Superboy and Chase McCain both wore jeans (navy and black respectively) but the torso is a bit more difficult. Mutt from Indiana Jones wore a leather jacket, but it has Mutt written on it. I can't think of any other black jackets that aren't suits. -

Probably not too much longer. Toys R Us has been knocking $10 off it recently, that usually happens around the time the set is retired. It was a summer set last year so I'd imagine they'll replace it with this years' summer sets. -

It was definitely the Bridge Battle Set, but that new Spidey is so wonderful and Hawkeye is definitely the best version of him as well. So minifig wise I'd have to go with the Spider-Man Civil War set, but build wise it still has to be the Bridge Battle set, and it's definitely second for minifigs as well. -

Not that I'm aware of, DK makes the books and they made non-LEGO Marvel books before and like you mentioned a Star Wars one so there shouldn't be licensing issues. I think it's probably set volume more than anything. Up until recently there haven't been quite enough sets to "justify" a book but now there may be. Ninjago and DC both have a very large number of sets over many years to pull from where as Marvel makes about 6-10 sets a year for the last 4 or so years. Just my thoughts though, I could be wrong. -

I don't think it's fair to say that Marvel isn't interested in promoting F4 and X-Men when Deadpool gets a lot of attention, Secret Wars was largely a F4 story, there are at least 5 books in their lineup that feature X-Men and they have the Apocalypse War event going on. Obviously they're going to promote characters they make more money off MORE but they haven't just abandoned the characters like everyone seems to suggest. I imagine we will see X-Men characters in LEGO form again, but we will probably never see a them as prevalently as a lot of people would like. -

This is definitely a set where the minifigures out way the build, and they're so good that's totally fine with me! I do like that they made it a Roxxon truck, but it definitely feels like it should be shorter and a bit more solid. As for the minifigures, that Spidey looks AMAZING. I kind of wish they had just printed black lines on dual molded arms instead of blue arms with red printed on it but that's a minor thing. The Hawkeye face is a little silly, but I have the AoU one so not too bad for me personally. I do wish they'd do a slightly different face print for Cap but I understand why he's in the set. Good to see they updated Vision's stone to be correct. Overall I'm definitely excited for this! -
I'm going to give it a month or so and check bricklink.com. Should be able to get a full set at lower than eBay prices (still a mark up though). I believe a full case would run $250ish (if I remember correctly) but again you'll end up paying more from a third party. Hope this helps! GGMU

They have started to show up at Toys R Us in the US, and I spoke with a former coworker at my local TRU and she said they got a memo to disregard the release date and put them out. -

Definitely true for most sets, but the Ghostbusters HQ is a recent example that occasionally licensed sets aren't overpriced when they're large.

Forgot about those, and I 100% agree. Spidey definitely needs an upgrade. It's kind of silly that Batman and Iron Man have been updated so much and Spider-man hasn't considering they are, I believe, the 3 most used Superhero minifigs. -

Yeah, for some reason LEGO doesn't seem to like having more than one minifig per set with dual-molded legs, the only exception I'm aware of being the '66 Batcave. -

Agreed. I'm definitely just getting the minifigs for the Killer Croc set and I'm still undecided between the set or just the minifigs for the Scarecrow set, but this is a day one buy for me.
