  1. Swoon! This might end up being my favorite CMF series ever, I think. And we've only seen half of it! Now, just give me Saturn Girl and Doctor Fate. They can hang on to Red Tornado for Series 2, if they need. I'll also second the desire for an OG Raven figure.

I'd bet $50 that we're going to get a first appearance-style Superman. It's too perfect a paring to ignore.

Again, I know nothing about the CMF that others don't already know.

And I was also unaware of the mini-Keatonmobile. Looks amazing though! Great year for DC in LEGO!

  2. RE: DC CMF

Doctor Fate and Red Tornado, yes, please, and thank you! As a huge comic nerd for most of my life, there aren't many characters I don't know, obscure or not, and I'm down for most of them!

My only concern: SATURN GIRL, OR WE RIOT. I don't even CARE about the Legion, but to have two of the three founders, and not finish that particular trifecta? This is the perfect opportunity. DO IT. OR ELSE.

(disclaimer: I don't know anything particular about the CMF series other than what's leaked)

That's all a joke, isn't it? Or is the build so bad, the "no build" was ironic?

My problem is, that he already gave so many good/correct hints, that i don't know if there is some information hidden?

Ah, yes, my bad! I reread what I typed a number of times to try and ensure it couldn't be taken seriously, and then a close, personal friend immediately did exactly that! 'Twas only a joke, @x105Black!

Yes. We need a sarcasm font.

    As always, @williejm gets it.

    Sorry for any confusion, all!

  4. It's all artistic license in the rendered art, and you can see it all over the place. Feet that don't line up along the same plane; the extreme bend in one of Dorothy's arm and the extension of the other; the tilting of heads; bent knees; etc. The only plausible question is the presence of medium-sized legs. And even then, the Giraffe Guy's legs seem about the same size as the ones for President Business.

Maybe Dex-Starr. In the off chance we get a set based on Green Lanterns in the near future, I would love Atrocitus and Dex-Starr figures. As a matter of fact, we already got a look at what an Atrocitus fig would look like in that Lego Aquaman movie

I'd much rather the traditional crouched cat, painted like Dex-starr. Dex-starr is the cat.....right?

By modern literature, do you mean anything published during the twentieth century and upwards to now?

Sure, that's the beauty of the traditional Collectable Minifigure line, as it's composed of archetypes rather than specific, named characters. :classic:

Way late to the party, and not what I came here for at all, but I saw this and I had to say:  "I hit him with a rock!"

    Brilliant!

  7. The way they're releasing these, we will soon have enough parts to mix and match and make whichever version of whichever character you want. As long as they're students. Doesn't seem to much matter which film, scene, etc each fig is "from".

(I totally understand having that conversation, just pointing out the bright side.)

like i said, i didn't watch them. i'm not allowed to watch most pg-13 movies...

Prrrrrobably not something you should mention on an adult forum. Aside from punctuation, you seem fine, though. Just keep that on the DL.

Guys I finally got the last set from this year to complete the collection the Superman and krpto team up but I got it last week and now I feel bored..... I really wish LEGO or somone will drops some new dc superheroes leaks I have nothing to look forward to now well.... besides the aquam man movie and the aquaman set and the Batman summer sets but I already know I’m gonna get them

I mean...you could always read comic books. There's new stuff every week.

Agreed! I'm sure the MCU version will be fine, but Comics Mysterio is one I want badly enough I keep eyeing knock off minifigs...

The upside is I think getting an MCU fig increases the odds of us getting a comics fig. Especially if they create a custom piece for the head...

    Must...resist...hope.....

    Whatever I’ll leave

I’m trying to pitch ideas but nah y’all want the same old boring bs.... nothing new just flash Batman and Superman but whatever idc this is megablocks anyways no knew LEGO leaks aren’t even coming out anything soon so bye u

You don't have to leave, just be a bit more conscientious. We're all DC fans here. Just this year brought my favorite DC character yet: Firestorm! Sure, he's no Woozy Winks, but that's still a pretty deep cut for a brand that keeps churning out Batman. Personally, I'd love any and all DC characters, cuz that's my jam. Atrocitus? Hell yeah! Ma Hunkel? Alright! Woozy Winks? FINALLY! But repeating the same point ad infinitum does nothing but annoy your peers. We totally understand how you feel, but you have to try to understand how WE feel.

    Cheers, mate.

And for the record, my most desired GL figure would be 90's-era crab-shaped-mask Kyle Rayner. That dude is an artist, you could give him literally ANY type of construction and it would make sense, as long as it looked cool. GL corps really do just beg to be made into creator-style 3-in-1 sets.

(But I want Dr. Fate more than ANYTHING.)

Why would you say such a thing like that? Are you perhaps just teasing @JosiahJVL:shrug_confused:

He thinks I'm a LEGO designer and has now started PMing me about how much he wants Green Lantern sets. As if I couldn't tell from 99.9% of his posts. It's getting beyond tiresome and crossed the line into invasive. This is supposed to be a forum for adults and that is not adult behavior.

I guess it's up to how much you prefer the comics version to MCU styling? The current one is a great minifig, and I'm glad we got a comics styled one...

Which is why I'm conflicted about a possible MCU Mysterio. I just reeeaaaaally want a comic-based Mysterio!

Hey, I'm all for imagination, just as long as it has a clear focus. Fusing modern technology with medieval attire just seems a little too lazy to me, whereas designers could have equipped the ninjas with rides that utilized technologies more evocative of that time period. Or, visa versa, if you are going to have ninjas pilot fighter jets and cybernetic mechs, outfit them in suits both reflective of those technologies yet evocative of medieval Japanese garb.

My point was, it's all individual taste. I copied someone's sentence, but replaced "Ninjago" with "history". The original quote was "Ninjago is terrible and should have ended years ago." The writer then went on to talk about history and how interesting he found it to be. But I find history boring. I don't care about historical accuracy. It's all good, though. I was just trying to point out that hey, they're all just opinions.

The designs of characters from Infinity War DLC are EXACTLY the same as from the sets. The designs for Ant-Man, Wasp and Ghost will be exactly ones we have seen in DLC. Or maybe worse.

Or maybe better. If you're going to allow for maybes, in direct contradiction to your previous sentence, at least be fair about it. Sheesh.

It did do well, but I think that it didn't do just as well as The Lego Movie had done.

Indeed. And TLNM didn't do as well as either. It's a worrying trend. However, I do believe that TLM2 will do better than TLNM, at the very least. Chris Pratt becomes more bankable every day, it seems, and the first one was much beloved.
