To anyone who was offended by my Twilight comment, I apologize. It was a joke. Most of the girls I know around our area are so into vampires... slap a picture of Edward onto a turd and it will sell. lol. In all seriousness, we have two daughters. Our oldest was straight up girly when she was little. She liked Barbie, arts and crafts, and dress up. Our youngest liked matchbox cars, lego, and a hint of girly with Bratz dolls. I guess you could get a child to play with just about anything if you're playing with them. Like someone else mentioned, kids even like housework if they are spending time with mom or dad. It's what they play with when they are alone that is their real personal interest.

If they really want to get some girls into Lego... Twilight theme! lol

This happened to me with a PSP Go... there was a damaged Go in the box but the serial number did not match the box. I returned it and asked to talk to a manager. He couldn't have cared less. I hate spending money on something that should be new only to find out at home that it's been used.

I'm brand new to bricklink also. Just placed my first order a week or two ago and had a great experience. I had my design I made in LDD and after going through my bricks and sorting out what I all ready had, I ordered the rest of the bricks I needed to finish. I imagine this is how my future ordering habits will go as well.

If friends and family give us a hard time about being nerds in a playful way, that doesn't bother me. However, if it was said with malicious intent, that would tick me off. I think criticism stems from a bit of jealousy. Normally the people who feel the need to crack on someone else have nothing better in their own life to occupy their brain. My husband always told our kids to "Be nice to the nerds at school because someday they will sign your paycheck!" I always thought that was cute.

We have ours set up in our china closet right now, but our collection is tiny at the moment. Eventually, when we have a house with space to allow it, we'd like to set up a town and trains that we can leave set up all the time on a table... or multiple tables... in it's very own LEGO room... Oh yeah!

Our minpin normally ignores our LEGOs... but she hates the trains! When we run the train on the floor she runs from it when it's going towards her, then once it's past her she barks at it and tries to bite it.

Ours was 6636 the Command Post Central. My daughter played with that set heavily through her childhood. We are missing about half the bricks to the set now, so we made a smaller police station out of it. Our first complete set since our new found LEGO love is the 7641 City Corner.

Sorry for taking it as rude ceroknight. :( Under the VIP faqs it says if your points don't show up with in 24 hours of payment (when your order ships), to contact support. If they are aware of the points issues and working on it, a little blurb somewhere on the site would help cut down on emails and phone calls. :) Edit to update: My VIP account was fixed today!

Ok look... sorry! Was just saying that I have NEVER had my points go to my VIP... EVER. lol. I have called and emailed about it and they manually added my first set of points and said the rest of my points would be there in a day or two, which NEVER happened. That was weeks ago. I just want my points without having to call and be on hold forever to get them. How long do you suggest I wait? A month? Two? Longer? I'm not bashing Lego. Was just taking part in the conversation. I'll go back to lurking now... lol

Well... it's been weeks since my second order. I just shot off another email to support. :)

My problem is getting points at all! I've ordered three times from shop at home and no points have EVER gone onto my VIP account. I called about my first order and the guy on the phone added my 299 points. Great... he said my 30 points from my second order would be showing up in a day or two which never happened. I just ordered a third time yesterday and nope... no points yet. Guess I should call again and see what's up.

My 14 year old daughter and I just recently got her old Legos out of the garage. Then we ordered the Emerald Night and motorized it with PF. Now, we are hooked! We actually told everyone that we are working on building a train town and asked for Lego for Christmas... but we received zero Lego. lol. It's not a secret for us and we will try again next year when everyone asks what we'd like for Christmas. :D
