  1. It's awesome how much effort you put in the reviews. Thank you
  2. That's awesome, i live nearby Gaggenau. There's a testing field we sometimes go to race our RC cars But now back on Topic: With the black curved panels of the fenders from 42070 we might soon be able to build an all black Porsche GT3 RS . Here a small reminder how this might look:
  3. Ah, i never saw the third suspension arm. Thanks It's hard to decide this with just one review without having the set. In my eyes they're completely different. Seeing them as a parts pack: 42069 is for vehicles with suspension and looks. 42054 is for machines with somewhat complex functions.
  4. Thanks for this review, it was justified to stay awake that long This set really takes the cake: the suspension, the compactness, the visual details, seats that are not blue, even suspending the bogies from small turntables releases stress from the driving axles! For me, this definitely is the spiritual successor to 8466, down to the two-parted doors. How is the rear axle suspended? From what i could see, there still should be a degree of freedom to sway left to right. Does it have a panhard rod?
  5. I understand. I thought that it might be improbable that both rear axles will lose grip. Anyway, thanks for this short lecture on diff locking, i quite enjoyed it
  6. I understand the 2wd / 3wd argument. But isn't it far more probable that one wheel on one axle looses contact than one whole axle loosing contact? I've got to admit, i completely forgot about steering
  7. Question: Wouldn't it be enough to lock the front differential to get quite a lot more truck trial capability?
  8. Great review, as always. I really like your reviews because they show the fun of building. I'll definitely try to rebuild it with my parts, the gearbox really got me interested.
  9. Thanks for clearing that up, i obviously translated poorly Those CV-joints are necessary because the driveshaft varies in length when the suspension is active. As far as i know part 32494 is the only coupling allowing axial movement without friction.
  10. Seems pendular on both axes to me: Yeah, that's currently the only thing bothering me. It's easy to mod a diff out of vehicle, not so much the other way round...
  11. Thanks, those are very interesting. I don't know why, but until now i thought 42069 had an independent suspension
  12. This is great. I really like builds in this scale and i dig the orange Why didn't you put the door in the back of the tipper bed on frictionless pins?
  13. Thanks for the review, it was a pleasure to watch, as always As others said some pictures of the gearbox would have been great, it seems TLG cared for the driving function to have a small number of gears between the motor and wheels which doesn't seem that easy considering the complexity of the gearbox. Also what do you think about a "Modability" rating? After your video i really want to build the truck without diffs and with some kind of suspension in the last axle
  14. Can you guesstimate how long this will take? I'm really on the fence of waiting or going to sleep
  15. I just tested it, both driving rings seem to work on my differentials.
  16. Yeah, i wasn't sure about it either, that's why i posted the reddit discussion about the leaked pictures. Let's see what the mods have to say
  17. @Jim, @Sariel, have you arranged it so sariel starts with 42070 and Jim with 42069?
  18. Which seems to be the standard practice of governments these days (Sorry for OT but i couldn't resist)
  19. The recently leaked Star Wars buildable Figure 75529 seems to be another source for red #3 connectors. If i remember correctly there is quite a high demand for this part, right?
  20. exactly. Sorry i didn't point that out in my post. For me personally, 42069 is the next in line of 8466, 8297, and 9398 (i'm still bummed out that i didn't get the last two)
  21. Good find! But here's the confirmation that 42069 has no middle differential Well, i guess there's some modding to be done
  22. "Thank you for your vote" message and the poll disappears
  23. "Show Results" only works when i open it in a new tab [EDIT:] Maybe it's a browser related issue? I'm using Firefox...
