LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
RetroInferno replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Very pleased by those models: mini figs details are amazing and several old updated mini figs, most notably the death star trooper? ( don't they have a death star gunner helmet though?) Tie pilots looks very detailed, and that tie striker.... :O A shame about the At-St pilot, while the printed goggles on the helmet are nice they lack black gloves. Going to have to wait to see the full box arts for each sets but they definitly have to include more than a single Death trooper on that Imperial landing craft... -
I looked back at my Han Solo`s collection and I still wonder why 15 years later they still use that generic brown hair piece for the guy. Only the TFA version had proper hair going for it: they only have to swap the color :( And yeah, ideally a new mold for dengar would be nice; but the odds of Lego doing that is razor thin; he's not all that bad looking either. Thinking about it a bounty hunter character pack would sell insanely well, almost Fun in the Park insanely well.

Any OT Imperial battlepack would be nice, Imperial navy troopers and stormies for a death star themed one, sandtroopers for a Tatooine one... Basically anything than having to pay 10$ for a single stormtrooper on bricklink.

Bricklinked the a-wing pilot from 2013, Ree-Yees and two Bith musicians. Wish I came out of the dark age in 2013 D:

That is a new set, it was released for this summer; no stress for availability. -

I would not go for either of Poe's X wings: either go for Mike Psiaki' X-wing or wait for lego to make a proper OT one. -

The AT-AT was 129,99 CAN, Star Destroyer and Gunship were both 149,99 CAN. All of these are better deals than that Turbo Tank though. I'm also giving my blood to amazing bricks if he elaborates on that proper stormtrooper battle pack rumor of his -

Went on the eshop to check on CAN prices and it's worse than I thought: Vader' Tie vs A-Wing is at 120$! And concerning the lack of any Stormtroopers in the Rogue One sets...definitly smells like a Battle Pack will tag along for the winter wave... And Just2Good, did you see any other mini fig than a Deathstar trooper with the TieStriker? If yes, which one? Thanks :) -
Yeah, the build included in that BP is god awefull. Classic stormies are way too hard to get now, hopefully a rogue based battlepack will come out and solve that issue. Anyhow, just picked Kanan Speeder bike, it's an okay-ish set, nothing bad in it. On a side note I also brick linked some ghost buster stuff, the lack of starwars sets I like pushed me on other horizons

Ghostbusters (Reboot) 2016 sets rumors and discussion
RetroInferno replied to just2good's topic in LEGO Licensed
Yeah, the model looks really great, and those mini figs are also perfectly detailed. I really consider buying the 2016 Ecto 1 even though the movie ends up being garbage. On a side note, could the 1984 movie have any more sets in the future? Considering the 2014 ecto 1 is one of the move beloved lego sets expanding the theme of the original two movies doesnt seem like a bad idea... -
Wait for a decent OT stormies Battlepack, OT Stormies on the after market are ridiculously expensive to amass ( only Chupacabra is insane enough to do it )

Looks like I'm already 2 sets down for the rogue one wave. Only the Death Trooper's legs seems a bit akward and they overdid the green just a bit on the bottom of the helmet but K-250 is reaaally nice. -

Not really worth the upgrade in my opinion, this one is not very much detailed compared to the last one, it's a bit smalller, there is barely an interior. Mini fig wise it's better, although they could have added an additionnal trooper in there. To me it's a meh like the rest of the summer wave ( except for that rebel frigate ). -

Yeah it does seems very lack-luster, although both the AT-TE and CTT featured not enough troops to carry. The complete lack of an interior for troop carying purposes is very bad. The exterior seems fine but that's about it, and it looks quite small too. -
The UCS Hype. What will 2017 bring? (40th Anniversary)
RetroInferno replied to Major_Ton's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Blockade runner, ISD or the Falcon are safe bets. Death Star is already coming in 2016 ( so are we told ). A new falcon would definitly be cool ( maybe of a sizing between the last UCS and the latest TFA Falcon for a decent interior ). -
2 classic stormies, 1 updated imperial navy trooper with guard chin and a storm trooper officer would be the awesome. I don't know if the death trooper is gonna be included in BP's, Lego will probably sell them in quite expensive sets. ( Like that big Imperial dropship that explodes in the trailer ). In any case I'll be broke by the end of this year with all of these upcoming sets ( hoping they are really good ).

It was leaked that an R3 M3 astromech would be featured, so yeah, it would be OT based. -

Yeah the model looks quite awefull really, not sure how well it would transition into lego form. I've also never been this hyped for Stormtroopers: Pauldrons, energy packs, Death Troopers: A battlepack would definitly be welcomed -
The Rogue One theme coming is gonna blow every other box art out of the barrel, but I quite like the reaching Vader from 2014, that box art was nice.

Wedge and Wes are basically identical, only their helmets are worth getting IMO. Go for it if you're into hardcore mini figs collection otherwise nope. -

Well most of the criticisim is mostly constructive nit picking: of all the summer wave set this one is probably my favorite. -

Vader's tie vs A-wing is 700 pcs and both retails for the same price, so it's not that bad hahaha. -

Wow, I didn't expected that. Usually the beef I had with some of the recent starwars sets were with the builds and not the actual mini-figs but here... The ship is really good looking, the color scheme is off compared to the source material but is much nicer nontheless. I don't have any problems withthe mini figs included, but my god Zeb needed to be included there, or at least Hera ( although to be fair she is available with the ghost micro fighter). I don't know how to feel about the rebels linemini figs line-up, it's Frustrating. Just looking at vader's tie vs a-wing, sabine should have been swapped for kallus and why they don't include her helmet is frustrating. This set would have been a must buy with sabine and zeb influded. -
