[Software] Blueprint, a building instruction generator for LDD
newfie675 replied to msx80's topic in Digital LEGO: Tools, Techniques, and Projects
I just tried to combine a PDF generated by blueprint and several other PDF's generated by various methods and did not have any problems. Can you send me your file and I will try to merge it using Acrobat Pro? Newfie675 -
I lost interest in my teenage years when it was not "cool" to play with Lego. At that age it is so easy to bow to peer pressure. My son was given a Star Wars set for his birthday a few years back. He got hooked and pulled me in, now when we get a new set I don't know who is more excited.

Bricklinking pieces vs buying a whole set

I usually buy used sets to make some of the more expensive sets (i.e. Death Star II). That way I can BL it for much less than the cost in bricks even with some of the expensive parts. If you buy cheaper sets that contain some of the parts then sell the remaining parts off on BL then it gets cheaper still. The only caveat is that you have to be diligent in selling the left over parts. -
What's your budget for lego and how do you keep them?

My wife complains constantly about my ever growing lego collection. My defense is that the Lego is not costing my any money. I buy from kijiji and sell what I don't "need". Funny thing is that before I get it catalogued and reposted either my son or I discover we need almost everything. What does get posted usually pays for the next lot I purchase. -
I troll kijiji in Canada for large lego lots. Sometimes you can find some rare sets. Usually by looking up a few of the really unusual pieces you can get an idea of the sets in the lot

This is a great software package, but a Mac version would be perfect for me (EL Capitan). I tried using it in Virtualbox with Windows XP and 7 but they don't have the the OpenGL drivers. I does work on my kids windows 10 machine, but I really do not like Windows. If you need a tester for Mac I would be glad to help. -
