I would expect certain discounts and maybe an inexpensive goody of some sort, nothing too special or big (which is fine I guess). But the reason why this statement is so vague might be because Lego themselves dont know yet what to do with it exactly.

How high are the chances for another wave of Rogue One Sets? Probably pretty low, but I would love to see more from that movie, especially minifigures. A Jedha-themed Set would be great (either Jedha City and/or Saws Hideout) with Saw, that badass alien which was his right-hand man or some of the Jedha citizens like the red-robed people. We also havent gotten Galen Erso yet, would be nice to get him in a set which either diplays his standoff with Krennic at the beginning on his farm with simple clothes or his standoff with him on Eadu when he wears the great science-officer uniform! And of course a blue squadron X-Wing with General Merrick and some other pilot of the squadron that had screentime (maybe the black guy), but I guess chances for that are even smaller.

I would love to see more from the OT in general. Besides a proper Cloud City I would be great to get a remake of the UCS Imperial Shuttle (which was already amazing by the looks of it) or Tantive IV. Both are quite expensive at this point via reselling, while their designs are just timeless!

Judging by how big it is apparently you might just go ahead and use it as a toiled lit the way it is

A toilet lid? Interesting, It was always a Pizza for me. Btw, I am still waiting that someone customizes the Slave 1 into an Iron

Yes, you are most likely correct. Was there any UCS Set released in the last years that suffered a quick shortage/out of stock which lead to ridiculous reseller offers as only option? Or rather was there any UCS Set in the last years that retired really fast so the demand couldnt be met? As far as I know no. But I´d say the hype or rather paranoia regarding the new UCS Falcon is a special case, because the OLD UCS Falcon went a really scary development and many people who desired it in the many years after its release could only look at multiple thousand Dollar Offers! Thus, a lot of fans probably just want to be sure (even if its not necessary), which might explain the general haste. I think Lego will produce the Falcon as long as there will be strong demand for it. The shop limit is pretty high with 3 (instead of 2 or only 1) and considering the price I am sure they make a nice profit with the set.

This is a forum, how in the hell is "complaining" aka legimitate critique attention seeking? If you dont like reading discussions or other peoples opinions that might differ from your own, you should probably leave... And who cares how many people waited how long for this set? Its a set like every other and for 800 Euro you should be allowed to critique as much as you want and as much as any other set.

There was a clear picture from the Falcon Underside on the first page of the thread here, but it seems gone now... I am suprised how good it DOES look, could have been a lot worse too. I would have prefered if the pieces put into interior space would have gone into the exterior and the underside especially, but it looks decent enough for me and honestly the underside is not THAT important (You rarely are going to see it from that angle). Getting its shaping correct is a necessity, but the same level of detail from the top would have been overkill for a model where you are limited in the piece count.

I like prequel bashing as much as the next guy, BUT those movies got it right in terms of artstyle and brought forth countless great designs for landvehicles and spaceships! Compared to that the new and ongoing Trilogy has not really much original designs to show for yet. Oh and the music was fantastic in the prequels as well, again something where Force Awakens did severly disappoint!

[MOD] UCS Slave 1 (anti-droop/bend when on stand)
BigEl replied to ArchieNov's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I did your Mod on my UCS Slave 1 shortly after I bought and build it and everything is fine on my end, too. That infamous gap hasnt gotten wider and my Slave 1 hasnt left its stand in over a year now. Thanks man, maybe it has prevented mine from dropping as well! -
Very nice, we definitely need more fun builds like these!

Seems like quite the stretch to me to call this a confirmation, could be a random coinsidence as well as seeing a pattern here. I mean, sure it would be nice to get a remake of the 2nd most expensive reseller set in Lego Star Wars, but I desperately crave for displayable Cloud City Set, especially new minifig versions of Lando and Luke. Just mindboggling that the iconic last part of the best SW-movie barely gets any attention... (in contrast to Hoth or tatooine in the other movies for example).

[MOC] Mods to sets 75101 FO Tie Fighter & 75155 U-Wing
BigEl replied to Spacebrick's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Welcome to the forum Spacebrick! Neat little mod you made to the TIE Fighter, glad to see that the model gets some love because I think it deserves more praise than It got. Im actually working on something for my own FO TIE at the moment. I especially like your changes in the shape and colourization of the cockpit sphere, great idea to attach the front canopy pieces to the left where the red stripe is since the connecting handle of the canopy itself is red. Looks a lot cleaner and realistic from the front!- 20 replies

All sets are limited production runs. As far as how many units and for how long, probably only Lego knows (or maybe even they dont yet and will wait on how the set will actually perfom before they decide)

Its 3 reasons for me as well: 1) The price is as huge as the set. 2) Same as you, got no idea where I could have the room to display it. 3) I already got a Falcon. But oh well, these probably wont stop me from buying the thing anyway...

Missing out? So you think that the VIPs will already buy the storage shelfs dry and on October 1st, the supposedly real Release, its instantly out of stock?! Actually, when I think about it, doesnt seem that farfetched Talk about 2-class consumers...
-
We still need a tutorial for this... this is the definitive way to display the thing. And for some (like me) probably the only way to display it due to space restrictions...

Its certainly big enough for it

When I first saw your Falcon MOC, I knew it was basically unreachable. You truly made the ultimate version, and its sad to see how Legos new iteration of the ship, even though it has the same amount of pieces as yours, still falls flat by a countrymile (especially the underside and the blue engine exhaust area). Yes, 75192 has an interior, but noone is ever going to buy it for that and it seems even smaller than the interior of the system scale version... They should have focused solely on the display-value and therefore on the exterior only. OR even better, just take your design and commercialize it ^^ I will probably still get Legos new Version because there is no alternative and yours is not sale :D

I am seriously considering to buy the set when it comes out, but will wait for the first reviews in mid september when the VIPs get their hands on it. Will be interesting to see even more angles (for example a close up of the engine exhaust) and how the internal structure is designed. Wasnt one of the flaws of the old UCS Falcon that the mandibles werent strong enough integrated in the core of the build and thus would start to dip over time because of their weight and forward length?

Alright then how about they throw in more figures that are not exclusive, like R2D2, Obi Wan Kenobi or the C3PO with both Arm and Sideleg-printing?

Ok, the underside is better than I initially feared! The overall model is definitely something to behold. Is the laser holes graphic besides the radar dish the only exterior sticker? But the minifigs are seriously disappointing. Yes the animals are nice to have, but character wise nothing new or exclusive, not even armprinting for one of the figs (like Han).
