  1. Finally decided to snag a Chima set. The Ravens looked like a neat faction, and they happened to have the cheapest set. Now, it was definitely a neat set out of the box, but after some tinkering I think I like this version more. Let me know what you think! Ancestors to the Build-able Action Figure

Stikfas and Xevoz were modular using a ball joint system to snap the major limbs together. Thats a good example of buildable action figures that used ball joints. And lets not forget the indie toyline Glyos. That smacks the crap out of Hero Factory. And its been around for much longer! There are many, many, buildable action figure lines if you aren't afraid to break off into the indie market.

Thanks for the praise folks! Glad you like 'em.

    Transport Vessel

I saw this on Flickr and was immediately enamored. Delightfully greebly. Almost Homeworld-y in its shape. The base is also pretty spiffy! I need me some of those bley crates.

    Random Microspace

It seems I've been bitten by the microspace bug. I've had a blast cooking up little fighters. Here's the latest bunch. "Manta" Assault Fighter by HatRabies, on Flickr This was quite obviously inspired by this build: http://www.flickr.co...six/8505197008/ (And by inspired I mean completely ripped off) The next three are original. At least to me! "Bloodhound" Interceptor by HatRabies, on Flickr "Lancer" Heavy Fighter by HatRabies, on Flickr "Talon" Heavy Fighter by HatRabies, on Flickr There are a bunch more views of each of them on my Photostream. Most of them feature retractable landing gear, and varied landing modes. I had a blast piecing these together, here's hoping for many more!

    MFZ Frames

Thanks, Bob De Quatre! So someone pointed out to me that the color change of the quadruped was perhaps a bit harsh, so I made this small change. VX-97 Spider Ghost by HatRabies, on Flickr Thoughts? Better? Worse?

    Twin Hawks

I've been supporting anything of yours I see pop up on Cuusoo. I really adore these Skyfi creations you've been making, and I'm quite ecstatic to see they fit a minifigure. The proportions of these are just right. A little chunky and wonderfully swooshable.

Sorry for my recent absence! I was waiting on a rather large PaB order that took its sweet time. I've had enough requests for breakdowns that I'll be putting some up this week. I'll make sure to post them here when its all said and done. So once my PaB order arrived, I went straight to building the rest of my company. Here's how the group stands right now. I need a bigger lightbox! The whole company. by HatRabies, on Flickr And today I figured I'd try my hand at a quadruped for the first time. Not entirely thrilled with it, but it could have turned out worse! VX-97 Spider Ghost by HatRabies, on Flickr VX-97 Spider Ghost by HatRabies, on Flickr

    A-31 Agile Hawk/ S-31 Hawkeye (AWACS)

Do these fit a minifig? Regardless, they're brilliant. The presentation is all aces!

    MFZ Frames

Thanks for the comments, all! I'll definitely be building some more once my PaB order arrives! It sure is taking its sweet time, I'm getting antsy to start building some more! rongYIREN, those two are my favorites as well! While I love the Super Chub, it was nice to build something completely my own, as opposed to basing it off others builds. My building skills might be a bit rusty, but MFZ is definitely dusting those off a bit. I appreciate all the comments!

So I've gotten into Mobile Frame Zero recently, and have had a blast getting some actual building done. I've only churned out a few frames so far, but once a rather large PaB order comes in, I'll be making some squads. First up, the Super Chub, an obvious riff on Soren's original Chub design. Super Chub (XKR-27 Artillery Cannon equipped) by HatRabies, on Flickr Emphasis with this build was on articulation, and it manages to articulate pretty well! Super Chub (articulated feet) by HatRabies, on Flickr As seen in the first picture, I've made a few different systems for this frame. Here are a few more. Super Chub Flight Equipment by HatRabies, on Flickr A rear shot of the flight equipment. I was pretty happy with how the thrusters came together. High Mobility Unit (rear) by HatRabies, on Flickr Super Chub Siege Equipment by HatRabies, on Flickr Next up is a much smaller, more nimble frame. The Sprinting Ghost. Sprinting Ghost & Pilot by HatRabies, on Flickr Shown above in a small vignette with its pilot standing in front of it. I was definitely channeling some Macross influences with this one. SRM-79 "Sprinting Ghost" by HatRabies, on Flickr And here is an optional melee variant of the same frame. Sprinting Ghost Slasher Equipment by HatRabies, on Flickr And finally, a frame build for a challenge presented. The requirements were to use no taps, pneumatic T's, or Travis bricks. Introducing the Nightingale. RTK-7 Nightingale by HatRabies, on Flickr I hope you guys enjoy these, I've certainly had a blast building them and cannot wait to build some more!

    Monster Fighter Mods!

I was indeed trying to make them a little more gun-like. I did try to keep the dark red cones, but they weren't fitting to my liking. Regarding the Moonstones, the Mummy set has it exactly where it is in my modification of it. The Moonstone with the Swamp Creature can still go where the Creature is standing, I just like him guarding it more! I'd really like to revisit the chariot build, as I don't really like it in black. But I guess its not awful, the dark coloring at least lends itself well to this creepy theme.
  13. I do believe this is the right place to put a topic like this. If not, my sincerest apologies! I recently bought a couple Monster Fighter sets while on the hunt for Transformers. While pretty thrilled with them overall, I thought they could still use a little tweaking. Particularly the Mummy set. The Swamp Creature I was pretty happy with right out of the box. The modifications are nothing fancy, but they work for me. I'm not too keen on how the chariot came out, but I'm away from the majority of my parts, so finding pieces to make a decent looking one became a struggle. Here they are! The Mummy The Swamp Creature Pictures aren't terrific, as usual

    Small Racer Mech

DrNightmare, that does look better with the yellow tinge edited out. I also happen to know nothing about photo editing! I'll have to pester you via PM for some more pointers TenorPenny, I'm glad you like some of the stuff! Those new 1x1 rounds are so useful, and make very convincing "caps" to the assorted barrels on both vignettes.
