Thankfully it's only a color, and not them saying no to the switches.

The nose looks extremely short height wise to me.

I don't know if anyone here knows the story of the ICG 1776, but this model is of the second locomotive that was painted up in that pain scheme. The first locomotive was envoled in a grade crossing accident with a tanker truck that sadly killed the crew, and a road foreman. The ICG repainted and renumbered the second unit since the original was completely totaled. I believe in honor of the crew there was a plate inside the locomotive. Your model looks amazing.

It was exactly the same as yours expect for the spring or those tabs holding the spring. The one I had open is about two years old. So it doesn't surprise me that the design changed.
-
Intresting the one I had opened last week didn't have that little spring.
-
It's a small tab that when you press the switch lever it moves the switch points over.

I haven't been through the recent micro-marks catalog but last year they had torsion springs for hand built switches. Maybe that would also be a place to look?
-
That's a great idea Splatman. The thing is needs to be figured out is what tension the spring needs to be at since too strong will break the switch point, and too weak the switch point won't budge.

I see rubber bands being a problem.

ill definitely be ordering several.

My biggest thing about a lot of the train ones are we don't know if they actually have made the model of the train. Tony's we know it's been made since its been shown since day one, and Scott's is also a model which we had been made. Plus both are gorgeous models, and really realistic.

I think the best part of this switch part is a that you could model a scale switch stand.

It is a great sounding deafing material. I worked at a placed called Entertrainment Junction and they used that on the layout they had there.
-
I would buy 3D prints as well. I think your custom track pieces are awesome, as they open up a bunch of layout possibility.

No that's the Frisco 1522. He is talking about Southern Railway 4501. My profile picture is the Ms class of which 4501 is apart of.

See I placed an order back in November of last year for two packs of R104's curves. I then ordered several packs of straights got the straights right away, but I'm still waiting for my R104's curves. Maybe they will come eventually. -
The biggest one I would suggest is the Ten Wheeler project. It's a prefect small locomotive for most people, plus Lego could take a page out of the book the model railway companies use, and do one for a chirstmas set.

The PennLUG Roundhouse and Locomotive Service Terminal

This is even better than some of the ho scale layout. In fact someone from my train club said that's not Lego they have to be using something other than Lego. That was until I showed the the ground. -
This is a set I'll be buying at least one.

The Blue, and Red Paint Scheme was the Grand Trunk paint scheme.

This train set is absolutely gorgeous, and I'm glad you picked to use the F40 Cabbage instead of the new cab car.

Working on putting finishing on my Southern Railway (USA) Ks-1 No. 630, and now gathering parts for a Southern Railway A7 0-6-0 switch engine. Plus planning on six or seven new freight cars.
