Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
lostdriveway replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
I like it - but with some saying it lacks wow factor I agree and I think that is because the buildings next to it are taller. Definitely think it needs another level or 2 and it would make a huge difference in appearance (but also price). I am also a little bummed with the Dino skeleton. Think it could be bigger / better as well. Will work on that. -

As I’ve said earlier - my thoughts are it is a Dec 1 release because the Orient Express will be delayed until Jan 1 -

Well I did mention a couple of weeks ago it could be a December release... we will see I guess -
I'm picking a December release now - got to get it out for Christmas.

I know the modular release has been ingrained in a Jan 1 release since forever but I'm still of the opinion its going to be earlier - possibly Nov or Dec. -

My guess is the early reveal means early release - most likely December. Which could mean the Orient Express delayed until January. -
It is possible - I've heard that it may be delayed until December / January and the Modular may be released sooner but all speculation until Lego makes the announcement.

With a big piece count we could only hope for something like a hospital, museum or library -
One of the posts I just read on BrickFanatics stated it works on brick built track which to me indicates is not going to work on regular Lego track. So hopefully we will get some indication soon. Looking at the pictures I’m guessing 8wide minimum.

Hi everyone, My latest build has finally had its first public appearance - Octan Raceway - Top Fuel edition.. I built this last year to be shown at Brisbricks Chandler Show - but due to COVID it was cancelled the day before the event happened. So it sat in plastic tubs until this weekend just gone when it had its first public appearance. Its 7 baseplates long by 3 baseplates deep sitting on 1 table. I modified a version of the Speed Champions Top Fuel car to have a cage (more popular here in Australia then the dome lid) and also added flashing lights and flames to the cars. (There's a video on TikTok if you want to see it all flashing - search Octan Raceway or StewBricks) I incorporated an iPad as a video screen to show what Top Fuel is for the kids and it was running loops of the 2019 and 2020 Winternats which is the biggest drag racing event in the world outside of America. It will get displayed again this weekend before being dismantled for my next build. Thanks I tried to get as much of that detail in as possible. The lights was a hard one - I actually wanted to have them running in a sequence but ran out of time so just decided to have them all lit up. Really on a Pro Tree it would just be the green lights on if it was a clean start.

Definitely one of the best Lego "companies" they have created!

Looks like the loops are different as well - one is more tear drop and the other rounder. First one being tear drop should give it more speed going into second loop

I wonder if the instructions will have options to build additional scenes for a 2nd or 3rd coach?
-
Just read the write up from Promobricks - honestly it sounds amazing - can't wait to finally see some photos - and will probably be the most expensive lego set I have ever bought

I should have read further up before posting.. haha

I'm going to be building a layout for our upcoming show in September and was thinking of doing something similar to yours. I'll build my base, elevations and mountains out of ply and cover from there, eliminating the need for too many extra bricks. Look forward to seeing more as you progress!

Have loved your build so far! Any further updates 6 months down the track?

Hi all - I'm building a drag strip / raceway for a upcoming lego show. Does anyone have any logo's of Lego businesses? I've got a couple like Octan etc but would like more to use as sponsors around the track. Also if anyone has any good high res copies of the Octan logo and wouldn't mind sharing that would be great! I'll add photo's to the thread once I'm ready to show the display. Cheers

So I've started working on a modular zoo. Something I've been thinking of doing for a while now but it was never the right time. Part 1: Bear Enclosure (inspiration taken from a design I found while searching online) Just waiting for a BrickLink order for a couple more parts and it will be finished. Hopefully then I can take some better photos. More enclosures to come! Thanks for looking

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 19 Rumors, Speculation and Discussion
lostdriveway replied to Anonknee Muss's topic in Special LEGO Themes
I believe the original leaflet has 3 x 16 across the top and the person that has posted the flyer has changed them to 16, 17, 18 as a watermark so he knows who has shared his image. (My understanding from a Facebook post) -
Looks awesome good job!

Hi folks, I would like to share with you my newest Roller Coaster "DIGGER". It was displayed this weekend at the BrisBricks Morayfield Brick Expo and will be displayed later again this year at Chandler. The coaster uses the CDX Blocks track and everything else is LEGO. You can see more on my Instagram page @brickcoaster and @stewbricks Video at the end.
