Any word on a new Star Destroyer as this one is being retired? It is actually discontinued on S@H. Would love to see another Super Star Destroyer, tbh.

My friends and I have tickets for a January 2nd showing. Would have gone earlier, but the schedule of one of my friends was pretty much packed until then with family due to Christmas. He doesn't have his priorities straight! I mean come on, family before Star Wars?

So which two characters are rare? Finn and Maz Kanata? Which sets are they in (before Battle on Takodana)?

Yes, that is what I will probably end up doing, calling them first and having them hold one. That is what I did when purchasing the Death Star.

Honestly, I’m not a big fan of S@H, anyways. It is buggy, and with you what you indicated on it potentially crashing, makes me want to stay away from it for the GBHQ. What I will probably do is drive over to my local LEGO store and pick it up when the store opens. I don’t think it will sell out that fast, considering on how expensive it is.

Kind of my feelings, as well. I was kind of excited for the carbon freezing chamber, as well, but a little underwhelmed by the whole thing (and Boba Fett's head is no problem for me). For me, there should have been more minifigs (although I'm guessing they wanted to keep the cost down) and would have been nice to have a full chamber (for the carbonite area). I feel the carbonite for Han should have actually raised and lowered straight up and down instead of swinging up and down. I think I will probably pass on this for those reasons. Besides, I will be purchasing the Ghostbusters HQ in January, so I need to definitely pick and choose.

Maybe Vader and Luke weren't included because there have been so many variants for them, especially for Luke? But I do have to agree with you to an extent. I mean if you are going to play out the scene, it would be appropriate with not only Vader and Luke, but Chewbacca and Princess Leia, as well. However, they were probably wanting to keep the costs down. But I especially agree with the aspect of the carbonite being able to raise straight up and down, instead of swinging down.

I really don't think it is too much of an issue. Have we ever even seen Boba Fett without his helmet, anyways? We've only seen his face when he was a child in Attack of the Clones, which doesn't apply to the scene for this set, anyways. Where maybe it would have been nice to have the option of a more scene-appropriate face (if you took the helmet off), I think with (a grown) Boba Fett being known in his Mandalorian armor in the movies, the majority of the people would be leaving his helmet on, anyways, even if his face was appropriate.

Well yes, I know what the terms Out of Stock and Discontinued means in general, but I was clarifying the definition of "Sold Out" on LEGO's shop. I saw "Sold Out" for an item and I had thought that just meant temporarily out of stock. But Vorkosigan clarified it. Thanks.

Hi my name is Ted. I am longtime LEGO fan, but had been out of the hobby for awhile. When I was young, my parents would take me into the city near Christmas and look at story windows at Marshall Fields. Afterwards, we would go to the Water Tower Place (mall) and allow me to pick out one LEGO set at the toy store (this was long before any official LEGO stores). Star Wars has always been my favorite, so I remember picking out the Millennium Falcon, X-Wing Fighter, Tie-Fighter and AT-AT to name a few. As I got older, I grew out of LEGO (I know, a travesty) but decided to pick up the LEGO Dimensions, and building the portal, then minifigures, brought me back to my younger years and I got the itch again. Since then I’ve picked up the Death Star (10188), Final Duel and the Ecto-1. And on my radar is purchasing the Ghostbusters Firehouse that will be released in January. I love building them again like I always did, but not sure how much my wallet loves it! Sorry for the long intro, but I look forward to contributing to the forums and sharing my love for LEGO.

Because of the two stormtroopers? I don't know, not a fan of the First Order troopers, do not like their helmets. But then maybe that's because I have preference to the Episode 4/5/6 troopers.

Hmm, not sure what to say on that. But I'm from NA and when looking on the official LEGO Shop site, it says January 1st. I would think LEGO would release it simultaneously across different regions, but maybe not?

Hello Lobot, thank you for the welcome. Ok, that makes sense, then. On why the 2014 helmets don't look blue, as they are a darker blue. I'm not a fan of the light blue vent on the Rebels version (sw578). My question, how do you find out what the numbers are on the item to check it out on bricklink? Like where do you find out the 2014 stormtrooper variant is sw585? From now on, with any questions, I'll be sure to post them here.

Yes, you're right, it's not as noticeable on items that are not limited runs. But it's still taking away sales from legitimate customers. There are always going to be only 'x' amount of stock for a set, whether online or at a store, and if one person buys 10 of them (9 to sell), that is 9 that could have gone to a legitmate buyer, instead. Sure, if it's an item that will be easily gotten they will get it somewhere else or the next shipment, but should they have to do that so the other person can make his overpriced sales? For UCS or limited runs, it's even worse.

That's a good point. You are probably right the GHQ will not sell out as fast as Doctor Who due to the difference in price. However, going to the LEGO store when it comes out also allows me to have it on release. :)

Good. Serves them right for buying a bunch of them just so they can rip people off. I don't mind someone selling an extra set they received by either a gift or bought mistakenly and trying to get fair market price for it. However, when someone buys a bunch of them (in turn taking those sales from legitimate LEGO fans) with the intention to scalp, I have no sympathy for them if they get burned.

Are those supposed to be blue? I can't tell with my old eyes. But I believe you, it's just something I've never noticed before. Bricklink works fine for me. And there is a good selection of them. I like that I can also buy the blasters in great numbers. I really don't like the stud launchers for the newer Rebels troopers, nevermind the helmets are 'meh'.

I guess the helmets only come with blue vents. When looking at those sets, it really does look like the vents are in black (which I prefer), but if it's only blue, that is a small issue as I like the rest of the minifigure. Thank you, so much.
