Teeth I'd assume :P You guys would stop being so jaded about Lego if you'd stop hoping for masks year after year...it's just never going to happen. Being mad at Lego for it is just pointless by now....

What, you actually expected Mask Packs? Optimism is fun and all, but this is just silly.

I've never understood why a store would ever even care. The target audience is long gone-heck, BZP is a perfect example, there's a few crusty oldies and pretty much everyone else is a new face. They say over and over the audience of today is completely new, that's why they did away with gears and whatnot. So they're not gonna care about how the Nuva look. Meh.

Ironic, because I found 2007 to be the best year ever. The designs were fantastic, and the characters were interesting. On the by-and-by, has anyone noticed that whatever it is the Phantoka shoot opens up with little spidery things inside? Also, if each Toa and Baddie gets a Matoran buddy, does this mean when the other six canisters are released they'll have small companions as well?
-
Why does everybody like these Phantoka again? All I'm seeing is this crappy little action feature that's going to leave them with a big hollow thing in the middle when used.

Depending on what ones they are, I might be willing to buy. Specifically looking for the Visorak Gate. After purchasing both Lesovikk and Hahli, I think the prescription is simple carefulness. Not a single one broke, I just made sure to counter the pressure caused by the ball joint on the limbs when I put it together. Haven't tried deconstruction or anything, they're for posing, so if you're using the pieces for MoCing purposes I dunno what to tell you. Still, if you're just careful of what you're doing you've got nothing to fear.

Matoro's not going to willingly betray his teammates, but his duty to the Great Spirit, and the fact that Makuta is haunting his every turn, might force him to do things he would never consider and twist him for the worse. In any case it's a story worth watching. -

a little part of my brain died after reading that post. -
The idea is if you also put your blasters on full strength for too long you also lose a life.

Yet another reason NOT to buy the 2007 playsets
InnerRayg replied to Zarkan's topic in LEGO Action Figures
S'ok, Pirates is crud too. I kid, but still kind of redundant to say it's crud, then "no offense." By gods, just stick with your opinion :P I'll admit it's crap for Lego to do this, but I think the little submarines by themselves look pretty cool. I don't buy the sets for the mini figures anyway, I've hated them all three years :P Although those little Visorak were fun to flip.... -
Still waiting.... :P

But I am staff on BZP, and I don't want to get hung for passing these along. however, I've gotten enough information to almost definately say these are fake. The guy who posted them has posted elsewhere on a Polish website (he's polish, obviously), that they are not real. In lieu of that, here's the [Gallery FYI, you were supposed to search for BIONICLE2008 -

BZP. If you do a Maj search you'll find it in two seconds, you just have to use logic. It's about Bionicle...it's in 2008.... -

Doubt it, but I've seen em. Didn't save the pictures and don't plan to release them. In a nutshell: The Nuva are the opposite end of what you all expected. They're the old Nuva with some new limbs. New weapons...but not "new" weapons. Look like same masks, but new molds. Yeah, Pohatu's yellow, but he's still got some brown. Basically take what was Tan and turn it yellow. He's not upside down, btw. Basically, I'm gonna call either fake or really early prototypes. Oh, and the Toa Ignika is gonna get you guys pissed. Yeah, it's got the Mask of Life, but not in the right color :D On second thought, I'm going to call these fakes. There are no new peices. I think it's just a really well done mock-up. -

Then again, there are a lot of fans, and stuff that tries to cater too much to each of their tastes always fail. In the meantime, somebody posted up 08 set pictures and nobody here has them. I am severely disappointed in you all. From what I hear of the pictures, they were both pretty legit and gonna make a lotta people happy. Very Nuva-ish. -
Yes, but do keep the original mask...I guess most people don't like it, but I think it still stands as a very cool Kanohi either way.

Just to let you know, that Makuta=species thing has been fact since 2001, we just didn't know it back then. Don't blame Greggie for it, blame our ex-Story Head. Willing to bet that the idea that there were lots of Toa was going around back then too...I mean, come on, every single fan had a story about their own personal Toa who just happened to be around, it's not like anybody really wanted there to only be six. -
Everyone agrees that everyone has their own opinion. Anyway. DO YOU PLAN ON MAKING ANY OTHER MAHRI? LIKE KONGU?? if, perhaps, anyone would be interested in getting back on topic.

Technic 8270 Rough Terrain Crane Review
InnerRayg replied to Siegfried's topic in LEGO Technic, Mindstorms, Model Team and Scale Modeling
My bad. I must have been drinking cough syrup. I thought this was some kind of Mini-crane they might use to lift very small bits of steel. *smack of the head against wall* -

Exactly, it's not like it's any inconvenience to you if BZP doesn't host the pictures, so what's to complain about? :P In that vein though, I still remember the touch of horror that struck my body when I saw the Piraka prototypes. I'm much more happy with them now...the characters behind them (genuine Anti-Toa if I ever saw one) are very interesting. -
Sarcasm. It just doesn't work on the Internet. In any case. That's great. You don't like Bionicle. The people who buy it, the ones who have made it a top-selling line for Lego, the people who have made the Bionicle shelf the only one I've seen completely cleared out while Exo-Force withers away, Creator sets still leave boxes unattended, and Technic dies a little more on the inside, tend to like it a little. who is to say which of you is right?

I'm actually debating with myself. It will be tempting when the pictures come out (I'm expecting September by the latest) to take a gander...but this is the Nuva we're talking about. I don't want to spoil it, especially when I know how bad prototype pictures make these things look when in reality they can be really cool. -
He actually looks pretty cool, but the Black Kraahkan doesn't work as well with the color scheme as his mask/face does now. If there were a red version of the Mask of Shadows though.... I love Lesovikk's Lime mask, but I really don't understand the attraction everyone seems to have to him. Seems odd to hate the Mahri and then take to a green, stripped down version of Hahli.
