LEGO Star Wars 2011 Pictures & Rumors

I saw that too, it makes the droid look kinda awkward... I hope it's just a preliminary goof up. I'd have too disagree. In fact, I'd like to replace all of my old R2s (and R-whatever(s)) with the updated versions. The head has much more printing than the old ones, though the body remains the same (on the OT/PT ones). I think you're confusing them with the TCW ones which have less detailing on the head/body and have a darker head. This is so it fits with the cartoon-ish style of the rest of the TCW figures which it does rather well IMO. New OT/PT, New TCW, and the old R2s. (couldn't find normal R2 so it's the serving tray version). IMO, there's a clear difference in detailing. The new ones look way better.

    [MOC][WIP] X-wing version 9

Now I'm no expert on the x-wing, but I thought (along with many others as well) that marshal_banana's x-wing was the best/sleekest. From what I can see from the WIP pics, your heading in the right direction. I'm not sure I love the black colored gun base-tips (R2 bodies), but the white looks fine. It might be just me, but the black is a bit strong and stands out in that location. I can't wait for the final product! Good work!

    Clone Wars Y-wing project

These look amazing! I loved the dark red in the Zillo Beast Episode and it looks spectacular in Lego! Are you going to include the special bomb thing on the red y-wing (leader)? Spoiler is for the big image of the bomb: There is another image of it attached to the y-wing (also shows the detailing on the underside of the fighters) on the 11th pic in the first slideshow if the episode guide if you were interested. Can't wait to see more pics, they look great! Great work!

LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars

I haven't seen Jabba, but there have been plenty of the other characters that you mentioned. There are some new achievements as well: There's probably more, but that's all I've discovered (that are new, not including the old one because I believe that those were posted a while back...). Hope this helps!

LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars

I know this doesn't really pertain to the game, but I saw someone as Greedo on the official site and am currently trying to figure out his code. If I figure it out I will post it here, if someone has already figured it out please share...

Though I can't seem to find the link on the website, I happen to have it bookmarked, so here's the Link! It's being updated every couple of days with new minifigs, so keep checking to see thier Bios and new images.

LEGO Star Wars 2011 Pictures & Rumors

Hoorayfor pics! This looks pretty similar to the old one without too many obvious improvements. I nice that we get an okay doriodeka, but it's not great. I think I'll have to pass on this set anyway. By the way does anyone else think that the blue cart had flick-fire missiles? I think that I see them, but I hope that I'm mistaken. Why does a work cart need missiles?? Lego will always find a way to get them into a set...

LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars

Yeah, they're always trying to make iconic things, but they usually fail. There have been several good episodes (a lot actually IMO), but mostly because of the story and action. They have used an actual rancor or two in their episodes, though it's blue, on Felucia and called a "Jungle Rancor". It's in the Bounty Hunters episode and in a deleted scene from TCW movie.

LEGO Star Wars III: The Clone Wars

It's Gor from the Lair of Grievous Episode. Gor is a male roggwort. He was basically Grievous' pet/companion in his secret lair... he really just is some monster that TCW made up. He looks interesting, IMO. Not the fiercest thing though...Grievous is scarier.

   Hilarious Oky! The joke was a groaner (with a few true laughs though), and the foreshadowing bit was great! It's a bit subtle which makes it all the more funny when you see it! How do you guys keep coming up with ingenious and funny idea?!?! Keep up the great work people, this is one of my favorite threads! My question is: why hasn't the themed comic thread idea sprung up in other themes?? (unless it has and I just haven't seen it...)

    Harry Potter 2011 Discussion

With the the new pics, I now see that the shrunken head in the Knight Bus is disappointing as is the chandelier. They did the same thing with Davy Jones' heart in the POTC sets. Ahh well, at least the reat of the set as well as the others look great. Can't wait for their release!!

