What would you like for the next Castle line?
RetroInferno replied to Robert8's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Castle quality varied wildly, the 2013 line was crap by most accounts; extremly generic and dare I say boring color palette? (Red and Blue is a bore). Kingdoms however may not have featured an elaborate ''castle'', in fact I think that 7946 is too generic, but sets like Mill Village Raid, Kingdom Joust and I'm going to shove Medieval Market Village in this is what I personally want to see Lego get back to; scenery adds a lot to a theme's personality. A gothic medieval town theme would be great to that effect. Lego never dabbled much in that building style and knights with Teutonic gear cutting down the remnants of the Wolfpack would please a lot of people -

If they are giving out Yularen now it's because they are out of stock in your region. -

Interior for 75190 is leagues better, I prefer the exterior of 75055 though. 75055 also has a better source material IMO. Mini-figs wise both are on the same level, although 75190 has Snoke in it so I give it an edge. I'd go for 75055, since $$ isn't an issue. -
Killing Thrawn in Rebels would be an abbysmal decision, especially financially. Disney knows how much that character draws attention, and killing him in Rebels, a series that had a very limited success, that would be idiotic. Who knows what Thrawn was doing else during the galactic civil war now that the old EU is dead, both the galaxy and the Empire were very vast.

What was Patrick Stewart thinking into accepting to voice a literal animated piece of shit is the only impression I got from this thing.

I hate to say it but it's an under budgeted kids show. The thing with Star Wars is that it's supposed to please adults as much as kids; they tried pleasing the adults with references such as Thrawn and the likes but it's written for kids ; protagonists are never in danger, antagonists are incompetent idiots, most of the main cast are unlikable ( Ezra could die in a corner for all I care, Zeb is an idiot, Sabine is too good at anything and Chopper is an megablocks ). The only 3 characters that feel human are Kallus, Hera and Kanan. They even managed to screw up Grand Admiral ''Let them Escape'' Thrawn for the entirerity of season 3; I kept waiting all season long for them to use him properly, only to end the finale having the cast saved by an angry space magic creature, Thrawn giving command of vital assets to incompetent fools and the main cast destroying a freacking interdictor class cruiser with thermal grenades FROM THE EXTERIOR HULL. That's coming from someone that loves Clone Wars, that show was brilliant although rougher in some early season parts. I'll watch season 4 to hopefully witness Ezra's agonising demise.

I didn't wanted to start a topic on the subject so I'm going to throw this here, What are you guys buying for Force Friday II? Is it gonna depend on what's on sale? I really want to grab the Stormtrooper commander or Scout trooper constraction figures if they are on sale, The Last Jedi sets leave me cold other wise, plus I really want the Scarif Stormtrooper promo, I'm not paying 10$ for it on bricklink for it -

I can already hear the pissed off wives when AFOLS with giants grins on their faces come home with this beast. But Jesus that set looks awesome, -
SW: TLJ set reviews taken down from YouTube
RetroInferno replied to Arigomi's topic in LEGO Star Wars
So wait, he had to take down his videos, until september 1, the date of the embargo? Dickish move from their legal departement if this is legit, go after the retailers that didn't respect it. All of this seems like a whole lot of time wasted, throwing threats like this a few days from the embargo, while other youtubers like Just2Good published their reviews a lot earlier and didn't get crap for it. -

North America only gets 2X VIP + scariff polybag from the eshop, other areas appear to have 3X VIP, scarif stormtrooper polybag + heavy walker polybag. No news on deals on retiring sets, looks like we'll have to start a camp fire by midnight and hope their crappy online shop doesn't crash. -
Ermm, a whole movie based on Boba Fett? Boba Fett works because we don't know much about him and he looks bad megablocks even when doing nothing, I really like the character but for a movie only about him would be terrible IMO. Put him in a fight scene in one of your movie disney, but please not a whole movie. Poor Star Wars is getting milked so bad, and I can't wait how freacking weird that Han Solo movie is gonna end up.

Am I the only one really craving for a simple OT TIE Fighter, Interceptor and Bomber? No matter how bad the Han Solo flick is gonna end up they could include one of those in their new wave,at least it's near the OT era.

Lego can't really seem to pin down the Tusken Gaffi stick design, they come up with a new design everytime they release a new set with it hahaha. I'm really happy for Yoda's hut, can't really complain about the size though, the thing is really small in universe. -
I don't think they would have switched him so fast and blame the poor US sales for the sole reason; this sales problem as been up for a good while despite massive investement. They must have been disatisfied with the way he handled things internally or he personally wanted to move to the ''PR'' wing of the company.

Wishfull thinking, everyone and their mother knows it's the MF.

UCS Cloud city is to AFOLs what Half Life 3 is to fan of the series.

I think we may end getting Ponda Baba with the star wars mini-fig polybag on stands series Lego is currently doing. So far it's all based on Rogue One, (R3-M2, Scarif Storm Trooper squad leader).

That seems to be a common theme with this wave; mini-figs are really not the highlight, except for that resistance bomber, I think the mini-figs are great in this one. The builds all looks good, except that color scheme on the resistance bomber ( I really hate the blue and light bley with the red accents combo on this, same for the last x-wing for that matter ). -

I have a question for the good folks of North America; did any of you guys got a hold of the R3-M2 polypag outside of Lego Land for the United States and Toys r Us ( it was apparantly a thing) in Canada? I know it was really easy to get in Europe, hence I had to buy it from an european shop on Bricklink ( thankfully for not that much ), I'm just a bit pissed that's gonna be the way to go for North America to complete this collection. -

Another jump in prices for BPs is really not good news: they also started doing the same stuff with Lego City by reducing the number of figs included in their starter packs. The only good thing that could come of it is if they start doing more variety stuff like the god sent Bounty Hunter BP. -

It's a cheap way to get them but you can already get them cheap via bricklink. It's just superfluous. I'm going on a wild guess and say maybe some of the ''confirmed'' figs are LDD place holders for something else. -

Let's see how the movie holds up first before buying these, but the scout walker looks interesting! It really sucks we don't get Luke though... Kylo Ren's TIE is also very nice looking, and probably has the strongest mini-fig line up IMO.
