This is my new automated forklift. It has a much stronger lifting mechanism than my previous efforts, and has a proper two-stage (or "duplex") mast. The traction and steering are both provided by the rear wheels - I was pretty pleased at figuring out how to do that! Hope you like it! Automated forklift with dog-treat

Actually, my first attempt making an automated lift truck did indeed use a bit of string: But I wanted to have a multi-stage mast mechanism, and one that didn't use any string. I didn't have enough ratchet pieces so that was why I took the idea of the scissor lift. It went through many stages - starting off extremely complex (and extremely unreliable). In the end, I quite liked this lifting principle, even though it is a bit, er, unconventional... and, it's not actually a multi-stage mast. But I thought it was fun, and my little video was supposed to be tongue-in-cheek. Thanks for the feedback! :)

Hi, I'm new to these forums, and new to Lego mindstorms. I'm finding the PC software to be *really* slow. It takes a second or two to respond to mouseclicks, and dragging bricks around on screen is a pain because it lags so much. I have a fairly powerful laptop with an intel core i7, 8GB, 64bit Windows 10, Nvdia Geforce graphics. Everything else flies on this PC Is the software just really slow, or is there some configuration I can do?