General Pirates of the Caribbean Theme Discussion Thread

Ohh yes, I'm pretty sure that POTC has a large enough fan base that overlaps with the Lego target age to create ample sales. The sets look great, for parts or for...well whatever you do with Lego; play, collect, display, etc. The minifigures and new parts are what really make these special (though I LOVE POTC, so i suppose that I'm a bit biased). What's puzzeling to me, is that (dare I say the accursed name, no, better play it safe...) Mega BLEEP(s) did a whole POTC thing for At Worlds End, so where does that leave buyers? (besides the fact that they should repurchase sets from Lego for it's superior quality and should never have patronized Mega-who-must-not-be-named in the first place) By the way, does Eurobricks have a name for what I mentioned above (the competitor for Lego)? I've only heard it used in the place of a swearword by members, so... Well, if not, I'll just keep making up my own (though someone probably thought them up already without me knowing it). Can't wait for the sets to come out, as well as the game and On Stranger Tides.
  13. By biggest concern is that because Ahsoka will be growing throughout the show's seasons, her headtails/montrals (whichever, I can't seem to remember the difference...) grow. Unfortunately, Lego probably wont update them as they are similar enough, but still you can see the difference in the show. I really hope that they do update her and Obi-Wan (with back printing, fingers crossed). Random Fact: Apparently, there were three different versions of the "Citadel Rescue" ending. In the commentary on StarWars.com, Filoni only mentions two. The one used and the original one, where Tarkin kills Osi Sobeck when he is unarmed and pleading for his life. This was then cut for obvious reasons. On the Season Finale: Wookiees, Trandoshans, the Wolfpack, Oh My! Looks like a great episode, it's too bad it doesn't air until April 1st, and then, even more saddening, the season will be over. The show keeps getting better each season! I really hope that this trend continues as characters develop as well as the sophistication of plot lines and battles/effects. They are headed in the right direction and are one of the best animated shows on the air IMO. Bring on season 4!!
  14. Wow... I feel really stupid now. I totally spaced out about that. How silly of me. That was really obvious. Yay! Master Tiin finally got a line or two! Hope to see more of him. Wow, two huge losses over the course of one episode arc (Echo and Piell) that's pretty significant. I hope you "more republic losses" people are happy. Though I agree that the Republic should have more significant losses, it was still quite sad to see Even Piell go. I was really hoping to see him more, he was pretty cool as was Echo... I really hope Ahsoka's next Lego model will have the arm and leg prints/bands (though I'm not sure she'll get them) and maybe two lightsabers (one with the new shorter blade that we see in the Minifigure series with the old neon green color [the new one is darker letting us use this one for yellow, unless Lego is so inclined to give us a true yellow]) That would make my day as her new outfit is so much better than the old one.
  15. I just read on StarWars.com in the episode guide that the Citadel Challenge in "Clone Cadets" is named after the Citadel in this trilogy. Does this happen before or after "Clone Cadets". The costume change says after, but if they constructed the Citadel challenge after the Citadel, then where would they have gotten the info from? It would make more sense to model it after the escape, but according to the costumes, the escape happened later. Any thoughts on this?
  16. Just to confirm everyone's thoughts, the episode guide did say that Tiin's starfighter was a recolored version of Ahsoka's and Adi Gallia's was a red version of Plo Koon's. (It would seem as though TCW designers are getting a little lazy, they still look cool though) This spoiler is for the pictures of the starfighters while the 2nd is a real spoiler if you have yet to see "Citadel Rescue" Overall though, it was a good episode arc. Can't wait for the season finale! Chewie! We shall see how they pull this off...

I know that this pic is from a while ago, but I just noticed that the 2nd soldier has yellow hands. Anyone know why? It's quite curious... Great pics by the way. Can't wait for the actual sets (and game) to come out!

Actually, they're Pantorans from Pantora, where as in Avatar, they are Pandorans from Pandora. These are hilarious comics by the way guys, great ideas and keep up the amazing work. I always get a good laugh when I check this topic. Great Job!

    ?

Well, this is completely baffling... I figured that I'd check to see whether any further hints were dropped elsewhere, and, as it turns out, I Scream Clone has this posted on his Flickr page. Reading the comments, I realize he has made a fatal error and revealed the answer to be 42! No, actually it means nothing, but he does confirm that it's a contest...with the biggest prize pools ever!!! I'd recommend checking that out for further clues at a some point. Also, he hopes that the story will unfold by this weekend, so not long for us to wait... I really think that the "Choose Your Own Adventure" idea would be really cool, but I'm clueless. Only thing that I can deduce is an Adventure themed contest. Further specifics may be: Color restrictions (ie: the Dark red, light blue, and tan), or maybe location restrictions (ie: sand, water, errrr...not sure what the red would be in this case though...) Lots of Mystery surrounding this topic... Can't wait to find out what it really means...

Star Wars: OT vs. PT vs. TCW

YES!! The intricacy is exactly what makes the PT so great. Everything slots together and you see the huge effort and planning it took to get Anakin to join the Sith. OT appeals to your emotions more, but lacks the complexity of the PT. This is why I stand firm in my opinion that PT and OT are one story, you can't say "oh, PT sucks and should have never been made" (I don't think anyone actually said that, but I'm getting that kind of vibe from many people) they are linked and, yes I suppose they both could stand alone (OT more so), and together they can rule the Galaxy as father and son! No, but seriously, it's all Star Wars and it's what makes it great. On a separate note, I feel that I can't add my vote to the poll because I can't say PT or OT. Can't we have a category for both? (This does not include TCW as it is far from the awesomeness of the OT and PT trilogies AKA Star Wars! That being said, I still believe that it is a good and entertaining show that tells a decent story so please don't put it down it too much.)
  21. I know you didn't ask me, but I was curious and did some research. I looked for images of Venators from the '03 series and it looks as if all of them are gray bridged and have five stripes. (Please correct me if I'm wrong though. I have not seen the '03 series and found the pics through Wookieepedia) Here's some pics: Impavid Below the ship Space Battle Also, I think they're gray and 5-striped in ROTS as well...

    2012 Box Design Just Revealed

All it says is that he goes on a quest to find Maul, nothing about actually finding him alive (though going on a quest for a dead person would be kinda boring...so maybe he'll have to be alive for that to work out...) Also, The Legonator has a point, he's just a graphics designer though he obviously has to know what's coming next year to make a box design that works, so I suppose that it's possible that he's seen clips, but I've no idea.
  23. Yes, the Venators from TCW do have red bridges, but those are only supposed to be the command ships or flagships. The rest are gray. The Resolute, Anakin's flagship had a red bridge for example. Some reference pics from the show: Venator at Christophsis Storm over Ryloth There's more but those are decent.

LEGO Star Wars 2011 Pictures & Rumors

I just checked Brickset and all it had was the set number and name. It says "this set has not been released" and that is all (besides random people posting what they want to be in the set), so I'm not sure how reliable this info is regrettably.

LEGO Star Wars 2011 Pictures & Rumors

Hello 97chippy and welcome! Though I don't really want to burst your bubble, I must say that we have plenty of images from the recent toy fair. Most of the video uses those pics or ones that came before and are therefore even more preliminary. FBTB has a bunch of the newer images that we've been seeing lately, if you want to check them out.
