The hiker from the new Minifigures series has red legs with navy blue moulded boots... they could prove useful for a superhero character, somewhere down the line. Back on topic – I've read that there is going to be a Minifigure series based on the Lego Batman Movie, so we should hopefully get new versions of the villains featured in the trailer and hopefully a decent Commissioner Gordon. Be great if Clayface features in a set too!

Yep, that's where I got mine from, also bought the dual-moulded legs for Batman and Superman from the BvS Batwing set... now if only we could get a set of dual-moulded legs for the Flash!

I got the Spiderman legs from the Sandman set, changed the hips to red and put them onto the comic-book Superman... looks superb.

I've never been a fan of 'red' Nightwing so I'm glad to have the proper 'blue' version. However I agree, I would have preferred a different minifigure. The DVD figures are a nice way to get hold of a character that might not see the light of day otherwise, and there's a good chance Nightwing will be in a DC/Batman set in the future. Cheetah would have been a great choice, or Commissioner Gordon perhaps.

Actually, before the Marvel movies, i'd say DC heroes were more widely known... The trinity transcend the genre and are icons... the only Marvel characters in that bracket (pre MCU) were Spiderman and Hulk. Ant-Man, GotG, and even Iron Man, Thor I would say were not as familiar characters as Flash, Green Lantern or even Aquaman.

Have you never read a comic? The Silver-Age Atom has been around since 1961, and shrinking is his 'power' (the Arrow TV show isn't the best source material to go off) - he pre-dates Ant-Man too. As for the figure... very disappointing, especially the helmet as everyone has noted... I've seen better customs.

The Lego Store in the Manchester Arndale have the Ra's al Ghul set in, so not sure it's 'exclusive'.

I believe the Batmobile appears in flashbacks, so it would appear that the turrets are a more recent additions (in movie chronological terms).

I'm glad we're getting the blue Nightwing... I prefer that version much better - however I would have loved that Gordon figure to have been the free minifigure with the DVD.

Agree - I don't like Riddler's bowler with hair, but he's been needing a proper question mark cane. Two-face looks really good here too. -

Well, strictly speaking, neither are accurate to Keaton's Batman – the minifigure's symbol and belt are wrong and the action figure's symbol is wrong...

I agree - the paint application on his torso is fantastic up-close. Looks great - however i'm disappointed that the helipad is a huge sticker rather than a printed base for the price.

It's not about buying multiple sets - it's about finding a way to release more obscure heroes/villains. It's just taking the set-size and applying it differently, and i'd bet Lego would sell more of the smaller sets of DC and Marvel characters as they'd easily affordable to kids too... I mean, who would say no to a boxset of Lanterns, whether they be Green, Red, Yellow etc. etc.?

Something similar to the DC BTAS figure would be nice... Also be good if Lego could come up with something similar to Axl in the Nexo Knights, and make a chest piece that would give us a bigger than normal minifigure without having to have a big fig, then we could have Ubu too.

I don't agree – you take the 'army-builder' principle of 4 figures and a small build and apply it to super heroes – so a JSA set for example could have SA Flash, Green Lantern, Wildcat and Dr. Fate with meeting table perhaps. Or a new kind of set 3 minifigures and a big fig. You could then have Solomon Grundy (hulk hair and figure would work), Atom Smasher, Swamp Thing etc, with 3 normal figures that relate to that character,

With the new sets coming this year, it seems that most people are not too impressed with the vehicles but the figures are all very well recieved – it also seems that Lego know that people crave new characters, so maybe it would be nice for them to go down a different route with the Super Heroes... Firstly 2 or 3 Minifigure series would enable us to get pretty much all the figures we need. Or, secondly, how about a few 'army-builder' type sets - the type made often for Star Wars, but instead of 4 Stormtroopers and a small build vehicle/accessory - maybe a Gotham set... Barbara Gordon (using the new wheelchair), Commissioner Gordon, Ragman perhaps... Azrael... Huntress? But basically 4 figure sets with a small build. There could be JLA or JSA sets, Legion of Doom sets etc. etc.

Luckily I managed to get Lightning Lad through Ebay - and will be picking up the DVD anyway, so will have Cosmic Boy, so we really just need Saturn Girl now... but then again we're still waiting for Raven too.

There was a great 1970's comic - where Batman and Ra's have a sword fight bare-chested... Batman in full costume minus the shirt... would make for a quirky minifigure.
