS label sticker is very hard to apply without creating air bubbles. The decals for the model is not very abundant here, why not give us printed ones? Alright, now that we are done with the downside of having this model, but to me as a collector, this set is still a must get to complete my collection of LEGO Hulkbusters. For MOCers, this set provides a good framework for you to do modification for a larger and better Hulkbuster. Other than the model, the platform build is impeccable with large black 8x16 tiles, lots of 2x4 tiles, and the side builds of yellow machine arms. The comparison of 76031, 76104 and 76105 Hulkbusters heads. The prints are very nice gold and they are exclusive to their respective sets. This is my previous review of 76031 and 76104. Mark 43 suit with a transparent head. This looks like an unfinished work of Tony. But the details of the suit is definitely magnificent. This suit is exclusive to this set too. The accessories of the set. Veronica is amazing with the stand. The fire extinguisher is my favourite here as it looks so similar to a real one. A comparison with Smaug. He looks like the gold dwarf statue in the movie. I mean the size. More to compare with old Hulkbusters. The height of them are just at the waist of the UCS version. More buildable LEGO figures. Now Smaug doesn't look that big. Conclusion Despite the bad aspect of the Hulkbuster, I still feel that this is a good buy before it retires. As I mentioned above, there are lots of room to make it a better version of Hulkbuster, so this set can become an official collection, or you can modify it to become a bulkier, more flexible version of a LEGO mech. Review Summary Playability: 6/10 - This model is more of a display model on the platform provided. Playability score actually decreased along with the lack of the ability to pose him properly. Design / Building Experience: 8/10 - The design is very nice but it can be better. Too skinny. Still a high score because it can be a good foundation for MOC. Minifigures: 9/10 - Great minifigure! All the printings and the details are marvelous! But why not put a Tony Stark minifigure as well? Overall: 7.5/10 - This set is still available in store. Get it before it retires. Hope you enjoy the review, do share your thoughts in the comments!

  22. Thank you @julesvincent and @TeriXeri for the addition! I made this on a train ride home, and totally relying on bricklink for this, your information is very valuable and I will add them in after I'm home. Thank you so much.
  23. Hi, October is an awesome month for me with the introduction of bricktober minifigures promotion since 2017. To me, these exclusives are really nice to collect. Here is some recap of 2017 bricktober reviews by Eurobricks' marvellous golden reviewer @makoy. 5004938 - NINJAGO Minifigures 5004939 - TLBM Minifigures 5004941 - Classic Minifigures Okay, after reminiscing the past, let's look into 2018. Ninjago is the first bricktober released this year, followed by Harry Potter, Jurrasic World and Infinity War. Let's start. Overview Name: 5005257 - NINJAGO Minifigures Theme: Promotional \ Toys R Us (Bricktober) Year: 2018 Pieces: 25 pcs Minifigures: 4 Price: free with purchase of RM199 in Malaysia. Introduction Last year we thought that was the last bricktober but gladly they're not. Now we are pampered with more interesting minifigures with arm and leg printings. Even the fan is printed. Even me, a non-Ninjago fan, feels happy and excited about these minifigures. Box I love the words at the lower left corner. Limited Edition. Which means you won't find them elsewhere other than this box. I think they heard @makoy's suggestion last year about the minifigures being loosely placed in the box. Let's see why. There are some extension of the black mould plastic at the arm area to secure them in place. I didn't notice that at first but when I tried to take them out single handedly, I can't. Anybody reads these? Can't wait to get out of the box! Okay. Let's go to pose in front of the camera. Minifigures Harumi with the oni mask of hatred. Hmm, as a non-Ninjago fan, I've googled the name of this purple mask. I found out that this minifigure is actually a Princess and the story goes on. Minifigure wise, the print of the mask is truly amazing and two sides of the hair part (plume feather ponytail) can become details of some buildings for MOCers. She is holding two red katana, (I think they are NEW!), with an Armor Rock Shoulder Pads. Look at the printings at the side of the legs! I love them even though they are just a few crack lines there! The other minifigure that wearing this kind of mask are Ultra Violet (Oni Mask of Hatred) and Killow. To my surprise, under the mask is a biker's helmet instead of just one piece mask and I suppose the person under the mask and helmet is Princess Harumi with grey head and white band around the eyes. This minifig had the most accessories in this box. As of the prints, she is printed all over. The grey makes her looks like a statue with expressions. I suppose it's her transformation after she wears the oni mask of hatred? Overall, I really love the detailed prints on her torso, arms and legs. Ugly has a new definition now. Future Jay. So Jay the Blue ninja has grown up and become 'Jackie Chan' in the future and come to the present and for what purpose? Hmm, let's don't go to that. He has arm and side leg prints, and he seems to lose his left eye. No alternate face and a blue ninja robe. Hey Gandalf, he took your staff. 6L Bar with stop ring. Mohawk. He looks scary, with a black spiky hair, and a silver coloured baseball bat. One skull face, no alternate expressions and a highly detailed torso and jean print. The tatoos at the right arm looks amazing too! Yes. 2018 bricktober is better than 2017. So much better. Nya. The best minifigure so far for a Geisha looking girl. The prints are totally marvellous and the fan is very uniquely printed. I like the smirk as the alternate facial expression here on a kabuki-face printing. It's not about you. Conclusion As a non-ninjago fan, I truly don't appreciate this set as Ninjago characters but I still love them with so many detailed prints. This is totally worth for money as the minifigures are exclusive and can be used in so many ways. Review summary Playability: 6/10 - Play feature? I didn't see any at the box art. But you can make a minifigure sit, stand or run, so I give it a six. Design: 10/10 - Yes FULL marks for the design! Minifigures: 9/10 - Future Jay is quite simple, and Harumi is scary. Hence the one point deduction. Price / Value for money: 10/10 - Who doesn't love a free set? (I paid RM199 for the other set to get this free, but it's still worth it!) Overall: 8.5/10 - This is a very good set and I think Ninjago fan would love it. Even I liked it very much. I hope you enjoy reading my simple review and do express your comments below. Harry Potter is next. Stay tuned.

    Review: 70841 Benny's Space Squad

Thanks @Lyichir for the comment. While I'm still thinking of how to answer your question, @Space Police XVIII already did that for me, thanks a lot! Yes! Unbox them now! The 'mandible' of the helmet does get thicker throughout the years. Thanks again @Space Police XVIII for the great picture!
