Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Well it's £103.99 after the 20% off at the Lego Store. Quidco are offering 11% cashback for the Lego store so £11.50 off. They also have a £2.50 bonus this weekend and I can sell the Nutcracker for £20.

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Evening guys! I currently only collect the Star Wars theme but the recent sets have been poor and my head is turning towards the modular buildings since I saw Assembly Square. Part of me thinks this is a mistake since I've already missed quite a few and as a completionist this would drive me crazy. Brick Bank however is pretty cheap at SaH, with the cashback offers and the freebie it's only about £70 so probably worth starting with that. . Which do you think will be the next modular to retire? I may then focus my attention on that. Palace Cinema?

What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?

Picked up the BB8 from Toys R Us as a bit of an impulse buy. £60 minus £15 cashback and a set of minifigures that has already been flogged for £15 profit. So £30 for the BB8 seems a cracking deal. I can't decide whether I like the set though! I may well sell it on, make a bit of cash and put it towards a modular building. Not digging the Star Wars sets at the moment. TLJ wave is awful

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

Super cars are an extreme example but I agree with your point. Millions of people around the world queue at Apple stores to spend a similar amount for the latest IPhone/IPad for example. Although they would clearly use this more it will be pretty much worthless in 5 years time. Hardcore Lego fans will find the money for this. Although I can afford this and it and would love to build it I'm never going to get it approved by the wife though!

What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?

Picked up Battle on Takodana from Tesco for £28. The set doesn't look great but it's good value for the Kylo Ren and Maz Kanata minifigures. Will probably pick up the blue X Wing from SAH tomorrow too.

I would buy the one that's retiring first which is likely to be Poe's X Wing. Krennic's Shuttle will be available for a while yet, I would wait until that is available at a discount.

I'm assuming they found a way to get into them and re seal them.

I think someone bought the set, carefully removed the seals, stole the minifigures and then returned the set to store. I wouldn't buy either of those sets until they are heavily discounted.

So I contacted them and they are sending me out replacement minifigures. Cracking customer service from Lego!

I guess that would be futile since I didn't buy direct from Lego, have no receipt and the set is retired.

So I finally got around to opening my sealed 75020 (Jabba's Sail Barge) that I bought about a year ago. The box was sealed and all the bags appear sealed but there's no minifigures at all. Has anyone ever experienced this? I'm quite annoyed as obviously there's a lot of unique minifigures that are quite expensive!

Can anyone recommend a good large display frame for Star Wars minifigures?

I've also had confirmation on another forum from a Lego employee. I'm pretty confident this is happening.

Review | LEGO 75170 Star Wars ● THE PHANTOM

It's a shame there's so many stickers. At that price point they could have at least printed a few parts.

LEGO Star Wars 2017 Pictures and Rumors

The pricing on the A-wing is very naughty considering the ATST is £5 cheaper and has 100 extra pieces. The phantom is also harsh considering its clearly aimed at kids who won't remotely care about Thrawn. Are we starting to see the effect of Brexit on the GBP pricing?
