Vader's TIE Fighter modified to a TIE Crawler!
Hewman replied to Dark Sword Ragnarok's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Infinitely better, it has a real solid chunky feel about it. The 7664 is half price over here in Oz at toys r us and I still don't want it even though I love ties, this one I'd be very tempted to buy. -
For Aussies: Toys r Us have tie crawlers for 50% off and Y-wings for about 40% off, my local had plenty in stock today.
-
Is this really an appropriate topic? I'd ask you to consider whether you should cancel your initial post. I don't think it would be very community oriented to have certain people labelled as thieves.

Try Target, I got mine in Adelaide last week.
-
They're all at target too. And weren't exactly flying off the shelves either.
-
The Good Wizard impulse set from target in Oz. Definitely the best of the impulse sets, nice details on legs and hips, superb hat, including the gold buckle being part of the mould which was a nice touch. I'd definitely recommend it.

At the 25% off sale at Myer (Australia) I got the new Y-wing and Dwarves' Mine (only $52.50 for this, a total bargain, almost half what they're going for on ebay!)
-
Dwarves' mine now available in Australia at Myer, plus they have 25% off until xmas eve. That brings the price down to just $52.50 Aus. I got mine from Myer Adelaide.

Menacing! The only thing I could suggest is maybe a little grey or something for just a tiny bit of colour contrast. Well done, great stuff!!

Hardship of Destroying Old Mocs for New?
Hewman replied to Brickmaster's topic in General LEGO Discussion
I can't destroy them either so I end up having to buy multiples of sets so I can have one in the original condition and one with parts used for another creation, it's an expensive personality quirk! So you're definitely not alone there. -
The heli-pad is definitely the highlight for me, very cool.
-
I'm sure I saw a monkey climbing up a pole in the starting grid set.
-
Love it! Or is that uncool in the satanic world and should it be 'I hate it'?

Question: do people buy you LEGOs as gifts?
Hewman replied to Medievalego's topic in General LEGO Discussion
People wouldn't dare buy me lego as a gift because 1. It's highly likely they would pick something I don't like and 2. If they did pick something I really liked, it'd most likely be something I already had, being a well and truly fully grown adult with my own income. -
What is your favourite Lego-related sound?
Hewman replied to Kahgarak's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Strangely, that's one of my most disliked noises as I imagine all the pieces getting scratched up inside the box. But my favourite noise would have to be the clicking in of a technic brick with holes to a brick with a pin attached when joining big sections of a set. -
Love it, that's sensational!
-
That's excellent, love the classic space style colours!
-
Love the spider, not available down under yet though.
-
In it, please, can you tell us how bendable the whip is? I've heard it isn't bendable at all, but can't wait for the full review, figs look great.
-
7666 Hoth. Way better than I thought it would be. A few short cuts in the snowspeeder compared to 4500, but still pretty good, some of the stickers on the snowspeeder make me think 'what was the point of those'.
-
Well I haven't seen any new batman or dwarves' mining in Adelaide yet so perhaps they are yet to make it down under. A few places are still selling the old batman sets.
-
That's a fantastic effort, I'll have to see if I can replicate it with mine.
-
On the legitimacy of this seller I would say one thing most certainly in his favour is that all photos seem to be taken in the same place and are of similar picture quality, it's not like he's just scoured brickshelf and pulled random pics. Also it'd be much harder to find the sort of pics he has with the eclectic mix of sets in each listing. Mind you this is all irrelevant to me, I'd love one or two of the sets but those combined prices for 6 or 7 push me out of the market.

What're your favorite and least favorite Star Wars minifigures?
Hewman replied to Darthking623's topic in LEGO Star Wars
5. Jawa 4. Snowtrooper (would be higher but helmets don't stay on as well as others) 3. R2-D5 2. Hoth Leia and number 1 is drum roll, the mouse droid from 6211, nah 1. Vader, just love the details of the helmet and the scars on the minifig head (but he must have a cape on, unlike that transformation set) -
The original A-wing which I loved at the time but doesn't look near as cool as the new one.
