This picture made my day Could this set be the contender for worst UCS? Maybe not design wise but the value here is abyssimally poor.

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

Jesus Christ that's insane! Set it at 100$ plus 15% taxes :O I'm probably still getting that Tie Advanced + A-Wing though. But god Tarkin was botched, tan + dark grey for the hair? Well, I hope it's not Tarkin... -

Nah, that's definitly Tarkin; that grey headpiece doesn't lie. A shame though that his uniform is tan. But that's definitly the greatest set showcased there, that Tie Advanced is really nice. The calendar is pretty beast too, It might really be worth getting. And am I the only one pretty pissed off that the fifth brother is included in that AT-TE? Another example of lego putting a must own figure in a set nobody wants :( -

Looks like I'm going to have to bricklink that Inquisitor from Rex's AT-TE. Otherwise Encounter on Jakku looks very promising, as well as the new X-wing... Clone Turbo Tank seems fine for those who like the PT, my only wish is that vehicle would have get more screen time in Clone Wars. Both the Eclipse Fighter and Star Scavenger could be interesting if they are based on the old EU designs. Oh well, well see how things goes when we'll se cleaner shots and more info. -
Oh god, this looks so great!

Pretty sure he's gonna be grey, or riots Man oh man I can't wait to see that Tie vs A-Wing, very reminescent of 7150, such a classic :D -

No way in hell we are getting Vader's Tie + A-wing for 29,99. This set will be minimum 80 bucks. -
Slave1 is my first UCS; let's say it sets my expectations pretty high now for other UCS sets Overall the only downsides are the mini-figs ( sure you get an awesome Boba fett and Bespin Guard ) Carbonite Han and an OT stormie, while nice, doesn't really cut it for me.

I mostly agree with this review. except that the price for value for me is very, very low. And I also believe these bags are restricted to certain areas, I've never seen them either.
-
Honestly I wouldnt be surprised if that set was re-released. The version we have doesn't do justice to the vehicle at all. Tie Crawler? Jesus that model looks so bad I did not imagine someone was a fan of it
-
A nice little set and a cheap way to get Boba Fett; However, the appeal greatly diminishes when you already own a UCS Slave 1 :(

Some Death Star based scenes from A New Hope would be nice; like Leia's Escape split in 2 sets: - First set based on Luke getting Leia out of her cell: Would include Leia, Stormtrooper Luke, Interogation Droid and an Impeial Navy Trooper. - Second set would be based on the control room where Han blows off the cameras and fight off the Stormtroopers: Would include Chewbaca, Stromtrooper Han, x2 Stromtrooper and an Officer.

REVIEW 75135 Obi Wan's Jedi Interceptor
RetroInferno replied to Vectormatic's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Honestly except for a few bad apples prices are generally pretty fair, especially considering how pricey Lego was in the 90's. I just think it's the TFA lego wave pricing that's been off the charts. -

One heck of a good trailer with awesome potential. I especially want those Inquisitors as mini-figs and it's about time we need an imperial troop transport onf a reasonable scale. And how the hell is Maul back? -

Yeah it's a shame. Still might pick it because it's the only Cloud City set we've had in 12 years. Maybe they'll grace us with something to go with it this summer? -

Kind of a mix between the Moldy Crow and the LAAT, I really like it :) -
Motorized HAVx A7 Juggernaut (Clone Turbo Tank)

Yeah, just too bad it barely has any screen time in both Episode 3 and Clone Wars ( beats the B-Wing though ) -

Wow, the 7261 looks mighty crappy next to this. Awesome job!!! Did I miss the numbers of bricks needed for this? This looks around at least 2500 to me. I'm really curious how lego will pull the next one in 2016... -

I don't envy the designer of this set at all: making yet another spider droid appealing to the crowd, with the disaster that the last one was. Overall they did a better job than the last one as for the model itself: the thing is stable and some of the design issues have been fixed. However, the accuracy of the set is left to be desired: The spider droid has never been seen on Kashyyk! Second, the mini-figs are meh: the 41st elite corps trooper while nice is still available in a battlepack. The two battledroids are, well, battledroids, they do their jobs the best they can. and finally Yoda, which last apearance was in the Geonosis Duel which I can't recommend. Overall I feel that this set's main purpose was to sell Yoda ( an sought out after mini-fig ) in a not really appealing set. -
Imperial black officers are stomtrooper officers without the combat gear; A really nice set Lego never did was the opening fight on the Tantive IV, separated in 2 sets; one for the Imperial and one for the Rebels: Let's say 4 mini-figs for each set ( Vader, 2 stormies and a stormtrooper officer ( black uniform ) and featuring a balst door, and for the Rebels Leia, Antilles and 2 rebel soldiers with an attachable hallway. It would sell like hot cakes.

60$ for this set?? Wow, sounds like a majectic bargain. ( even though it's gonna be priced 80$ in CAN) -

UCS sets ( and any popular lego sets ) will rarely go in any special sales. Ewok village has been out for quite a while now and has been quite popular ,and I don't doubt the Sandcrawler will dissapear so soon, The best thing you could do is buy a used set cheaper than the current retail one or wait for a double VIP event on the online store: you could save up maybe 30$. -

The Takodana set is a pure joke for me, get it if you are a mini-fig enthusiast or collector but no way in hell I'll buy that for 75$ CAN. -

Remember the 2013 AT-TE that came with only one Clone Commander? From the looks of it we are getting a clone commander plus a kashyyk scout trooper, which to be fair isn't too bad considering the CTT doesn't has too much open spots to be manned (unlike the Clone Gunship which has 6 and came with a pilot and a captain, ugh ) and there is a battle pack available for it. And yeah, sabine really needs a major overhaul ( Tan skin, does not look like a soccer mom, accurate color scheme ) and she also needs her helmet too.
