Is the Death star OT based or simply based on Rogue One/ Star Killer? A blue atromech? I'm in quite the pickle...

That and they are Lego ambassadors, they often get to review sets earlier than say Jangbricks, who has to pay and wait for the sets. So far the x-wing isnt so bad; just a re-skin that many people asked for but that encounter on jakku set seems pretty small for what you have to pay for. Sadly it's a wave I'll skip as none of the stuff offered interests me and financially, well ; Brace yourself death star and rogue one wave coming, my wallet is already planning life support options...

I hope so, and I'm glad if the show ends after season 3. I gave the show a shot and except for very few excellent episodes, I just cannot care about most of the character roster and all the filler around it. Oh well, at least it bringed us a couple interesting lego sets hahahaha. I'm also very curious how that combat frigate is going to be handled. Was the set specifically referred as a rebel combat frigate? Because the Imperial ones could also make sense...

Kanan speeder bike is the "cheapest" way to amass them currently, comes with 7 of them. But yeah, they should definitly include both gun models in Battlepacks, it's frustrating. Although one thing that makes stud shooters more visually appealing is to add those black stocks to the butt of the gun like in the Imperial BP. Let's see how Lego handles this in the future...especially for Rogue One which I think will be more AFOL oriented in it's design.

Hopefully it won't be released 3 months for NA like the last winter wave. In my case I'm simply saving up for Rogue One, as the set selection looks really damn promising, much more so than TFA which was all over the place.

What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?

Price reduction was different for every zone: Europe had everything 10% off while NA had double VIP and bigger reduction on select sets. My package should arrive tomorrow, I'm gonna give you some feedback on the packaging Dubois.

Paper thin capes? I don't think they are any different than the other ones in the SW line but I could be wrong. Just ordered that set during the promo. On the other hand, was the rumored set list mentionned by BrickVault for Rogue One viable? He mentionned a Tie, X-Wing, At-St, unamed drop-ship and an imperial landspeeder? Seems rather unlikely that 3 x-wing models would be on sale at the same time...

Do you guys think SW may ever make the switch to super hero type of cloth for capes? I understand the need of one for this set ( as she woulnt fit in that tiny cockpit ).

What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?

You guys are insane hahahaha. I expect you are watting for a Death Star sized set to spend it on? I only have about 700...

What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?

Yeah it is, assuming you are talking about the NA market, resellers probably spent a lot of $$$ on reduced sets.

Post your general LEGO Star Wars questions here

Nope, I don't think they released their may calendar as of yet, but consider looking at the lego online store, they have some decent promotions for canada.

Hey, at least it's free haha. But yeah, extremly lazy...

What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?

Problem is the promotion was good but not everywhere: Canada and the US received double VIP and some major reduction on some sets, while europe only got 10% off but on a wider product range. It must have been really busy in NA because a lot of the reduced items were sold out only a few hours yesterday after midnight.

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

Canada also had a couple of good deals, ex: Tydirium shuttle 25$ off being one of them plus double VIP points too, overall better deals on select items instead of the global 10% off the merchandise ive seen in most european zones. I just wish Final Duel would have been cheaper for the occasion but maybe i'm asking for too much haha.

What's your recent LEGO Star Wars Purchase?

Bought a couple things from the online store for the may 4th promo: Tydirium shuttle ( 25 $ off), Final Duel, Kanan speeder bike (5$ off) and the shadow trooper battle pack at regular pricing. I have to say this year's promotions were really nice, at least in canada ( sweet sweet double VIP points ). Too bad about the exclusive mini-fig and the Hoth UCS, those have been Lacking. I also learned it wasnt a bad idea to camp lego's website at midnight because the shuttle was sold out within 2 hours...

Ahhh 7127... Thank god Lego has standards now ( although this set was dirt cheap back then ).

I sure as heck hope it's not a Hoth Leia to go with the ''Set who's name must no be said out loud''

    75098 Assault on Hoth

I don't own any of the older hoth sets either (except for 4483 ), and yes, aquiring the older sets via bricklink is more expensive now, but still, what we get it here is not bad; it's just un-inspired design wise and has a questionnable UCS tag on it. But IMo it's just the tip of the iceberg. Ultimatly most of the criticism I heard ( and which is well deserved ) is going towards that price tag. The ratio of 10 cents per parts is not always an accurate way of determining if a set is worth it but myself and a lot of people are just looking at what's offered here and plainly wondering how 250 USD can be justified in that case. I would consider getting it for 200-ish CAN but never for 300$ before taxes.

