  1. I can't seem to get Stud.io running on Ubuntu 18.04 (also tried 16.04). I can start Stud.io, but the images of the bricks don't show on the palette. Importing a project (.lxf) also doesn't work. It displays an explorer for a fraction of a second and then nothing... Anybody have this up and running with either Wine of PlayOnLinux? Maybe some specific settings and tweaks? Meanwhile LDD runs smooth btw... Thanks!!

  3. Hi again All! I recently finished my new LEGO Ideas project "The English Townhouse". It started as a design for the Darling House from Peter Pan, but apparently Peter Pan is now an "active license" on Ideas since this weekend. The Disney flair would have certainly helped to promote my project, but I decided to give it my best ?! What do you think could be a fun addition to it? Would adding some minifigures help? https://ideas.lego.com/projects/b1054ed0-952e-4229-ba86-835e344a10ad

Thanks! Yeah, I think I will try to find some nice minifigs and maybe sneak in a few extra hints to Wendy Darling :-). Thank you! Really had fun trying to make the furniture a bit unique. Sometimes hard to find something that hasn't been done yet, but quite happy with how it turned out. Might spice up the hallways and living room just a little bit, but there is a fine line between just enough and too much :-).
  6. Hi all! Long time reader here, but not an avid writer. I finished my house from the movie Up a while ago in Stud.io. Have to wait until summer to gather all the necessary parts to build it in real life. I'm planning (hoping) to have it finished for the Skærbæk Fan Weekend in September. In the meantime I would like to hear your (if necessary unvarnished :-)) opinions and suggestions to improve this. Your constructive critisism is welcome! Thanks for your advice! I think you hit the nail right on the head. I kind of lost myself in the exterior look so much that the scale felt less relevant. So it is a bit too big for minifig scale. I did make a Carl that could fit the scale. I could try to add him sitting on the porch. If it doesn't work out, I might have to start the daunting task of resizing it to minifig scale. BTW, I already tried to add the balloons, but because of part count issues, I'm afraid that's not going to work out :-). Oh, and I'm also a supporter of your Home Alone house! Looks awesome!
  8. That worked like a charm, thanks a bunch!!
