yay, I was waiting for this one to be posted and you did not disapoint, its a really nice and thought out build, its just like how my childhood imagination dreamed the actual barracuda was brilliant truely brillaint, its a shame to see the series end, are you sure you can't start work on the clipper or the orignal flagship cheers
-
are those droid legs for railings? thats a very good idea I really like the wolf figure head too, great LDD build
-
amazing you are a lucky man to have a girlfriend to help you with such a marvel

It sounds like you have some wonderful childhood memories of these sets which is a really special thing and nothing I say could or should change that, I hope you don't mind that I was a little harsh and remember its just one fools opinion nothing more I love the figures for these guys the green torso espeically is very handy for the forestmen to have a bit better armour and some of the sets are reasonably ok, (Bulls Attack has some interesting highs and depressing lows) its just not my childhood which is why I am being a bit more synical, out of interest how was the game? did it play well? Cheers for the comments though guys to great to see others opinions on my work Thats weird are you saying there not appearing? as they have been included, if more people are missing elements of my reviews please let me know, I'm not sure if its a loading problem your end or and uploading problem mine however let me know if its working perfectly too as then I will feel less of a luddite cheers again all, I have now started cracking on with King Leo and his group (a female knight ), so I should start getting something down in a week or two. cheers again all

Cheers for all the wonderful comments guys, for me the sets were bad, but I loveed the minfigs so that made up for it somewhat, theres alot of flavour in the ifgs its just a shame the sets they got where so poor. I agree that not all factions need a castle, but all factions still need decent sets and that was something missing for these guys as none of these sets are a must have Bull Attack is the best and it is a nice set but it is nowhere near as vital a collection piece as say the Fantasy Drawbridge Defence or the Woldpacks Fortress these sets I need, Bulls Attack I just want. I hope that makes sense.

Yeah these guys were difficult to write about, I like the figs and a few of the seige weapons are cool, but theres a limit and these guys started getting very dull to build still King Leo next (at least i get to talk about a castle again )

Agreed a big part of my love for LEGO is the fact that it includes lots of people, my fiance is a fan of the Winter Village sets (she wants them out on display over christmas), my Sister loves the Harry Potter and Sponge Bob sets and both my little brothers are both Star Wars crazy, so its loads of fun to go home to visit and have them all tell me what they've made or what they want and then hear my lady say about how she is excited for the Red Riding Hood in the collectors sets and such. I haven't got her to buy a set yet but it won't be long, shes also thinking of starting up a blog for 'Ladies in Love with Lego Fans'. its just a really positive experience all round, still for me you can't beat a pirate set cheers -
Yeah I got all four of them, there just very lightweight, i was excited for what they could have been but as a game they are lacking, it looks nicer than it plays
-
I got a few of them but they just aren't very good, they can't compare to a few hours playing Arkham Horror or Battlestar Galatica. luckly to games are my ladies department, a couple of weeks ago she got a game called 'The Resistance' and its brilliant everyone we played with has now got themsleves a copy too. I just focus on the Lego
-
I love the roof, it looks soo simple yet so elegant
-
Yay to the bees, what a great idea, its both historically accurate and great to establish a richer world for LEGO. The poor bee keeper doesn't have much protection though
-
ahh, I am feel especially nostalgic towards bluecoats these days after I won my second sabre Island off ebay two days ago. lovely build, its nice to see the blues with sea dominance for a change
-
ha, so funny, I like how they all have the same voice, like a polite clone army. brilliant

Welcome to Eurobricks, thats a really nice video, my lady was sitting next to me going awww everytime she saw the little one, she now is saying that 'we should have a kid so that i could share my LEGO with it' to which I replyed, 'err, yeah but wouldn't it be nicer to get our child new sets of there own rather than my old hand me downs' she gave me a 'yeah right, thats what you mean look' chuckled and went to make breakfast, on the plus side I now have a bacon sandwhich so its shaping up to be a good dayoff. Your next challenge once you get all the sets is to combine whitecap bay and london escape together to make Port Royal cheers -
Yeah I had a 2500 point Cadian, 2500 point Catachan,1000 point Steel Legion and a 1500 point Praetorian Army now all I have is the Praetorian's but I am very happy with that If I ever miss wargames I just have a crack at brickwars and its alot more fun, my fiancee has even played a couple of games Yeah I know , I forgot to say that yesterday I came home to a Kingdoms castle (The big red one) sitting on the kitchen table waiting for me, she had got it for my birthday but its been a difficult couple of months with an ill family memebr and she wanted to cheer me up as I had been a little down. Needless to say I was exstatic as I had assumed this one had passed me by (I had every other set but this one just dissapered too quickly for me to grab), its now sitting on the floor in our bedroom being assulted by a combined Black Falcon and Dragon Knight force. Now she is asking what other sets I want for my birthday (shes gotta do the shopping all over again ) I keep pointing to the LOTR sets (cough; Helms Deep, cough:) and I think she know, but if not theres always Draculas Castle from monster fights. I always want something

I have dreams about owning LEGO I don't, for example I had one dream where I was building the Grand Emporium, then I started filling it with about 100 forestmen, sadly I woke to the realy world where my collection is minus one Emporium and my forestmen army numbers only in the 20s. still a man can dream, sigh, a man can dream

This thread is soo funny, I am quite a lucky guy I think, In the first year of our releationship me and my special lady had a bit of a chat over all the stuff I like and it turned out I was 'collecting' to a fairly expensive level; LEGO, Warhammer, Board Games, Metal Britains Soldiers, replica rifles and Musical Instruments. We decided together to drop the Warhammer, Britians, Rifles and Musical Instruments (I had like 5 guitars, 2 basses, 2 banjos and many others) Keep what was special to me and sell the rest. She said she would be in charge of the Board Games cause she quite likes them and I had free reign on my LEGO. I have never hidden any purchases from her and I do ocassionally come home with a LEGO box or a minifig sitting on the table waiting for me (which she brought) she even goes through mags and online for me (she picked me up the Forestmens hideout on ebay only last week for £11.03). I don't miss any of the other stuff and I am really happy my lady supports me, now all I need to do is get her interested in a set or two for herself then we will be a lifelong Board Game and LEGO couple. Heres hopeing
