I just love the vibe of this MOC. Many people think's its a bad idea building WWII dioramas. However its part of our history and should never be forgotten. There is a lot of nice details here. Surely a lovely diorama !

"LEGO Ruins Creativity"... Again
KlodsBrik replied to PicnicBasketSam's topic in General LEGO Discussion
Parenting ruins the creativity with LEGO as well as every other toy. It takes a creative parent to make one's kids think about how to incorporate the block's into one's game, play or how it's expressed. Yeah, get a set , use the instructions to build it. That's it, if one is not showen how many other opportunities it offers. Dont blame LEGO .... Blame someone else .... Let's kill Hitler ! -
Thanks a lot. This build is growing on me. Yeah the cow is a pitty. It just felt rigt to use it for something to show the lift worked as i havent got any "real" train builds ready yet. Oh my. Now I cant see anything but JP in this. To top it as I read the post, Jurassic park 3 was showing on telly. Now, i don't own any raptor's, but im the progrss of making some MOC's build on the books of David Gerrold "War against the Cthhoor", a classic sci-fi novel based on invasion of earth ... Now the cow is definately gonna be fed to the worms in an upcoming build. No new pictures yet. I could have shot them, but Iv'e changed so much with the build already that im gonna wait some more. Thanks for the comments. Always appreciated. KlodsBrik.

Thanks. The set is great even though some of the wagons are blend. The part selection is overwhelming, even the price considered. I totally agree. But It's quite easy to mod it all for the better if one have a lot of spareparts offcourse. Youre welcome. As there weren't any review of it here on EB I could just as well make one. That's a pretty nice mod as well. Mine is not gonna last to long. Making a mod of it just for the cause of this review, then take it apart for new moc's to come. The cargo station is alredy gone as you might have worked out.

Another great ship from you. Looking at MOC's this scale always makes me wish I had the funds to do something similar. This is just a gorgeous piece of art. Well done !

Don't be imbarresed. All idea's and further development of whatever "theme" or whatever, mostly always comes from someone else idea's .... And indeed you do tribute him ... You developed your own impression of how you like it, or what you can accomplish with what is at hand. Im sure people here do see that, and they love what you have done even though you feel its just a copy of someone's else work. Well its not ... Legally it wont be a probslem till you start claiming it and try to make money of it. Thats where the passion of what you are doing stops. oy But thats not what you are doing. You loved what he did and builded from that point. Keep building just as all of the rest of us. There is no shame in getting inspired from someone else work and develop it to ones own joy. This is LEGO. This is what we love. Keep brickin and enjoy every second of it like the rest of us. You have still made a great train ... Well, a mile long one ! -
This is quite a usefull post. Gave me lot's of ideas as how to make some buffer's myself for my first train MOC of 60052. Darn, im turning into a train nerd myself. Have to go outside and explore the danish train layout of the whole country to get ideas !

OMFG ! That's stunning ! The size the details, the shape. The whole of the build. I will be looking at this for hours and hours to come ! Very well done !

What a gorgeous display. The vintage figures fits in perfectly. A lot of nice scenes to be disvovered here. Awesome build indeed !
-
Gorgeous .... Im not having words to describe it by now. Can't wait to se what interir you've come up with. A masterpiece so far indeed !

This is just gorgeos and real life looking. That build must be huge. I love it !

Hahaha ... Awesome . Glad to hear that that's how the basepalte looked like after you tried cleaning it. At first my mind was thinking up a scenario where a dad found his kid fooling around with his AFOL collection, and then the baseplate was used to punish him by beheading. (That's how Will Ferrel would have had it in the LEGO movie if he was in full charge im sure ! )

It's looking quite good. I however would suggest to remove the orange slopes and change them to a more neutral color, as they seem to distract your otherwise great little train.

Thanks, both of you. bricks n bolts' ... Wooow , thats a great mod. I own that big yellow piece in red.I want to make the overhead cran a big taller to have space enough to lift the Maesk 1651 container. I had to look through for it wishing it was taller than the original set. And it is. Now thats a MOD I have to incorporate in my set indeed. Thanks for the picture. Much helpfull. Yeah, that farmer duesnt make sense. Atl east not when the pictures show him along with the cattle in the train wagon. If it was only to have him pick up the cow at the station it would have been fine. Im also hoping to get it with discount the next time I have a chance to pick it up. However i might have to pick up some of the older train sets first. However they seem quite hard to get at a resonable price in Denmark these days. Thats not a bad idea at all. It's not like the grey plates thakes anything from it. Looking great I think. I soo have to MOD mine as well, have a thousand ideas, but going forward slowly. The whole train Tech is new to me. Which is kind of lovely. As I have to think much diffrerent and use other pieces than im used to. Its great building trains indeed. Thanks for getting me involved with this !

Its looking really cool. Looking forward to seeing it made with bricks indeed. The shapes are really working well together. Well done !

Really nice. Love the idea with slopes for making the dress look as if the woman is moving. -
Are power function parts allowed, guessing mindstorm parts falls under this same category ? Sounds like a great contest !

Sorry for the late reply. Been dead busy with work. No. I'm not a member og Byggepladen ( yet ). Iv'e been wanting to join up for some year's. However never gotten to it. This year's LEGO Copenhagen, had me convinced to join in however. Still just need to get it done. I just recieved my 60052 yesterday and begun making a review of it. Iv'e never been into trains, but this set has blowen my mind so far. This is gonna be an expensive hobby. Thanks for the advices as im gonna have to spend serious money in the future, not just to expand my collection, but also have to rebuild my apartment to make a train layout that doesn't have to be removed. I have no clue as how to do this just yet. I still have so much to learn about the PF. The Sbrick sound like a solid solution. But hey, when my review is up, all you train masters will have to correct me, and teach me about all the stuff that Iv'e gotten wrong within it. Thanks for making me a train nerd too. This is so fun !

Thanks to both of you. Ive always loved brickbuild backgrounds whenever possible. But they swollow up bricks like nothing else, easy as it seems. And then I started to look more into how most people here photograph their build's, and edit them with white background's. However, to me, some builds just need's a brickbuild background to add that extra. Thanks for appreciating it. -
Dammit ..... I have a friend working for LEGO. Its not like the person is leaking anything just to get a rush. The person just loves LEGO just as we do. Im on a closed group on IRC where these pictures was leaked to a trusted group of people. 3 days ago this person told us that it would be leaked. I've been dead busy and tied up with work, so when i read CM4Sci's post I just assumed the pictures was out. Eventually turnes out that it would be to obvious where these pictures was taken and by whom, so no public release of these yet. Sorry guys. This person is a friend of mine. Can't tell, can't do.
