These all look pretty cool! I really like the various techniques he used on the heads/faces. Kinda wish he would've at least given me a little credit since he did "borrow" my joint and feet techniques. -
This is beautifully constructed and designed! Love how you acheived the round shape of the room.

Thanks for the blog, Doc! Whenever I build in this theme I truly try to imagine the vehicle working "for real". I'm glad you noticed all the practical details.

I would love to see more builders make Steampunk SW builds. I have several other models in the theme, if you care to check out my Mocpages, Flickr, or on here. Mini fig scale Slave 1 is on the top of my list, now.

Thanks alot! It did turn out kinda narrow, but I didn't want this to be too bulky. Remember, this has to fly through the air rather than through space. As far as the minifig version, it'll be the same basic design just bigger!

UPDATE! Thanks to Darth Dino's suggestion, I replaced Maul's eyes with cheese slopes to make him look angrier. And, thanks to A Plastic Infinity's suggestion, I added minifig hands to the fingers to give a jointed look. Oh, Sith! Not again! My 3rd entry in the Clone Wars Community Build: Darth Maul! This guy took a bit longer to build than I originally thought, but I'm very pleased with how he turned out. I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to finish this build, til I got some ideas about how to finish the legs. I honestly feel like this is one of my best builds! I think I will attempt some new pics with a darker background, as some of the leg details aren't noticeable. Please let me know what you think! Thanks to the Admins for running this CB. I had alot of fun!

I actually think they shouldn't have changed his first look. The second version is too...normal. So, no; no plans to build that version.

Nice! One of my favorite features of the original clones was that big@ss cannon! Nice build of that and love the Jedi smashed into the ground.

The deadline was extended till may 31 anyway. Love all the structures in this and the use of those old Vulture Droid printed tiles.

This looks pretty awesome, so far! As for ideas/suggestions, I would replace the plates you have going across the wings with tiles, but that's juat cause I prefer a studless look. Also, the cannons on the wings look a little small/lacking detail. Just some thoughts. I love the piece you used to connect the cockpit to the body.

I like the setting here. I'd say just add a different fig besides Ahsoka. Your scene doesn't have to be an actual part of the show (although, it's preffered). I think putting a fig (or 2 or 3) in there fighting Grievous would be way more exciting than just the General standing there. Just my thoughts.

Thanks! Well in the EU Visionaries story, his legs are dark grey. In the Clone Wars show, they are black with dark grey highlights.