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

I have really high expectations towards Rogue One to be the subject of great Lego models, especially with the rumors of known bounty hunters coming back. And interestingly enough Rogue One seems more aimed towards a mature audience with it's gritty war movie vibes. Even if it's only 5 models, they can only be more interesting than the ''meh'' summer wave that was revealed. ( Props for an updated Dengar being in a cheap set, gonna wait to see if the Fifth Brother gets included in an interesting set instead of being the main selling point of a 120$ US set ) Best case scenario for me for Rogue One would be: - AT-ST: Highly rumored to be present, throw-in some sweet and new heavy ordnance on the sides, 4-5 mini-figs. - Updated Tie Fighter: Last OT Tie Fighter was released 4 years ago and was an excellent model, but could use a revamp. - X-Wing: I can't see lego releasing a third X-Wing in such a short time but heck, I've been surprised in the past. - A new nig and badass vehicle design for the empire: Be it either a walker, new capital ship or hover doomsday machine. - Some sort of BP featuring rebels as well as some Imperials.

    75098 Assault on Hoth

The fact that the 2014 AT-AT and Snowspeeder are retired is questionnable considering some people skipped those knowing a Hoth based UCS was coming. The irony... They should rename this set ''Assault on the Beaten Dead Horse''.

    Favorite sets you own?

Wow, Slave 1 is definitly in people's heart In the 200$ plus range I would also say the Slave 1 is my favorite like a lot of people mentionned already. Both the TFA Falcon and the 2014 Star Destroyer are next in the 100-200$ price range, although I feel the falcon is a bit better mini-figs and interior wise. 50$-100$:The Rebels AT-DP is a very, very nice vehicle and has a really nice OT Imperial style to it. I highly recommend picking it up. 50$ and below: Imperial Troop Transport: Even though the Rebels stormies are not loved by everyone ( I used to hate the thing ), the real deal is quite nice to get ( 4 of the same figure in a battle-pack is quite awesome ) and you can quickly build an army or patrols this way.

    75098 Assault on Hoth

That's part of the problem yes, but ultimatly it's about what you get overall. The price is both set at 250$, piece count is higher on Hoth by around 180 pieces, similar amount of mini-figs. However, it gets down to what you actually get in size, and Assault on Hoth is not nearly as impressive as the technically very similar Ewok Village. I really want to like this set but when lookign at the price I can't see the value we get here. Maybe it's worth it if you are sitting on a nice amount of VIP points and get it during a double VIP event.

    75098 Assault on Hoth

Lets do a quick review of this set: Mini-figs: Nothing to not like that is included here, the main problem is what is missing; where in hell is leia? Props for the droids and Toryin but there is a serious gap present with no Leia included here. The set is also named assault on hoth, namely only 2 storm troopers? Overall a good amount of figures, but the fact that Leia is missing and the lack of a beleivable Imperial force attacking really blows. Vehicles: Regular snowspeeder, a service utility transport: while at it we could have seen another snowspeeder included here if not for an At-St as there is again something missing here. Very dissapoiting. Echo base itself: A very nice blast door, shield generator and what appears to be a ion cannon but looks nothing like it. Basically no interior for the base itself except for the tauntaun pen and really small command center who's worth combined doesnt exceed 30$. The wampa cave included doesnt contribute much to the cohesion of this set and I feel should have beeb scrapped. The trench included is honestly what the attack on hoth set should have been for 10$ more. Overall this set is a big mystery, what in hell the designers thinking? How can you price something like this 250$? Will this set ever sell more than 30 copies?

    75098 Assault on Hoth

I think it was a good idea to kind of mash up all those sets people skipped or missed in one coherent design ( old mini-figs aged poorly when mixed with the new designs ) but on the other side it doesn't really offers anything special to those who already own most of the old sets. Ultimatly the price is what damages it most, unless you are sitting on some 50-60$ worth of VIP points.

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

Fifth Brother and Dengar are definitly on my Bricklink list: both new Lego Starwars adventure ships are looking mighty bad. Assault on Hoth could be very interesting for people who skipped on previous Hoth sets, if it was not from the fact that this retails at 250 freacking US bucks. This definitly looks like a 180$-200$ set. Vader's Tie and A-Wing are really nice looking, but it's a shame that they still did not get right Sabine's tan skin. Overall I'm a bit dissapointed
