What other SW "Battle Packs" would you like to see?
Fives replied to BearHeart's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Ya, thats one thing I disliked about the first droid BP: old arms and guns. I hated it how the Clones in the other BP and the other BDs in the MTT got the new guns, but not these droids. It was one of those "WTF LEGO!" moments. -
Ya, I noticed that too. They just have it on wrong. Droidekas have one leg at the back and two at the sides.
-
Exactly. I find that the design that LEGO has developed for the blasters is very good and works well with all characters, except for the battle droids. The Stormtrooper blaster just looks nothing like the droid blasters. I think that the original mega phone blasters have more resemblance than the current ones. Like I can live with it, but it kinda annoys me having over 60 B1 BDs, and only 17 of them with the original blaster. But I can't complain much... I do have over 60 B1s.

Ya, I doubt this ship will ever be made as a set, unless in UCS from. I don't own any UCS sets. They are amazing, but they rarely feature figs, and the figs are what I like most. Anyway, this ship just isn't iconic enough to be made into UCS form. I'm actually upset they made that UCS Obi-Wan's starfighter. I think that UCS should only be OT. But, there are only so many ships in OT.

Most likely the shorter rifle, what I like to call the standard Stormtrooper blaster. Its nice of LEGO to give us a couple extra blasters for characters who don't need them (the Pilot, well, pilots the ship, and Anakin runs and hides behind the box) But those blasters will come in handy.

I like the idea of black jetpacks. That would just kick megablocks! As for your Droid Ship idea, if TLG made a set based on these scenes, there are more likely to just make a minifig scale Trade Federation control ship instead of a playset. It would be similar in size to the Venator and ISD (minifig scale versions, of course). Minifigs would be Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Possibly Gunray, but doubt it. There would be like 4 BDs, and maybe two security BDs, plus one droideka, maybe TC-14, and maybe a walking hologram of Darth Sidious, but that would be tricky unless they used the same idea for hologram Sidious from the ISD. Plus, maybe that transmission wall thing with a big sticker of Queen Amidala on it. That would be nice for... playabilty? (Talk to the Queen about political stuff!) Kids will love it!

Just look at the pic. The brown box there has two black objects in it and they look like the handles of blasters, two of them.
-
I know this may sound absurd, but I would give up all the sets and keep every minifig. They are my favorite part.
-
I was just looking at the new pic of the N-1 starfighter, and I noticed there are two black objects sitting in the box on the blue maintenance vehicle. I think that they are two blasters, possibly the new pistols. That would be nice if they were.

I'm glad they fixed the destroyer droid! The last one was just too big. This one still looks big, but with those moveable legs, it should be able to be put in a rolling position, like the first one. As for the set itself, pretty much the same as the last one, but I'll still get it.

They would never put as big a character as Boss Nass (no pun intended ) into a BP, same with Poggle the Lesser. Captain Trpals I could see, due to the fact we got Zev Senesca in 2010's Rebel BP. -
I believe it is just one WP trooper and then Commander Wolffe.

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars minifigures?
Fives replied to Darthking623's topic in LEGO Star Wars
I would say my favorite(s) are Darth Vader, Chewbacca, both new and old Boba Fetts, Jango, and Ep. 2 Clones. -
Ok, here is something more realistic. The big tank, gun things from AOTC that shoot down the Trade Federation ships during the battle of Geonosis (I don't remember what it is called). Minifigs: Two basic AOTC clone troopers, one AOTC clone commander (yellow ones) and one AOTC clone sergeant (green?) Price: $89.99 CAD Heres another: Clone Forward Command Center (from AOTC): Minifigs: Yoda (classic version, new prints), red AOTC clone (don't remember the rank), two basic AOTC clones. Price: $69.99 CAD Included in this one would be the command center itself (with some sort of useless flick-fire function included for the little ones), and a dark red speeder bike, like a new version of the one included in the old AT-TE set.

Why would it cost so much more? All they would have to do is come up with a couple more designs for the BP and then print the instruction booklets with more instructions. I think not only AFOLS would go for this, but parents and kids as well. Most parents don't want to spend too much on a LEGO set and if the get a BP with three designs then they will feel like they are getting more, and kids can build it one way, play with it for a while, and then build it another way just for fun. TLG would do so well with this. -

I think it would be awesome if TLG made BPs with multiple different ways to be built. Say the set seen on the front of the box is a speeder, but you look on the back and there are two different models to make from the same parts. And in the instructions, all three are included, so multiples of a BP wouldn't mean multiples of that particular vehicle. It would make variety in armies way bigger, and I think people would love the idea. It would be like they are getting three little sets for the price of one. -
I watched those recently (I have both volumes on DVD) and I noticed that if you put the Ep. 2 Obi-Wan hair on the current CW Obi-Wan it looks exactly like the one from the 2003 series. But I seriously doubt that TLG will make sets based on those episodes now. With the current CW series still going, TLG will probably only concentrate on that and the movies. But, if I could get any set from that old series, it would probably be the ARC Gunship, like DarthR2-D2 said. Those clones would just be so sick as real figs, especially Fordo.
-
I know that it seems a bit much, but it would be awesome. And five figs isn't much. Remember the first droid battle pack. It had seven droids, 3 of which were SBDs. And they probably wouldn't bring back the great blue colour, but it would be great.
-
These are very possible, and sound just plain awesome, but I think for the next pair of PT/CW BPs I want AOTC ones. Just 4 plain AOTC clones, and then the droids would get 1 old Geonosian, 2 old red BDs, and 2 old blue SBDs. That would just be awesome.

The latest episode of the CW had both Tiin's and Gallia's fighters in it. But, Tiin's is just a green repaint of Ahsoka's and Gallia's is a red repaint of Koon's. The CW team really let us down in this category.
-
Well, minus 3P0. He just kinda tagged along and stuff. I think that if either of the droids were to come with the MF, it should be R2, seeing as we got two sets with 3P0 last year, and R2 in only one, so there's that...

Ok, I must have totally missed this whole thing on how TPM is bad. I understand that there are fans who are OT fans only and fans who are PT fans only. But, how can you compare the two trilogies? The OT is, irrefutably, the best. But, the PT is good in its own right. It's like trying to compare apples to oranges. I am the sort of Star Wars fan that accepts everything that George Lucas makes. By far, OT is a WAY better story, but PT... its just... on a different scale. A lower scale. I'm rambling, but I guess all I'm saying is that OT and PT can't be compared because they are just so different. Anyway, this is profoundly off topic, so...

I have a feeling that Leia's new hair will be much more accurate thatn the old one. It may look bad in the pics, but I think it will be great in person As for Han's hair, like I said before, it should stay the same. It is his torso that needs a makeover.

Exactly. I'm also quite upset that Chewie's eyes are still... well... not really there. They are just two brown gaps. Even two little black dots would be nice. It looks like Salacious Crumb did to him what he did to 3P0!
