Like Kathleen Kennedy said in her statement, they really are keeping true to the tradition of casting newbies. Also, I find the fact that Pip Anderson is known for his parkour skills could perhaps mean he'll be a warrior akin to Maul. Just an idea. And on a slightly related note, I was watching the Zygerria arc from The Clone Wars and realized that light-whips have never appeared in the films. I'd really love to see how they'd handle a light-whip fight scene with real actors and stunts. It could be a really great opportunity for an awesome fight.

An exclusive Darth Plauguis, like the Darth Revan promo, would be really cool.

kevkipo, that looks like fan art. Knowing how PJ tends to design some things that disregard expectations (Beorn, the goblins), who knows what the boar could look like (I mean, its Middle-Earth. Animals don't always look the same as they do here).

Finally, a Palpatine that is perfect! The biggest issue that the grey skinned Palpatine fig was that it didn't fit in well with the PT figs. This fig will look great in either setting. Plus, now I feel like we finally have perfect versions of both Palpatine and Sidious. When does the book come out?

If the Fett movie were handled similarly to Dredd, I'd be really happy. But like you said, this is Disney we're talking about, so things likely won't be too dark. Then again, look at some of the stuff from the Pirates films. There is some really dark stuff in there.

I desperately hope that the stand alone film Trank is doing will be focused around a Force user. Chronicle was amazing because it portrayed special powers in such a realistic way, and it would be interesting to see that applied to the Force.

I feel like this thread has kinda oddly gone silent recently, so heres a bit of stuff to reignite the conversation. Gandalf the White's staff wasn't broken in the books, but he did encounter the Witch-King at the gates of Minas Tirith. In the film, they changed the location to a battlement on the wall while Gandalf and Pippin go to save Faramir. In the film, they decided to break his staff to show how powerful the Witch-King is. Also, I remember reading somewhere that Sylvester Mcoy said that the staff he has is the same one Gandalf has during FOTR, hinting that Radagast could die and Gandalf get his staff.

Looks great! It'll likely be $100 here in Canada. The Qui-Gon is the real draw for me.

I'm really hoping that we get a new Falcon from Episode 7. I'm only guessing here, but it would make sense that the Falcon would be a government ship 30 years after ROTJ, which means she may not be as much of a 'hunk of junk' as we're used to. I doubt her appearance will have significantly changed, but there may be some new additions or whatnot. Plus, it would make sense for it to be the only way to get older Han, Leia and Chewie. Luke should be included in a smaller set, perhaps with his apprentice or R2 and 3-P0. I'm just getting super excited for the film, and hope that we get a full wave or two (roughly 8 sets or more) to cover the film.

Wow! Thats so much smaller! I mean, sure, I expected some size difference, but that is far more substantial than I thought! What a shame! I'll likely still get it eventually, but not as soon as i originally intended.

I always loved how in the second game, the stupid Rebels troops would spend half a minute shooting the already dead Stormtrooper and yell at it. It still makes me chuckle.

Yeah, its a shame that Sabine was excluded from this initial wave. But that gives us something to look forward to, as she could be part of a set more suited to her character (can anyone else see stickers that depict spray paint graffiti?). Plus, we still have yet to see the Inquisitor. Speaking of that, I'm curious as to how they plan to do the Inquisitor's unique lightsaber hilt. Its unlike anything we've seen before, and could potentially warrant a new mold. The again, I fear that any new lightsaber hilt could look too big in the hands of a minifig. Both his and Ezra's hilts bring this worry to me, but I feel like we may end up with just the same old hilt pieces we've always had.

So it may not be much, but this is essentially our first official look at what I'm assuming is Tatooine in Abu Dhabi! I have no idea what the bearded ostrich thing is, but I love it, and the fact that its a good old puppet reassures me that JJ knows what he is doing in regards to the special effects.

While the PT ruined SW for a lot of older fans, I don't believe its in Disney's interests to completely change what we know. Plus, they are the films. They are and always will be canon. I feel like any Star Wars film should exist within the fixed canon, while games, books, comics and such can be subject to change. Also, if they have a new group whose job it is to keep the canon clear, I doubt ripping a massive chunk of the story out of the framework would make sense. Cuz if the PT goes, then so does CW and everything that ties to. It just wouldn't work. And regardless of all that, it would be the hugest middle finger Disney give Lucas. It'd basically be saying "Thanks for your life's work, we're now gonna change and mess with all of it."

Too much printing where its not really needed just makes figs look messy. The new Officer looks great as is. I'm not completely sold on the new Vader. While I love the new printing and head, I feel that the helmet/mask has become too outdated in comparison to some of the more elaborate, detailed molds TLG is using. It just feels strange when you know that the Bith figs are likely going to stand taller than Vader. Feels weird.

I never played online, so this doesn't really bother me much. Anyways, they are making the new game (they are planning on releasing some more info at E3) which may push to finally get a PS4 (all I have is a PS2, Wii and N64). If they are smart, they won't make this new game feel too much like a Star Wars version of COD. The one thing that I always liked more about Battlefront over most other shooters was its accessibility. A Star Wars game aimed at the more hardcore gamers, while amazing, could alienate too many younger fans who may be put off by too intense of a game.

I feel like we need some more variations of PT characters like Padme, as well as some updated old figs. These are just a few ideas: Padme in her red battle outfit from TPM and her pregnant Mustafar outfit from ROTS (these would give us the most significant versions of her from each of the films) Captain Typho. Its a shame that the upcoming TPM set has an unnamed Naboo Guard. It would be way nicer if they could've just made Typho, even though he doesn't appear in TPM. More Neimoidians, and more of the Separatist Council. I think it would be really awesome to get a Muun head that could subsequently be used for a potential exclusive Darth Plagueis fig. Non-CW versions of Jedi. It kind of goes without saying, but characters like Ki-Adi Mundi, Plo Koon and Luminara feel like Jedi who deserve Saga remakes. Its a fierce shame that LEGO's license doesn't allow for individual figs to be released via a CMF series. If LEGO were allowed, I'd say they could make a 16 fig series based on each film, which would allow them to give us more secondary characters without having to sacrifice fig slots in sets. Extra Cantina band members or patrons would work perfectly here, along with alternate versions of main heroes (AOTC 3-P0 is still a fig I'd love to have).

I grew up with the Battlefront games ( I was 9 or 10 when the first game was released in 2004), and I still believe those are the best Star Wars games ever made. Thats just my two cents on that subject.

If thats true, then its a shame. I feel like Slave 1 isn't really necessary as a UCS. If anything, we need a remake of Jango's version.

Oh, wow. Thats pretty clever. But what about the feet? Have they brought back the old Mars Mission alien legs?

I'm desperately hoping its a new tan AAT. Thats one old set that hasn't been revamped yet, while we have gotten a remake of the MTT. Plus, an AAT would be a cheaper set, which is good. I'm just glad that we're finally getting a Qui-Gon with updated torso prints and new leg print. He and the Naboo Guard are the stars of the set. The little white servo droid looks like it has some new pieces, and hopefully he'll have some kind of printing, otherwise thats a really cool/boring and useless fig. Ruune Haako would have been better, or even Padme in her dark red battle outfit. Alas, a missed opportunity.

I agree that a variant of Palpatine would be awesome, and that Senate Duel outfit would be brilliant. I've always liked that outfit most over all his other cloaks. Also, it could mean we get a dark brown hood, as well as a Sidious face that matches the detail of this year's Chancellor fig.

That book is exciting because its a chance to get an unreleased Sith or an alternate version of a current fig. Its rare that we get more than one or two variants of a Sith, so I'm eager to see what they choose.
