LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 3 discussion
Dazmundo replied to Klaus-Dieter's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Popped into my local WHSmiths this evening and found 2 boxes of Series 3, one on the cash desk and one behind, the one on the desk looked almost full and the one behind looked untouched. I had my list so started having an explore, got talking to the assisstant and she joined in too, infact she was better at dot spotting than me! got 5 more so I now have 11/16 with no doubles! Has anyone else found that there is an extra dot on the Gorilla polybag, similar position to the middle dot on the Elf bag, did confuse me for a while but I didn't have either figure so wasn't too much of a risk D -

Which branch or Argos is this??? D -
Thanks that is great, I did do a search on Bricklink but I've only just started to look on their so I hadn't seen that there is an actual sticker section. D

I have just aquired my wifes 'Hogwarts Express' from her parents loft and dusted it off. However, where it has previously been sat on a window ledge all the stickers have cracked and started to flake looking a real mess. Is there any where I can get new sticker sheets from or get scans so I can print my own? Cheers D

My name has been around since I was about 15 so 20 years! A friend of mine randomly started refering to me as Dazmundo, and then when I needed a screen name for something I thought it would work well. I am on lots of different forums and always use Dazmundo, and I've never come across another one so if you see a Dazmundo it is probably me. Just don't call me Daz!! D

I have to say, from my experience it is more limited to 'American' rather than English. I had never heard/seen LEGOs except from Americans, it makes me cringe to read it, IT'S LEGO!! D

When LEGO first started producing Star Wars LEGO sets I bought 6 and put them away as I was not in a position to do anything with them at the time. I have just recently regained my passion and I want to start collecting and building LEGO again so I have just got them down from the loft. I wasn't sure if I should just open and build them or sell them on and use the money to buy some Castle or Town sets (Sorry more my thing) so I looked them up on BrickLink and was amazed at the prices they are listed at, so I wanted to ask do these sets actually sell for these kinds of amounts. I have the following sets, all still sealed in their boxes. 7101 - Lightsaber Duel 7104 - Desert Skiff 7110 - Landspeeder 7121 - Naboo Swamp 7128 - Speeder Bikes 7130 - Snowspeeder Any thoughts would be apreciated D

Well I have opened a shop Dazmundo's Bricks and listed them, looked at the Price Guide and tried to guess a reasonable price. I will now put them away safely, if they sell they sell and if they don't so be it! D

Just got back from my inlaws and while we were there we had a root around in their loft and found a shoe box packed full of LEGO (it was all the LEGO my wife and her sister had owned). I obviously got it down and started having a rummage and very quickly identified that in amongst all the LEGO was the 6049 Viking Voyager set (I didn't know it's name or number I just recognised it) and I even managed to build most of it before I came across the instructions buried in the bottom of the box. I was quite proud of myself, my mother-in-law gave me a funny look. The rest of the box appears to be sets 510-520-530 and at least one other so loads of bricks, along with a Fabuland set 3633-Motor Boat. I really enjoyed my afternoon Unfortunatelly I had to put the box back D

Ah that is brilliant, thanks I didn't know there was that info on there. I shall be listing them on BrinkLink then! D

Hi I'm a big Discworld fan, I have almost all of the books, they are such engrosing stories. Think that my favourite group are the Watch books, (I even directed a play of 'Men at Arms'), I just finished re-reading 'Guards Gurads' and a couple of days ago I picked up a cheap copy of 'The Wit & Wisdom of the Discworld' in the WHSmiths sale D

How did you manage to get 103??? D

Thanks for the welcome, Unfortunately my collection is in my parents house which is an 8 hour round trip from here, so getting it back is going to have to wait till next time I'm visiting with enough space in the mini to fit it all in along with my wife & daughter and all their stuff! D

Hi everyone, I have been a LEGO fan since I was a child, haven't really had a 'Dark Age' maybe a 'Twilight Age' where I was not very active but I still bought odd small sets when I had the urge. Just really started getting interested again when I saw the collectable minifigs, I have all of series 1&2 now trying to find somewhere that is selling series 3. Although when the StarWars stuff first came out I did buy a few sets and these are still sealed in their boxes in my loft, I thought they would be a limited thing, guess I was wrong! All my old LEGO is still in a very large tiered box (Sorted by type if I remember correctly) at my parents and I am now itching to get it back and start building again. I was always into Castles and the Forest Men so had quite a lot of those sets but I had a decent amount of town stuff too and a bit of space. Anyway that's me, other than LEGO I am a 34yr old married man with a 1yr old daughter (She has LEGO Primo already) and we drive old VW's when we can, We currectly have 5 VW's on our drive (Must get the LEGO Beetle) Cheers for reading D

I'm planning on trying to get as many as I can without getting doubles, but if it becomes too much hastle I think I'll just buy the last few for a bit more, save spending more on one's I don't want, I just want one of each for the full set! D

I just got my first 6 from Argos and really struggled to see the dots, some packs definatelly seemed to have more dots than any of the pictures on the cheat sheets! Think I was the first in the box as it seemed full, but the staff had no problems with me having a feel, even had a chat about the fact that these don't have bar codes like the others had. D

I have just got my first 6, found them in my local Argos, Got Fisherman Samuri Racing Car Driver Snow Boarder Baseball Player Don't know what the last one is as I'm waiting to let my wife open it, the 'bumps' are giving me no clue, they are not easy to see at all. I had to go by feel and it was mainly trying to get things that felt different to each other rather than specific figures. Really pleased with my first load D -
Was in WHSmiths in Hertford today, no sign of series3 but they do have a sale on and the LEGO appears to be buy one get one free!, now I could be wrong as I didn't have time to investigate fully but it might be worth checking out your local store. They didn't have anything big but they did have quite a few different sets on the shelves. D
