That's a really great vignette style creation! Some trans red pieces with a direct spot under it would also add a lot to this, but is much trickier.

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
RetroInferno replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
It's quite possible, most of these concepts seems placeholders for the most part and taken right off the 3D renders. I really wish the nose part could be more accurate to the movie's version. Still, we are getting freacking Max Von Sydow in lego form, how awesome is that? -

Most of these sets cover are quite placeholders; as for the dark tan officers, Rebels feature officers with a grey-ish beige depending of the lighting: personally I quite like it but some diversity never hurts. -
The UCS Hype. What will 2017 bring? (40th Anniversary)
RetroInferno replied to Major_Ton's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Agreed, pretty iconic too as a starwars ship and worthy of a remake, especially if they give it an interior treatment. -

Yeah the frontal underside seems pretty lacking. I will definitly skip this one but only because it barely has any screen time and the overall design of the vehicle is just meh. -

I'm pretty sure the other 2 figures are an imperial tan officer with a regular A-Wing pilot. And is that me or Gree actually in the Turbo Tank? And that guy included in the red and black ship awefully looks like dengar -

A simple Jakku Villager or Resistance fighter would be pretty lame, I would be honestly surprised if this set doesn't come with San Tekka. -

That would be in March for North America: No news from any of them ( except TFA sets) in Canada either. -

I'm quite curious on how Lego will render Max Von Sydow in Lego form Overall I'm more pleased with this set with the mini-figs selection than the previous Poe's X-wing, Lor San Tekka, BB-8, Resistance Poe ( I guess ) and a Flametrooper is a nice selection IMO. It's too early to judge the build at this point, I just hope it's not a simple color swap. -
Shadows of the Empire - Great potential?
RetroInferno replied to RetroInferno's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah but I think this was before all of the EU was declared non-canon. I would be really happy ( and really surprised ) if they decided to create a couple of the sets found in either the game or book though. -
I think so too, with 75060 following closely behind. Price isn't too bad either if you get it on the after market, except if you happen to get paid in Canadian Pesos. ( Thanks Saudi Arabia.)

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

From the look of it it's a shame Lego did not redesign the front section of the ship for it to be more angled: It still looks good but end up looking pretty much like the OT model: not very accurate. I aso went and search for the set's number ( 75149-1) on brcikset and it is priced at 100$. So the piece count here is highly subject to change. -

This set would be really hard to pull off, but would most likely look like this: You'd have to include a corridor or 2, at least a gate as a play feature, a new model for the Rathtar and several mini-figs. Way I see it this is at least a 80-90 $ minimum f they want to capture that scene properly. -

They are probably keeping them for a Rathtars playset inside Han's cargo ship ( forgot the name ) -
Shadows of the Empire - Great potential?
RetroInferno replied to RetroInferno's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah the ship is still canon, it was added in a New Hope in Mos Eisley and can be seen departing. Sadly the rest of the EU went to the garbage bin and the only way for it to partially get back to life is to appear in new media, ex: Rebels and Rogue One. And yeah, a mini-fig scale outrider lego model would be awesome! -
For the last 3 months I bought: - 2014 Star Destroyer - AT-DP - Tie Advanced Prototype - 2013 Clone Gunship (LAAT) - 2 Imperial Troop Transports - 2015 Milenium Falcon - Rey's Speeder - 2015 UCS Slave 1 - Micro LAAT - Clone Troopers vs Droidekas - 2014 Mos Eisley Cantina - 2015 T-16 Skyhopper - 2014 B-Wing Coming out of the dark age sure gets expensive , hopefully nothing appeals for this summer wave ( Shit, I forgot about the Tie Advanced vs A-Wing set, and there are still 3 mystery sets...) Have mercy on my wallet Lego ( If a UCS Bespin is released I'm royally screwed )

The UCS Hype. What will 2017 bring? (40th Anniversary)
RetroInferno replied to Major_Ton's topic in LEGO Star Wars
A new falcon would be very unlikely if you want my opinion, even for the 40th anniversary( one was just released in 2015 ), Cloud City would be surprinsingly likely and would fit with the more recent Slave 1. An UCS set for TFA would probably end up being the Finalizer but not the Starkiller Base ( already a planned OT Death Star rumored ). Maybe a UCS Mos Eisley? -
REVIEW 75135 Obi Wan's Jedi Interceptor
RetroInferno replied to Vectormatic's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Jesus Christ... that set's value is almost as bad as the 2015 Infiltrator. As itself it's already average but at that price point it's quite poor. -

Another Bespin set would be nice considering the facts that no OT sets have been revealed for the summer wave ( minus the 3 mystery ones ). -
I would also gladly order a couple of those if they were not so damn expensive: I have a great total of 3 because of the 75060 and 75055.

What's the carbon freezing chamber like?
RetroInferno replied to SocialRefund's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Very nice MOC you have there! Seeing this little set by itself just makes me sad about the potential Bespin has and I still stand by what I said earlier about it being flawed, but being the only set based on Bespin since 2003... My UCS Slave 1 is still on the way though and maybe I could cough up a few $$$ once it hit the shelves in march ( NA here ) just for the sake of it. -
Are those stormies the modified ones from the Battlefront BP?

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
RetroInferno replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Lego has an history of releasing 2 waves minimum of Star Wars sets per year; usually in January and June. (Summer and Winter). UCS and the like are mostly released in the summer wave. On a side note, I'm curious about the new UCS models and "Death star" the most. -
Let's talk about it Hahaha, I just ordered the UCS Slave 1; I might just get the freezing chamber for the sake of it (first bespin based set since I'm too afraid to remember) and the Droid escape for my Tattoine diorama. ( relativly cheap way of getting the mini-figs included ).

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
RetroInferno replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah, Inquisitors are probably not included there. Still, probably the most mysterious set announced so far, build and mini-figs wise. I just wish the inquisitors are not randomly included in Rex's AT-TE ( I hate this vehicle ).
