    LEGO Nexo Knights 2017 Discussion

I was kinda "Meh" with the first wave but boy oh boy do these sets blow the first ones out of the watter. The bad guys really get the love they deserve this time. I love the monsters and constructs like that sentient seige tower!

I would totally fork money for UCS 1:1 versions of all those mechs. Specially that dragon!

Looks like the Castle might be able to connect to the Fortress!

Minifigs aside, I actually like the King's Mech a lot more. This one looks like it has very short legs and thin chest. Looks more like a thin gorilla. The proportion on the KM on the other hand look great IMO.

    Which set should I buy?

Incredibly tempted with the UC Slave 1, Parisian Restaurant and the SImpsons House and Kwik-e-mart. I could get any of them right now for 150€, more or less going with used sets, but I can't get them all at once. I imagine that Slave 1 will be around for another year, same with the rest. I like the colorfulness of the Simpsons sets, even have some of the minifigs. The important bit here is that I have a seven year old who likes to build and play. He's has his creator and city sets but we both like to build together. Don't want to get him into complex builds since he is just started to create his own stuff instead of just following instructions. The Simpsons sets look like the more play friendly and not overcomplicated. The Kwik-e-mart looks the most colorful of them all but it also has a ton of tiny pieces so I don't know what to do. The house looks a bit boring in comparison bt more play friendly. Any lego experts and/or lego parents care to help?
  8. Hi there, I've come back to lego after more than twenty years absence. Loved the pirate and space explorations sets as a kid plus I had a kick with my vricks creating my own robots and spaceships. Like I imagine with a lot of people, the Lego Movie sparked a series of events that eventually have lead me here. I scratched that first itch las year with the Volkwagen 10220. The new Star Wars movie was another push but what really got me here is wanting to share a hobby with my kid. We both build 10220 and are doing it again plus he has his own legos now. Drooling over a lot of the stuff I'm seeing and hitting my head for not returning sooner. Damn modulars are sweet!! Starting to learn some of the lingo and wraping my head around memorizing so many numbers
