We also got Deadpool and we're getting Iron Fist. We HAVE some obscure/fan favorite characters. I'm not opposed to more, but I think I'd rather get iconic characters first.
-
Orcs in my head were green, so I want a bunch of green orcs. It's my opinion that two of the same fig in one set that's a little too expensive to purchase more than one of hardly counts as "covered." As always, YMMV, but no one will twist your arm to make you get more.

What would I like to see in future waves? Faramir (my favorite character from the book) Witch-King more elves more Moria orcs battle packs
-
I saw some of the sets at Wal-Mart yesterday morning. They should be trickling out soon, if not already.
-
I see what you did there...good idea.

I paid the TRU markup to build the Mines of Moria set on my day off, only to log in and see I could have gone to the TLG store at the mall and got it without the markup. I'd take it back for a refund if I hadn't already built it.

The only glaring ones are Iron Man in the Cosmic Cube Escape set and Cap's bike, but watching the movie I was impressed with how right TLG got the sets, especially in comparison to PoP or even PotC from last year.

Has anyone seen the new cowl in dark blue yet?

I think they look great! I think if you were to change anything, you'd lose the gold highlights on the armor and it would spoil the look. Keep them how they are.

What DC/Marvel Hero/Villain Do You Most Want To See Made In LEGO?
punkkid364 replied to Mr. Elijah Timms's topic in LEGO Licensed
For Marvel I'd like to see a Silver Surfer (preferably in pearl lt. gray or metallic silver so he doesn't wear out like some chrome pieces do,) a black suit Spidey, a WWII era Cap, a Red Hulk and a bunch of X-Men, preferably with one sort of standardized uniform (or one for males and one for female) so we can go above and beyond what TLG decides to give us. For DC, I'd go with the much-requested Heath Ledger Joker and Green Lanterns, maybe again with some sort of "standard" uniform so we can build a whole bunch of different ones. Watchmen would be cool too, as would V...those seem really unlikely though. -
Sorry, I'm in the US. April 8 is what I meant, and read.
-
The 1x2x1x2 (?) (the smaller one) is in a couple of the Marvel sets coming out later this week.
-
So what's the deal with 6873? FBTB is saying we'll see it on 4/8, but I haven't seen it show up on any websites. I know earlier in the thread someone mentioned August, but I couldn't confirm that anywhere. Do we know if it's a limited edition, and where it will be available in the US?

We're apparently getting three: The filmverse (Avengers sets), some version of X-Men, and the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon verse. Unless those characters appear in major media (IE movies or TV), we probably won't see them. An Iron Patriot fig would be sick though.

When/if Ghostbusters 3 ever gets made, I hope TLG pursues it as a theme, with both classic sets and sets from the new movie, like they did with Indy/POTC. Ecto-1 would sell like hotcakes!

Sorry to dig up a dead topic, but I really like this mod, and was wondering about the stability of the chopped-up legs. Are they more loose than the unmodified one?
-
Hopefully it's soon. The Eta-2 is my favorite ship, and I'm ready to get a whole bunch of them. I really like the design of the wings on this new one.
-
I wouldn't mind seeing one more set from TOR that includes Revan as he appears in the new game (The Foundry, perhaps?) That character is simply too awesome to never get an official minifig.
-
I would identify it as Anakin rather than Darth Vader. It doesn't matter anyway, as they're the same person (from a certain point of view)

My OPINION is that PotC will be back, maybe with just one big set. We've heard a lot more rumors about the line continuing than we have of it being cancelled, and people have actually SEEN this set. It could be that it's a D2C set and that there will not be a complete wave.... -

The thing is that Star Wars is a franchise designed to sell toys, and to have releases like that. That's the whole reason why it exists. Pirates as a franchise is completely different; Disney has their hands in a lot of different franchises, all of which have their own licensing. Disney doesn't NEED to bring in the money every six months to keep their merchandising business going the way that Lucasfilm does. Lucasfilm lives on merchandising, and specifically Star Wars merchandising. That's their major revenue. Pirates, as successful as it has been, is not the make or break franchise for Disney. If we see more releases (I personally hope we do) it will be in the spring, just like it was this year. -
I had this set at such a young age that I don't even remember getting it. I think it was my first set as well, or pretty close to it. Not very many pieces, but every piece is useful. Love it.

There's still plenty of life left in this theme, and it's been my favorite theme in a long while. What I think would be prudent is smaller waves with more complicated/bigger sets. The Interceptor from P1 or the Providence from P4 would both be good mid-sized ships for TLG to produce, as well as the Hai Peng (P3 junk) or the Edinburgh Trader (P2 merchant ship); Will Turner's blacksmith shop is a set we should have. I'd like to see a playset based on Singapore too. The Dauntless or the Endeavour or the Dutchman would all be a fantastic choice for a big ship. ANYTHING from Shipwreck Cove would be totally awesome. We NEED a Keith Richards fig. There are tons of ships and characters and locations that TLG hasn't done yet, so I definitely want to see more. EDIT: I thought of one more great scene that could be done in LEGO form: the interior of Ponce de Leon's ship, the Santiago, from P4. I'd love to see TLG tackle the shifting weight in there! EDIT 2: Tia Dalma's shack. -
Literally!

Like I said like....30 pages ago or so, the guy at my LEGO Store said there'd be another wave. We may not have any leaks at this point because it's a SUMMER wave, not a January wave.
