Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
JLSD replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I so hope they will release a helicopter hanger as the new modular...they have released so many copters that i feel they need a place to "unwind"... -
Goodday All I tried searching this site for the alternate model instructions for 10183 but receive errors..."Wait 8..10...etc seconds before performing another search" . Does anyone have the instructions in pdf and are willing to share? Thanks in advance

Big Rig (10262 Alternative)
JLSD replied to NKubate's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
Not a "B" model by any means. This is definitely "A". Sweet job and amazing creativity! -

So agree with @mocbuild101 , specifically points 2 and three...never enough of #3! I'd open another account on EB and vote for these two...oops. For point five...I think we missed the boat already.

Judging by the respondents, there are very few “newbies” which have provided feedback. This alone is worrisome. It is by no means a reflection on the establishment – it tells me that of the many thousands of users, only a handful have responded. ~1,300 views with a couple of users responding. Trouble. This post warrants the main page. I too fear the “political correct” when replying to posts – watch my grammar, choice of words, audience, that I often tell myself “f” it, and do not reply. I joined EB to learn and be taught from others new ideas and ways to take this joy I have with ABS to other levels – there is expertise on this site, no question about this. I follow Town, Train and General. There is loads of “filler” in each post which is somewhat bothersome. I like the idea of contest, yearly for best MOC. I would like a rating system applied to a new MOC post, instead of replying with a “Sweet MOC! Thanks for posting” and getting a quoted “thanks”. We can rate it for originality, use of parts, etc. I do scan the other forums for new ideas but it is rather difficult – pictures tell more than words, so I just look for pics embedded into the post and neglect to read anything in between because of what I mentioned above. Reviews – I do not believe the site can compete with what is out there already. Really, how can anyone compete with JANGBRICKS or Just2good or other sites. They are experts at what they do and do it extremely well. Games, FP, Tags – nope for me. Thanks for your time.

AFOL with Spouses not into Lego, what's your agreement?
JLSD replied to FatherOf2Boys's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Ok, time to chime in. I got divorced 10 years ago and took my tools and...Lego (I omitted the "s" in Lego cause she took that with her). I purchased a small home and moved the collection to the basement. Interesting thing happened during my divorce...my two wonderful kids (aged 11 and 13 at the time) decided to stay with their dad...hmmm, i wonder if Lego had any part to do with their decision.... -

This is one sweet and inspiring build! Thanks for posting!

All very good points and arguments. My buying habits have changed in the past couple of years...away from licensed and more towards city/creator and Ideas. I guess in my old age i'm getting back to my roots...

Yes! Love it! Welcome!

This is a clean sweet build! Can you please post a pic of the undercarriage?

Sweet job. I like what you did with the wall at the back of the resto. Well done!

I really agree with @Paperballpark. We are not the target audience. We are all like children (me included) awaiting to open those gifts under the tree...even having to wait ever so patiently for four years! We may not all have the same opinions of what's sweet or not no sweet about what we have seen or read...but we can all give our two cents and its the cool thing about this forum. What I am really impressed with is the creativity of this group. With the leaks and assumptions of the new sets, the MOC's created based on these leaks and grainy photos, it is amazing what the group has come up with. This is the coco at it's finest! Exactly what Lego is all about. Keep on fascinating and fantasizing!

Alright then. It's almost here this twenty-eighteen...and time is ticking on the vote for favorite classic set of 2017. I was lucky enough to visit GB this past summer with my daughter and visited the flagship Leicester store. Like a pilgrimage to my youth, I was astounded by the lineup to set my feet into the shop. Once inside, the muscles in my neck grew two-fold as I was awed by the displays. I managed to pick up some goodies there...about a case full...and was impressed with the classic creator building box #10703...still not available to us in North America. I have to say, it is by far my favorite classic set of seventeen. I ask my fellow members, what is your favorite?
