LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors
RetroInferno replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
They surely keep some of the spoilers set for winter: there as to be a couple WTH characters they may bring back and want to keep from being leaked, aka what happened to this fall's wave. -

Euro prices are already listed on pricevortex.com. But yeah, they definitly seem "cheap". -

Yep, was pretty surprised and pissed about it. It's not like iconic vehicles based on cult movies were never a succes ( The Ecto 1 being one of the most succesfull sets sold ). Yellow submarine will reach most of the babyboomers ( If they would ever be aware of this set )... Pretty happy about the Apollo 11 being chosen even if I have no interest in it... Jesus that was dumb... -

Anyone has any data on the CAN prices on the rogue one sets? All I could find is the euro prices across europe and US: I can usually approximate using the pricing in france but the margin here is about 100 bucks... Thanks! -

Anyone knows what's up with the listed A-wing on Brickset? Can't be rogue one themed, as all of the sets have been announced... -

The red stripes you see on the FO pilots simply mean that they are special forces Tie pilots. There is even a mistake in the movie editing where the last tie fighter ( special forces ) pilot is shown wearing regular black armor. So yeah, lego should have included red stripes on these guys. -

They could have added tubes, yes, but considering the helmet has the same print that the one included in the UCS set is pretty, pretty neat. -

Really seems inspired by this weapon: the M363 Remote Projectile Detonator. -

Well, sometimes there is that set you want to get only for the mini-figs ( Mostly because the set is meh, wink wink Takodana ). Thing is with Lego is that they are more consistent with mini fig quality than with their models ( wich is harder to pull off ). Except Aldar Beedo. Don't forget Aldar Beedo. Because he remembers. -

Thing is with Krennic's hair is that it appears to be the wrong color; it shows him having blonde hair instead of grayish blonde. Analyzed the upcoming tank and you can definitly fit at least one of the tank driver in it, and there is a top hatch for him to pop up. Sadly the second hatch on the tank doesn't appear to open though, given it's relative small size. -
Review REVIEW: 75098 Assault on Hoth
RetroInferno replied to Bob De Quatre's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I'm always a bit surprised by people saying this set has some redeeming qualities in it's mini figs: Sure, getting a lot of standard troopers ( rebels ) is nice, but main cast wise it is soo poor! No Chewie, Leia, R2, 3PO, Han doesn't get a hoodie, Rieekan.... Any way, shape or form of this set makes me angry... -

I would go with the First order Tie as it was heavily featured in the movie and has a great quality build. Resistance transport as itself is nice, but I'm not too keen on the design and you see the vehicle for a few seconds only. Takodana.... Marvelous mini figs, horrendous build. Did not buy any of these sets, but go with the Tie if you see it on clearance. -
"Battle damaged" Stormtrooper transformation
RetroInferno replied to La Chupacabra's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I think the stormtroopers you are referencing are the troopers seen on Tatooine? Except those Stormies are pretty shiny. -

Extremly popular indeed, it´s been what, 10 years since the last one? Mini-fig wise not the best set but hopefully the source material will make it honor, I mean not getting beaten up by teddy bears...Also, did anyone noticed the 2 silver stripes on that Tie pilot helmet? Looks awefully similar to the UCS tie fighter pilot. -
Torn on weither or not I should buy Jabba off bricklink, that guy alone is worth more than a small set itself. Meanwhile there is no one to tail slap poor Bib Fortuna :( Also seriously considering getting all of the Rogue One sets D:

It seems to be an entirely new mold for a cap: with hair and googles integrated: looks much better than the tall caps for the rebels in the battlepack with their over sized googles. The whole new Mini figs wave have oustanding new molds, especially the rebel helmets which all seem unique for each sets. Damn, I can't wait to get the sets in my hands! -
25%! Jesus Christ.... Agreed on Encounter on Jakku and the latest swarm of X-Wings, I really don't dig them. I'll have to wait and see clearer shots of the new rogue sets to get a better opinion on them: but for those that dislikes them, just wait for the new death star, can't be worse than Assault on Hoth.
-
General question, what are you guys from europe paying as taxes on such products (Lego)? It's 15% in Canada
-
We've had a decent Star Destroyer in 2014, but honestly I wished it was bigger. I'm quite happy however with what Rogue One will bring us this fall: especially curious about that black shuttle with Krennic as the color and resolution didn't allow much detail to be seen. I just wish they could have released a battlepack for both factions with the rest, but oh well, they'll have to wait for winter.

Dang you really wanted that Tie Advanced and A-Wing to bust 110 euros on it hahahaha. Am I the only one having zero interest to buy any of the sets of this summer wave?

RetroInferno replied to Brickdoctor's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah, the shuttle is definitly very interesting: the leaked photo`s resolution with the black color doesn't allow a lot of details to be seen, mostly the general shape. It has similarities with the Emperor's shuttle from Episode 3 though. CAN price wise we can probably have a good idea based on previous sets: the Tie Striker will end up being 90$ ( same as Special Forces Tie ) and the Shuttle around 130-140$. Not sure about that tank though, the pieces choice on some places looks meh. -
Yeah I bought 2 of them, thing is it's not a BP you can amass like crazy: the Stormtroopers included are heavily damaged and yes, while they do look cool, they are kind of a small specialised group that don't really look good en masse. Same thing for the shock trooper. But yeah, seeing the leaks from Rogue One a BP with regular stormies is more than likely.

I may be wrong but that Tie Striker cockpit looks extremly long, maybe not Tie bomber long but still. Those death star gunner-ish dudes are also intriguing...
