DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion

Awesome. What a cool set. Did someone find this in a store?! And I think this set will be between the £130 and £160 price mark. I'm doing this on age recommendations, and original look, because 10937 was rated 12 and over, while The Tumbler was rated 16+. However, when you look at this, it doesn't look like as tricky build, nor anything huge... However this is around the same size as The Tumbler box, meaning about £160. And like I said, it doesn't look huge in terms of pieces anyway. Unless the Batmobile has a lot of pieces to it, then I'll be a bit disappointed if the set is around £160, as the Batcopter doesn't lok to have much to it either. But it's a great set nonetheless, but the price point will decide if I want this one. I want to see what the new summer sets look like more, but we wont see them for a while.

I have the 2013 Scarecrow an don't think much of him, much preferred the 06/07 look. Would be happy to see another design

I'd like to see a new variant for Robin, most of his designs are boring. But a Red Robin sounds good, but it'd require a new mould I believe.

While that's true, this is ridiculous now. It's 5 days now after it's release date, and I doubt the word 2016 DC LEGO has been uttered in any other store than LEGO. It's really p*ssing me off how I've had to wait 5-6 months since knowing these were coming out to have to wait even longer because no British retailer has got their a*s in gear. What is it? Is it not meant to be available until it's a week late or something? Very salty (angry) about the whole thing now.I mean, look at both American versions of both Amazon and TRU. All 3 sets are on both teh American sites. But here? Nope. I don't even know why I'm surprised. We always get things late. Gotham's past it's mid-season finale in America and S2 hasn't even started here, and all the CW shows are a week later here and everything else you can damn think of is usually later here. I like the UK, but this is one of its biggest push factors.

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion

I genuinely think England is in some form of LEGO vortex. No supermarket, toy store, Argos or even Amazon has the new sets listed. It's ridiculous now. It's the 5th of January and none of the sets have been added to the websites, and I not living in a city with a Toys 'R' Us, Smyths or LEGO Store round the corner is really causing a problem. Should've just ordered the set off S@H on New Years Day, it'd be here by now.

Wasn't keen on Nightwing's appearance in Man-Bat Attack. My Arkham Skin knowledge tells me that is based off the New 52, and I wasn't keen on it. I'd like to see the return of blue bird-boy. Wait, speaking of which, could Nightwing be in one of these sets? The sets are both Batman, and are $70 and $90/$130, which leaves a lot of space for a few Bat-Family figs. I'm expectign Robin, maybe Batgirl? I really hope we see Nightwing in one of the sets, I think he'd be better suited in the Croc set, but that's just my opinion.

I'm still waiting on a Ra's Al Ghul. I'd prefer his design to be based off his Arkham Series appearance, as I didn't like his design in LB2, nor his LB3 TDK pack variant. Especially if they did arm printing of his weird light-up tattoos, that would be awesome. I'd happily see a new Two-Face, as I don't like toe Orange-Purple look. I don't know where they got that from. Hope to see the standard Black-White Two-Face next time he pops up. I still feel cheated with that Mr Freeze figure. An Arkham-based Freeze isn't complete without the red goggles.

I don't like how any of the characters for SS are designed other than Harley. Personally I'm glad we aren't getting any sets, I'm not a fan of movie sets. Only the Dark Knight ones have been really cool from the DC line.

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion

Probably. People seem to be coming more and more obsessed with the big figs, and find them much cooler than regular figs. As much as I like the Arkham Series (HUGE FAN HERE), I don't really like his design. I'd really prefer them to keep it minifig-scale with Croc. Big-figs aren't always needed with some figures, and Croc is one of those. And Commish, I can really tell you like our friend Grundy. I like Reverse-Flash, just what a guy that is. Hopefully that isn't it for the Summer Wave, because more Bat-goodness would be great. All but one of the comic-based (non-movie) sets are pretty pricey, which is annoying, because I can't spend all my pennies on LEGO. And please say I'm not the only one who's done this. I've got some sticky pads and stuck minifig stands to my wall. Then I can put my favourite minfigs on my wall. Like a wall of fame I guess, which I put my most bad-megablocks and rare figures on. At the moment I've got The Trickster, Martian Manhunter (76040) and Brainiac, with my Tumber minifigs on it's little display stand on my bedside table, otherwise they'd be up there. Anyone else got this? Or at least a special display stand or something? As was The Penguin from the 2014 set (76010).

Unlikely Actor Builder, it'll probably keep going up in value over the years. Now that a new Croc will be out, it's likely its value will sky-rocket over time, and will be a vintage figure in a few years, perhaps worth hundreds. So if you're one who likes selling things on then I'd hold on to it for now, as I can see that figure being in higher demand so it's vintage aspects (no back printing, other minor features, perhaps only minifig-scale Croc etc.) may make this figure one valuable piece in a couple of years. Like the 2013 Scarecrow if they do a new variant.

