That is correct. I been buying my brown directly of PAB for that reason. The Seven Seas Barracuda uses 2000 or so brown pieces and took me several years to order since my initial design. Even the files for these are not accurate to the stable design I finallized recently. This will give me the exterior pieces I need to order. The 4 decks inside will likely be similar to my other ship. This ship is suppose to be the Navy version prior to Redbeard capture, painting and renaming it The Barracuda. The galleon ship I worked in since 2018 is now complete. I redesigned its exterior to fit closer to the newer Barracuda Bay set. I began ordering parts in 2020-2023 while reworking the structure and develping a new set of realistic mast designs. Ill share photos later this week. What area do you need to focus on exactly? I can supply the file for you to mess with. The galleon doesnt use many of the same pieces as the set. The forecastle has been entirely reworked. Just a warning if you want the file. The Barracuda galleon is about 5000-6000 pieces without the newly design masts.

Target now has the Batman 1992 polybag is stock. They are keeping them in the backrooms and must be requested. I went to 5 different locations searching for other Christmas items but discovered each one has a full case. I don't need one, just thought you all may want to ask your local toy aisle employee to get one. They also had others they brought out to show me and I only picked 1 copy up since I felt bad.

After watching The Flash in theaters I felt compelled to revisit my Tim Burton era mocs. This project will take time constructing in Studio. The original 1989 Batman film didn't have many production photos showcasing the Batcave. The few photos and Matte paintings showcased a deep cave with some sorta cement structure that appeared to be a dam. The film never showed an photo or location shot from above. The Flash film took liberties on what Wayne Manor looks like on their exterior shots. Tim Burton used a model and real exterior shots of several buildings in the UK. The batcave sound stage set was quite small and most the production money went into the Gotham City street set. The Flash set designers did what they could to reconstruct a batcave that would house everything people admired about the Burton Matte paintings and small film set. The Flash 4k came out and had plenty of feature film shots and "making of" tours inside the Batcae to help me draw up the basic floor plan. The entire sound stage used for the film is located in Leavesden, England. Based on the credits page and looking at the various turnaround 3d viewers of Warner Brother's sound stages, I concluded that the film built the batcave on Stage C. Based on the production videos and photos constructing the set, I used the top rafters and people for proportions and reference to figure out which sound stage they used. The sound stage fits the proportions of the Batcave based on the production photos and rafters and sky walk bridges located above the set. The Flash film shows a Bat symbol kite flying above the cave and waterfall with a river flowing near Wayne Manor. The first time we see a forest, wayne manor, a road in the forest leading towards the river, and a good grasp how large that cave is because Wayne Manor is not on top of it. Considering how far away the well is located in the film from the mansion, and knowing it enters next to the computer station, I am guessing that the main entrance to the cave from the manor was not fleshed out for the film. Ideally the maintenance elevator would go up to the manor, but it actually leads to nowhere when you look at the aerial shot of the area. The closest place to the manor would be the batmobile entrance. One could argue the curved bridge leading to a door on the side of the cement wall would act as a passage t the mansion as well. Lego doesn't sell them in their stores. Those are strictly made for retail shops. Here in the states we see them at Target, Walmart, Meijer, and locally owned lego shops. I suggest checking to see if Spain has any local lego stores not run by LEGO.

Based on the Dr Strange Polybag I expect the Batman one to arrive around August. The Dr Strange was available in February, but didn't show up in retail until May.

I do love the new sets. I think I want to heavily modify the Raiders concept. I want to recreate the entire sequence proportional to the film. Not only proportional in scale, but accurate in set design. The image below is from the Indiana Jones Ultimate Guide hardcover. And a great screenshot from the set design RAIDERS Set Design The set design photo shows that the boulder is about 10 to 12 feet away from the main golden idol room. It curves around the room leading to the room with spikes. As you can see in the cross section this sorta gives a rough estimate on proportions and size for the entire set. The boulder was about 10 to 12 feet in diameter. If I use that and the golden idol room set photos as a clue to scale. I would say the idol room was about 24 foot diameter. The set photos and screen shots of the movie from the guide book and internet searches sorta clue how large this area was. I would think that the entire set would rest on less than a 2ft length and be easy to develope hinges to open up like a rolling mat to reveal the entire sequence for display. The entire set could be built with a 2/3 ratio display like the current set. The finished area to complete the build as a fully emmerse environment would rolll out and then detach with technic pins. This means the entire right side of the model would not be used when in display mode. I think it would roll out to be about 3 to 4ft wide. The boulder sequence isn't as long as it appears to be in the filmnwhen you see the set design photo. It may only be 30 to 40 studs wide. I would need to do some blue print design ideas to mapnout the concept, but I think it may solve the scale issue. The nice part of doing it this way you can do gears and such under or behind the set without an issue by raising it up about 10 bricks fir a nice pit effect or leave it flat like the set. The floor would be able to be pressure sensitive and activate different items or just have motion to them. The floor patterns and stone work could be displayed nicer with this concept as well. May attempt to moc up a layout or floor plan to see what looks right.

