  1. Hello All, This is an attempt to model a cool, nostalgic car from Eastern Germany, the last model of the Trabant factory in Zwickau. I have created this model as a birthday gift to my best friend who used to drive us around in a car like this in his early twenties. If you like this MOC, you can suppport it on the Lego Ideas site - thanks! https://ideas.lego.com/projects/a4bbe629-6520-44f3-ba50-318457e26255 Lego Trabant Universal 1.1 by Dan Falussy, on Flickr Backview by Dan Falussy, on Flickr Openall by Dan Falussy, on Flickr Interior by Dan Falussy, on Flickr
  2. Ah, the steering again - what turning radius will that be, 20 metres?
  3. Thank you All for your kind comments :)
  4. That seems to be the same element that the Unimog uses twice in its chassis, here only seems to house the CV joint of the steering that goes from the dashboard to the rack.
  5. That is absolutely brilliant man! Seeing these colors, I think the purple is the most badass. Could you perhaps create a version where you swap 4 curved panels on the white body to red ones so to create the stripes effect?
  6. I'd like to see a supercar that is not the typical sportscar but has a rather bigger interior with back seats and 4 doors. It would be nice to see some clever system to fold seats, adjust seats (distance from pedals and adjusting height too). It would be great to have a rather elaborated interior built with ONLY classic system elements because we know how satisfying that is, a realistic (8880 style) shifting gear (5+R), maybe a system for working wipers (it would require a very clever mechanism just as in real life). Just like someone mentioned: actual lockable/operable doors would be brilliant. So all in all more and more amazing mechanisms to witness while building and then to childishly play with and for me less power functions are desired.
  7. This may have been covered on this forum already, so sorry if repeating: Is it possible this set could have working front and rear lights - do you think there would be enough space to hide some batteries and all the cables for that based on now-available photos?
  8. Of course, what I meant was the space from the bottom up till the large black panel between the rear wheels - naturally there's the differential and the suspension to take some space, but the overall width of that area could hold some other stuff too - but I may be overthinking...
  9. Hi all, I also kinda hope there won't be power functions for features like opening hood/door etc, but it still bugs me what will be betwen the seats and the engine. It seems to have a very big area, I think it would be a shame if it was left there kinda empty. What if there is some sort of pneumatic compressor system (with an air tank) with which one would be able to adjust the height of the chassis or maybe the spolier angle etc? Very hypothetic i know, but that would be very new and awesome for a supercar.
