MOC: I made a Drive in... come watch a movie with me

LOL IPod LOL thanks, it was on the mind for a bit now and after demolishing a building today, I had enough blue so I went at it... I hope it helps you with an idea... if any one wants detail shots just ask for what angles... PS.. while every one was watching a movie, Rapper "No money" was buying some illegals from Boss Hawg...

Ipod? LOL No sir....... Thats a Blackberry storm2...LOL I dont touch apples.... But then again, an Ipad would be thinner and probably work better. Now I have a place for my phone to watch movies and pod casts when I am bricking... woohoo! The unit has two round bricks at the base in back of the phone to prop it against the front tight... one round is connected to the door so it is not stuck in there when you open the door to retrieve it. The storm2 works great because the touch screen is more sensitive then any other MP4 device and the controls are in frame when you want to change the movie or fast forward or what have you... I know the one plate set up is cramped but I dont have that much plain plates not in use right now so it is what it is... it works great though... may get some cheep MP4 players and make them new automated street advertisement billboards... The knock off Ipods would be perfect for that and I have seen at least 10 so far that would be in the $20-30 range so it will look cool and still be crazy cheep to pull off a one of a kind layout.
  5. I think it came out ok...

High piece count + small layout = lots of small details

ouch... that hurt my feelings I would rather it be one piece then a ugly Multiple part bike Realistic? please! the old one piece bikes looked like bobbers to me and classic Harley-Davidsons and Moto Guzzis and Triumphs and oh ya BSA's for you UK guys... All of those bikes my father had in his garage and that created my love for the old style lego motorcycles... the new ones appall me greatly..... Dad used to call those bikes lego makes now J#p-Cr#p (put in # or it would be racist, one thing I am not)

that street came out killer.... I love the side walk... going to do that to my city soon.. but the $250 for 2816 gray 2x2 flats is killer for my 9 foot by 3.5-4 foot layout

well not to mention this earlier, but the new style motorcycles kind of look like mopeds to me as well.... Lego cops must be on a hard budget this year and cant get a real bike...LOL So what will happen when the high speed chase takes place, what the cops on under powered three wheelers and motorcycles will have to call in the helicopter(that's not included on the landing pad on the HQ set? WTF ) because last moped I had only could do 70mph after I modded the hell out of the engine... All of them are a joke... Look I loved the old bikes... they looked real and well sure the side cars looked fake, but in the end it was a lego style that was around for well over 2 decades and well the new bikes will surely get taken off the line up and replaced before they get 10 years old.... to call them motorcycles and not mopeds outrages me.. I ride my self and those new bikes... all of them look like something some one in a third world country would ride..

YUP... I was like WTF the first time I seen the new bikes.... Some one at lego was smoking some hard core drugs when they made that change.... Back in the 1980's Didn't they stop making 3 wheelers in real life because they were found to be reckless and unsafe and not to mention the over sized front tire if under pressurized would flip the bike into an end over end roll if the brakes were applied hard ya and the bank truck should have come with stacks of Lego money flats My next building would be a money themed house... roof, walls... and lawn... all money flats...

yes a city version would be a lot better.... like a Emporium sized cop "Station" like in Rochester NY(my home City) The past three lego cop sets have no real look to them... yes playability, but if you go out and buy one of those "Play sets like from playschool or other "some assembly required toy companies...You then give it to your child, they play with it for like 10 minutes and walk away never to play with it again.... So should playability be incorporated into a Lego city set (keep in mind it has no look to real city layout) so us as adults would help build the cop shop and let our child play with it... sure as Shite, 10 minutes later he/she is walking away or have destroyed it already.... But if it was modular, then the ability to change the floor layout or even add a floor would be a nice replay value... As for adults buying it for them selves, 5 days after I buy a booooooring set like those cop shacks, it is break down time.... Like I stated before, if and when I buy a cop box, I will be getting both 2008 and 2011 models to morph together... I need the back blocked off... wal to wall "WALLS" I require! But yes... if they can make a fire house modular, then why not a police office as well?

well hope fully the rest of the 2011 stuff is not being designed by the same person that did that new shuttle... Lego needs to remember that 25% are kids buying and 25% are adults buying for kids and the big 50% is adults buying for themselves... if they can't be clued in on this major thing then the adults will probably start buying less and Moc'ing up stuff from scratch instead of buying such a under thought kit as that new shuttle... I hate that they leave the hinges right out in the open and malty color them like so say "Woopy Look at me" For real does city sets need flaps on their wings? Really? Look at the air port theme... No flaps right? Then why lego why... if it was not for them loud color flaps the shuttle would not look AS bad