Asda? Well I'll be sure to take a look there sometime soon, but my Asda don't sell a lot of LEGO. I'm surprised Argos doesn't have it up yet, I really want that little set, and Argos is usually quick on the ball with these things.

Where'd you pick it up from JaHawk2009? A LEGO Store or a normal retailer... If it's a normal retailer... which one?!?! I need an Armored Batman.

I wouldn't be too keen on a $130 price point. That translates I believe to £100-£110 here in the UK, which is a bit much for me. I'd only buy it if the figs and build are worth it. Most sets I usually buy for it being Batman and looking cool, but that's a bit too far. I can see a big fig version of him as well, which as much as I want it, I wouldn't mind a standard 1:1 figure, reminiscent of its 2006 counterpart. On the topic of the Mighty Micros, that Bane fig also has the ring of a BTAS base, like Batman and on reflection, Robin too.

I mean Grundy would fit better in a Scarecrow Set but would feel better in the Croc set. He's an undead zombie, I doubt he'd be living in a barn

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion

Wow! These sets sound awesome. I'm more pumped for the Croc set with just the set names because I already have Scarecrow, but if they do a new variant (Arkham Series? PLEASE?!) it'll be top of the list. I'm hoping for some good figs in these sets, as more Batman like THAT is amazing. I'm hoping for some new figs in these, especially the Scarecrow Set. Hopefully Joker and Harley aren't in any of these, as chances are we'll get a Joker in 76052 and Harley's in 76053. Hoping like someone else said for Grundy, which would suit the Croc set, and maybe a new character of some form for Scarecrow. If they based the figs of Arkham Knight (being his most recent major appearance I believe) then I'm down for that set straight away. If anyone played Batman: Arkham Asylum, then you'll remember the sewer part. I'd love to see them base it off that, but add some figs to suit the set, so Robin, maybe 3 villains (including Croc) and a goon? Then for Scarecrow, I'd expect like Winter Soldier said above some form of farmhouse and crop-duster, obviously laced with traps and the Crop-duster with some cool functions, maybe like the old Biplane from 2007, and the farmhouse maybe a bit like the Funhouse Escape set with all the traps and functions. Like a drop down Scythe or a door that opens that has fear gas canisters on them drop down. But I really hope they don't re-use villains like The Joker, Harley and some other villains we've seen a couple of times. With these Batman sets I'd like to see barely used/new characters to add to the ever growing collection of rogues. We're getting Deadshot this year and had ol' Slade last year in 76034. And when do you think we'll see these sets? NY Toy Fair? I remember seeing images for 76034 and 76035 last year around mid-late January and the sets were available to look at during the NY Toy Fair in February. Would like to see them then. I'm okay with small waves at Summer, as long as the sets are good and include great figs. And thanks J2G for the news.

Not confirmed, but if you're doing a 66' Batcave then you have to put at least the 3 'good guys' in. I expect Batgirl to be in it as well.

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion

So are LEGO retiring some of the 2015 sets as well? Because on UK S@H the new 2016 sets are available but all the 2014 sets are all retiring (as expected), as well as the UCS Tumbler, which hasn't actually had 2 years yet, being the summer set basically of 2014. On the website, 76040 (Brainiac Attack), 76027 (Black Manta Deep Sea Strike) and 76028 (Darkseid Invasion) have all been completely removed form S@H. Has there been a glitch or are these sets genuinely retiring? 76034 and 76035 (the two summer sets) are still available though.

Probably this month if it is being released for VIP's on the 17th. I imagine we'll get some news on the build on figs soon and some images maybe early next month.

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion

Since when was Brainiac Attack retired? It was only released last year. It now says retired product on S@H. I can see 3 of the 4 minifigs in that set being very high in value in the coming years (if they aren't re-released in a set in a few years)

The Bane fig actually reminds me of Knightfall Bane, which might look better with the proper (well, serious) figure from 2012's torso.

Wait so are the new BvS sets not meant to be out for retailers until the 3rd?

DC Superheroes 2016 - Rumors and Discussion

Armored Batman will be one of those figures that'll be a one off and worth a ton in a couple of years. I'll be getting a second of this set, as I imagine the set will be worth a lot in the coming years not just because of the figs but because of the Kryptonite piece and the BvS Batsignal printed piece.

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

Damn, looks like I'll have to get the Death Star set once I've got enough after covering the costs of the new DC wave. Anyway, has anyone seen any of the new Star Wars sets up in the UK yet (other than S@H)?

LEGO Star Wars 2016 Pictures and Rumors

Sorry, I'm new to this part of EuroBricks, so sorry if I'm butting in. But the new Takodana set is very cool, and worth every penny, which also includes the face and hair variant of Kylo Ren, a figure I can see becoming pretty rare in the coming years. Also, has there been any 2016 summer/spring rumours? I've been waiting on a cheap-ish set with Darth Vader in for a while now, but there hasn't been one in a few years. I'm really thinking of buying the 2015 Final Duel set, but £70 is a bit steep for my liking. Anyone got any rumours?