Those are by Harris Bricks. He designed them with shield designs as well but has not gotten these printed. He did a few stickers for himself. His designs are outstanding. If you want printed custom forest and castle minifigures I suggest ktown. They have a great assortment of pad printed designs. I picked up a few of the new BAM minifigs today and I do enjoy the unicorn head. The pirate skeleton torso works with the castle theme as well.

I got a few fedora/hair combo from ebay. A customizer suggested heating up a drill bit on the stove and shape the fedora before using a dremel or sanding tools. 1 try did it. The new Raiders fedora worked out well. The front needed to be raised to get that sharp point you see him in the temple of the golden idol. Im glad i took the time on this final hat. I'll buy more when LEGO releases them on pick a brick and do a few more with this technique.

Definitely 2 colors. The underside shows the dark brown color I side the hat. It stops at the band and clearly has reinforced dark brown plastic where the band would set. I can confirm that the reason why the new hat uses a round cowboy dome instead of arched crown on the fedora is to have room for the brown and dark brown plastic to harden together. They should have made the crown a bit taller to .are the proper shape. I can also confirm the Hat is wider than the original fedora. Not sure why. The would hat is more circular on the brim than longer. The shape fits a cowboy hat shape. They didn't try to use the fedora shape at all. Crazy mod I used a dremel on 3 hats to reshape them to fit Temple of Doom, The Last Crusade and Raider styles. They all have unique crown shapes and I learned the hard way you cannot shave the top down too far or else you hit dark brown plastic. I may need to buy extra hats when they become available on bricklink or pick a brick. After 2 attempts the third hat has a nice shape resembling the Last Crusade fedora. The Raiders shape needs a taller crown. I did my best to make it work but I found the dark brown at the top. I did not follow a standard lego symmetrical design on the hat as it it isn't perfect on any of the film hats. The shape for the point is different on raiders and even isn't symmetrical on both arches. I used reference to hit the correct punch on both hats for each film. I sanded them down using 240 grit - 10000 grit. I think I could perfect the shapes with a few more hats. Until I get ahold of more hats the 3 I have will be fine to use. Lego stores in USA got new truck shipments in today since tomorrow is Good Friday. I was able to pick up all three sets. From what I can tell the duel molded hat does not use ink for the band. It's also part of the duel mold coloring.

Agree. LEGO owes nobody anything. They never announced the set was cancelled. LEGO creates joy and pushes creativity and imagination. Licensed products are a plus if they feel it's worth the time and effort to develop and reach audiences across the globe. Some succeed, some don't. They are bringing Indiana Jones to a new generation of LEGO enthusiasts to share and enjoy. We should celebrate the fact this product line is coming out. If the internet didn't exist we would have no knowledge that LEGO delayed a product or decided to shift gears. The only way we used to know what was coming out was though the holiday catalogs or commercials. Don't like how they designed the sets? Modify it or create your own. That is the beauty of LEGO. Celebrate the fact that if it were not for Lucasfilm LEGO would have went bankrupt and we would not have the product around to enjoy.

Lots of angry people posting when in fact we should be happy LEGO is offering new and updated sets for a franchise that many children do not know. They gave it to the adults because they can not because they had to. I'll be there day 1 buying multiple sets and modifying the hat. Love the new jacket details look forward to sharing this experience with my teenage son.

