LOVE the U-Wing, reminds me of Interstellar's Ranger ship, love it! I can't believe that a few months ago I was so blasé about RO in general, especially after seeing the characters and vehicles I'm well excited, I just hope K-250 isn't just a dark bley battle droid with Dooku's pilot's head! he needs to be WAY larger and a more specific design.

Have any of you ever heard of TLG barring someone from buying direct from them for any reason?

Agreed, I've just brick linked the parts I didn't have, can't wait to build it! Although, I do love the other micro builds (Dagobah and Lars' Homestead) I'm hoping there'll be another comicon exclusive micro build this year! maybe Endor based?

The genuinely pleasant (but misinformed) person I spoke to tried to tell me the US had these extra incentives because: 1. they do not have value added tax like we in the UK do, so it is more expensive in the first place! ( I do not have the energy to explain all the ways that is wrong on this post) and 2. Because they were not getting 75098 today like we were!!! seriously!I have been wanting this set so much but I cannot bring myself to get it with these meagre incentives.

Someone's had a good morning! Could you scan and post the Space slug instructions for all us unlucky collectors who couldn't get one? PLEEEAAASE!!!! I on the other hand have spent this morning on the phone to shop@home trying to understand the inequality of the offers from country to country ( I just want to make it clear that I know we in the UK have it a lot better than many other countries) but the US getting 20% off AND double VIP points! So I have been planning on buying 75098 ever since it was announced, EVEN when it was revealed and we could see the poor effort in this 'UCS' set I still planned on buying it, EVEN after all the discussions and then the accurately scathing reviews of the last couple of days I still planned on buying it until.... I was about to check out and noticed that there were no double VIP points! it is partly my fault for assuming that the double points were worldwide, but c'mon, this set is SO bad that only the inclusion of the stormy polybag, poster and double VIP points was making it worthwhile, I planned to spend over 400 pounds on lego today, but this was the last straw! I will now wait for the hopefully inevitable discount on this set when sales are so poor, or just brick linking the few minifigures than I need to keep the collection up to date. In order to make sure that TLG never serves us this kind of steaming waste again I would advise as many of you that have a few minutes spare to contact lego customer services and log your opinion, that's what I did and they take this stuff seriously.

The new Death star will certainly fit into the "expensive set" bracket!

Other sites have described this as 'fan art' that leg have put on their fb page, so may explain all the reused parts. Excellent quality rendering though!

Okay, so we're getting the FN-2187 minifigure polybag with the game, the 'new' TFA stormie as a may the 4th promo, any idea when and how we're getting the FO general polybag minifigure yet?

Is this the first time we've seen a 1x1 round plate with centre hole in trans orange, the one used on the new flametrooper's thrower so that the flame piece can be attached?

The eye is printed on a dark bley round 2x2 plate with rounded bottom (boat stud). This is attached to one of the fairly recent 'donut' tiles in dark tan, which is then connected to a new 2x2 round tile with centre stud which can connect to the blue plates on the side of the luggabeasts head. Hope that made sense.

Ha! I'm so glad I uploaded this image, even only for that joke! On the subject of female leads... What is everyone's problem?! Rey was awesome, and Jyn looks equally, but differently awesome, two strong female role models, but more importantly interesting characters and excellent actors/actresses. While Rey can look after herself she is/was very innocent and childlike at the beginning of TFA whereas Jyn is already a cynical hard*ss, I can't wait for this movie!

There have been a few comments identifying this (below image) stormy on Jakku as the May 4th exclusive minifigure. Yes he has a backpack, but the ammo packs on the left shoulder are missing, so not this guy either. Although I agree a more exciting character could/should have been chosen, I really like this variation and will definitely be picking him up. Backpack Stormtrooper by Matthew Bassett, on Flickr

Wow, that is very cool! I think we should probably brace ourselves for a smaller and more expensive new DS, but I think that it could still offer an amazing range of both updated and new minifigures and some beautiful detailing given all the new parts that have been included in TLG's range since 10188 was released, plus the general improvement in the SW set design.

Yes, I agree, you'd have to think carefully about the central structure that would support both the opening sections and also the outer surfaces, but I reckon it's possible.

I think that a design similar to my quick sketch below would give the flexibility to display it's exterior but also be able to open it up and display the interior detailing of the the key movie scenes. LEGO Death Star concept by Matthew Bassett, on Flickr

Okay guys, so I too was a little disappointed when Assault on Hoth was officially released but the more I've thought about it the more I can see why they've designed it in the way they have. I know it seems pretty disparate but if they'd only built a single large structure with the same piece count there would have been some similar uproar as it would have seemed even less substantial. Ewok Village seems so much more substantial mostly due to the fact that the structure is mostly tree trunks or flat wide platforms. There is a reasonable argument as to whether this should have the UCS badge but it won't change anything now. And as for the price... Ewok Village - 1990 pieces for £199.99 = 10p per piece. 17 minifigures included. Assault on Hoth - 2144 pieces for £219.99 = 10.2p per piece. 15 minifigures included. 1 Wampa included. 1 Tauntaun included. The Ewok Village design was appropriate for a single structure build, it seems TLG thought that Hoth was more appropriately represented as a group of smaller builds. I for one can't wait to get my hands on it!

I've promised myself the same, but will make the final decision after seeing the RO sets. Ooh wee, too excited! Agreed. Yes, but there's always room for different versions, I'mhoping the new Wampa will feature the separate fingers as shown in the video. I'll eat my hat if there are no Tauntauns included, again hoping for new prints/detailing even though the last ones were pretty good already. There will be. Unless they plan to release another smaller set soon based on Hoth to include Leia, Bacta Luke, etc then I'm assuming they will be included. If we use Ewok Village as a standard with it's 15 unique minifigures then even if we take five away because of the Wampa and Tauntaun that still leaves 10 minifigures to be included. Bring on the Toy Fair!!!
