Couldn't hurt to include Dumm-E somewhere right? (that little robot guy on treads from the movie...Still one of my favorite "figs" from the Iron Man series) Edit: Holy wow, didn't realize this was such a blast from the past. Well, still cool job from seven months in the future.

You can't really say how important of a character he is without having seen the movie. I am almost willing to bet Agent 13 gets more screentime than him, she seems like someone who is going to be a love interest or close ally for Cap. If he was going to be in a set, It makes sense to have been part of the airport battle which seems like it's going to be the big fight of the movie. -
If you're a licensing partner for Lego wouldn't you want the sets to promote the current product you are selling?

The arms are the same you see on every bigfig, but otherwise they are different molds. Hulk 2014 has no toes or torn pants molding on his legs and a torso construction that is more modular, I suspect so that other bigfigs can use the same lower torso and only require a single new mold for the head. -
The ones in the games aren't designed with printing in mind, I'd imagine there's all kinds of issues in trying to just transfer the designs to their printing system. Plus, I mean, if they just used the ones from the games I'd imagine they'd have to pay TT for the designs. Seems kind of a waste when they've got tons of illustrators on the team who are already being paid to make minifigures.

I literally didn't concieve of people not liking Wall E until this set was announced. I mean seriously, what kind of human being doesn't enjoy a Pixar film? I know it may not be on the top of everyone's lists, but it's certainly gotta be up there. Anyway, while I'm sad we didn't see this years ago, I'm glad it's coming out now! Great choice.

Lego Loosing the Ball with Superheroes Sets

Why would Marvel want to promote their movies over their cartoons? The movies are watched one time, with the show if you can get kids hooked you can glue their eyeballs to the screen once or twice a week at the very least. I think it makes way more sense to use Lego as a way to promote the shows over the films. It never can be repeated enough that people on this website are not the market Lego is trying to capture with these sets. Why is everyone always so insistant they should cater to us when it's so against Lego's own interests? -
Static Shock is the one that comes to my mind immediately, would love a figure of him.

You guys tend to forget the licensor half of the discussion when talking about these Lego sets; I don't know why, but Marvel is pushing the spider vehicles hard in their spiderman cartoon, and I'm not surprised the sets reflect that. They also love pushing their main characters - remember back in the nineties when you'd have twenty batman action figure variations for every one villian? Which ties into another factor here; Lego is marketing to two distinct groups: kids, and the parents who will be the ones actually buying the sets. They want to have a recognizable character for parents to pick up instead of some obscure third stringer they wouldn't know which would make them skip the set in the first place. That means lots of spiderman and batman and so on. Same reason you get a Harry Potter and R2D2 in every other set.

That's a real stretch to say the least. I'd be incredibly shocked to ever see a Kingdom Hearts inclusion within the Disney Princess line.

Saw this live at Brickfair, truly an incredible build for any fan of the show. There's also a sweet second face for the "Chicken Enthusiast" which I'm sure fans of the show will enjoy. Also is the third figure not intended to be Jesse? I honestly didn't ask when I was there. -
I don't think so. It's got a very respectable following in the UK, sure, but the US ratings are still pretty tiny, and definitely not close to what Airbender was getting when the line was released. Not to mention the whole cartoon factor making avatar a much more marketable line. Doctor Who has a fantastical setting yes, but I don't think it's nearly as marketable to children.