Now that LEGO officially announced the sets on their website I want to share the minifig change I wish they did. The hat and shoes. The fedora on the new mold uses a cowboy round top crown and does not sink inward in the center like the original fedora. The pinch is wider apart as well. Since they were creating a mold that probably will be used elsewhere this makes sense, but honestly the money should have been spent ensuring the mold fits the theme it was from. With simple adjustments in photoshop I made a new hat correctly proportioned to something similar to Raiders and Temple. The pinch in Raiders is very tiht and may break or snap on lego molds so I kept it the same distance as the original fedora. The fedora needs to be vertical even with the ribbon. Based on the dimensions of the new hat, I do not know if I could stretch the hat by heating it. May attempt this concept. The shoes could have been done with painting them, not necessarily duel molding. I saw somewhere a person cut off the feet of minifigs and swap other feet on them using heat or ABS cement. Neat concept, doubt its easy to do for LEGO since its lower than the boot area for molding. Would introduce a wold of a difference having shoe duel molds.

With the various reviews posted I think I take back my previous comments about the fedora. They did a generic tapered hat with wide point in front instead of a closer point. The older fedora had a closer center and correct top shape curves. The only problem I had with the original fedora was the angles on the side instead of keeping it straight. The new hat appears to have been made for future Lego use and not specifically for these sets. They must have used the cheap disney brand hat not the movies for reference. The hat has a round top inside the sides like the new figure. I fixed it in photoshop and made a few variations like the Last Crusade and Raiders style hat. The shape of the minifig head makes it too wide. The solution I am happy with was a mixture of ideas from the films that fit the wide minifig head. The only issue is the top of the crown cannot be modified from the new hat because it's not tall enough. The other part of the new hat that isn't correct is how it had a round top instead of it curving in to form the "m" shape. Instead it follows the wider cowboy hat style that doesn't work for him. They basically used the newer cowboy hat and changed the brim. The only way I think the hat could be molded would be heating it and see if the whole thing would stretch vertically and then sand the front and top. Sadly I did a quick fix in photoshop and they could have easily did this for the new hat since they went for a new mold. My only explanation is that they didn't want it to match so they could use it elsewhere.

After seeing the review photos and videos I got to say that fedora is spectacular. The crown running up the sides are straight and no taper until the band is great. The arches at the top of the crown fit the Raiders shape. The hair doesn't bother me as much as it did in the beginning and I love the duel molding that uses a dark brown band. The subtle color used for the button shirt is great. The sets are built with playability in mind so they don't bother me.i do hope the Temple of Doom set will come out since I would love to have an updated Shortround. The ark is the only item I will replace with a custom build.

A little bit of 1000-4000 grit sandpaper could easily fix that hat shape. Blasphemy. If it's duel molded then no issue with sanding it down a bit. The taper should be actually straight down from the crown. It appears that the hat just needs to do that and straighten out the ribbon on the hat as well. As for the hair, if it doesn't have a bunch of texture on it then it would be a simple sanding job as well. I'll test this out over the summer and see if it solves the issue. The shape of the hat has to meet LEGO standards for durability. We need a higher resolution for the printing. I wish they did duel molded legs with brown shoes. I'm excited for this updated figure.

If we ever got Mario minifigs using normal minifig heads then they could reuse the past cmf minifig animal head masks such as the fox or make new molds that cmf collectors would like to have. The mushroom people could have custom mushroom hats that you could easily use with bricks to make plantlife as well. The turtles would be built with similar TMNT shell backpacks etc. I think they made a neat series of megs figures that are east to play with, but they would go much further with the brand in minifig scale. The castle, ships, etc could still work with the figures if they use a similar tech like lego dimensions. That is where they could use chips in there that read with a sound display box or interact with some electronic hub inside plants or a pipe instead of making the figures the electronic device.

The designer interview said that it is hollow inside and can fit a flag pole stem in it. The designer asked other designers if a part like this would be useful eith the curved back vs the square one and agreed that the angle range would make sets easier to design.

That is one option I will try because it still hides the quiver , but doesnt affect the cape This was the solution I did without pressing against the fabric.

Barnes and Noble in Akron Ohio just put out a fresh box of Series 23 and 24 today. I snagged 3 falconer knights, 1 orc, a carrot costume, a turkey costume, and 2 yellow castle knights. I didn't grab more than what I listed above. Happy hunting.
