I started this massive project in the summer of 2014 but took a year-long hiatus to let it collect dust in my parents' house, only to finish it a year later. I had the most fun trying to fit all of the scenes I could into the buildings. It was challenging to light the whole thing, as well as finding a way to build it as tall as possible. In addition to inspiration I drew from the prequel trilogy, the Old Republic video games provided some neat ideas, mainly in the likeness of the citizens roaming the streets and a couple of the rooms. I tried to echo some of the classic visuals from Blade Runner and similar "cyber-slum" design motifs. Enjoy, leave feedback, and if you want to see more, hit that Flickr link! https://www.flickr.com/gp/124383383@N04/Y5eu42 Cheers! Finn Yours truly!

Hei! Another Finn building Star Wars MOCs. Good on you! It looks like you're covering everything I didn't. That naboo starfighter is great too!! Have you seen my coruscant MOC? http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=116481&hl= I'm really excited to see yours

B Wing Alternate Set Shown In Back of Instructions
Finnmoses replied to Ghjhero's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah, they used to put those in instruction booklets to remind you that Lego is not about following instructions. -
Kudos on digging this one up from the boneyard. Never really noticed it.

Hey Eurobricks community, My name's Finn. I'm a TFOL, born in Canada and raised in California. I lived for a year in England for an internship and was afforded the chance to tour Europe, seeking out Lego where I could find it. I recently got back in to Lego, as I'm sure many of you have, so my portfolio of MOCs is rather small. I'm not sure when I'll graduate to other disciplines of MOC building, but for now it's just Star Wars. I endeavor to build where no one has built before, but seriously, who doesn't? Here's a preview of the kind of stuff I like to build... Coruscant Full Profile by fineusscottneff, on Flickr Apart from Lego, I enjoy music on many levels, philosophy, conservation, and good beer. cheers! Finn

This is great! It all fits really nicely and it's apparent that you really paid attention to the details. I love the control center too!

That's a thing of beauty. I love the grey details on the sphere.

Just a quick one here, but in working on my new MOC, I developed a hankering to recreate the "Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One" cast photo that was released this summer. This will also serve as a sneak peak of another Star Wars MOC I am currently working on. Enjoy! Source material, in case you are unfamiliar: some deep cuts... Cheers! Finn

Hey! Thanks very much. I say do it! I keep looking at parts of this and thinking there is sooo much more potential for revision. I actually gave a subtle nod to Ziro's palace, which is a little underrepresented in the 3rd and 4th-to-last photos. I like the idea of Hutts having little throne-rooms in the underbellies of civilization. It certainly drives the worm parallel home. I'm currently building an OT moc, but I might revisit this theme in the not-too-distant future

This one was tricky as far as design is concerned, but I love the finished product. His left eye is in shadow (try blurring yours) Enjoy, Finn Smeagol by fineusscottneff, on Flickr

Aaaagghhh! Gorgeous! Everything is as UCS as it should be. Kudos!

Beautiful model! I love the angles you get with the hoses. Intelligent use of rubber bands too

Wow! I'm honored (for the isle-side homeboys). I had no idea this blog existed. Thanks very much!

[MOC]Episode VII-The Force Awakens-First Order Walker
Finnmoses replied to KevFett2011's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Wow! What a blacksheep! The MOC itself is a very faithful reproduction. The body is so... bug-like.. The legs in the photo look quite a bit more bulky, so I'm sure you could find a way to keep it up without the stand. Kudos!- 14 replies

I agree. This is a great idea. I now have 30 new OT stormtroopers with rebels legs, endor battlepack torsos, and advent calendar helmets, not to mention the three extras from the ISD and slave I. Good thread... Sneaky Lego marketing ploys. When will they give us what we want?

I guess you really can't kill ol' Ben, even if he says his name is Jan. Looks great!

Neat! Hope this isn't a spoiler for anyone.

I like all the ice! Neat variation in texture too!

Thanks! It's actually part of a Hangar which is a small part of my next project, so it's not "canonically" relevant to Rogue One. Meesa honored.. jk.. Thanks! I'm excited too! Yeah, I'm really hoping that Diego Luna's character (Left center, rear) is Biggs Darklighter, but that might be pretty far off.. Thanks!

Ha! Yeah I initially built those front walls with black, brown, and grey plates, but the compromise was SO boring, not to mention my real-estate corner cutting was blatantly obvious. I hadn't used many small pieces on the actual MOC, so I just went crazy with the greebly bits

Two whimsical lego creations that got me back into the swing of things my senior year of high school. They don't represent anything but two shoddily constructed towers which house the "bad guys" and the "good guys" Enjoy!
