Are you actually saying you would rather nobody got these minifigures, just because you don't want the set?

I don't expect them to do it with the SDCC exclusive figures (not the ones in the sets like Vers, the ones that are just a minifigure by themself like Insomniac Spider-Man and Sheriff Deadpool), butI I'm hoping Maria's exclusive head shows up in a regular set or polybag or something too.
They said no more regional exclusives, like the Chinese New Year sets this year. Not that they would stop things like the SDCC exclusives.

8 minutes ago, CSW652 said:So about when do they usually announce the next modular again?
Assembly Square was announced in October
Downtown Diner was announced at the very end of November
Corner Garage was announced in December
Lego are announcing as late as possible (in part to prevent the knockoffs being on sale too soon). Unless there's a leak, I wouldn't expect anything for over a month.

Now you've pointed it out, it's obvious. The belt is a big giveaway too, it has a completely different design.

I am still surprised in this day and age that people can still take a photo of an item and make it look like their camera lens is smeared with Vaseline.
I was hoping to be able to tell how the legs are made (are they double/triple moulded like Bart Simpson, or is the grey printed on), but the photo is too blurry.

I'm not sure about a full length cape, but the recent Disney CMF included soft fabric for Anna's small cape.

I'm not familiar with the Rebirth storylines. Why does Superman look so pasty?
I've never seen him look like that in any of the artwork.

Nope. Just a competition to design a vehicle GWP. No clue as to what type of vehicle would be suitable, though.

I assume we'll get a "normal" Spider-Man in that set too.
Spider-Man Noir isn't exactly known for flying a jet. I know regular old Spider-Man isn't either, but the era for Noir makes it even less sensible.

All the information is technically rumours and leaks right now. Lego has not yet officially revealed any information about this series.
There is a hashtag on instagram that deals with both Lego and leaks. If you search for it, you'll find a lot of images.

It would've been infinetely better if it only included the normal house, car and figures. The UD house and trees shouldn't have been included, they made the completed model look bad (but that's just my opinion)
For me, the mirroring was the entire point of the set.

Just now, Robert8 said:Are we sure that 89 Batman comes with the D2C?
Because it doesn't look like he fits
He does come from the D2C. We have no images of the actual set yet.
The images we have seen are from a different, limited edition set.

The Hoth set was listed in the same way, but you couldn't purchase it. You had to get it as the GWP. It's just how they've listed the value of the item.

What element of the video gave you the impression that the theme was ending?

Just now, Aegis1984 said:Spitballing ideas here... We have seen museums in Ideas, and we have seen museums get rejected. We have also seen 48x32 footprints with AS, so could a museum ala the Egyptian MOC be out of the question? That would be a way to get the dinosaur skeletons that pop up on Ideas into the theme. Alternatively, what about a video arcade with candy store or ice cream shop? Or comic book store, like the one we never got from The Simpsons. I can’t see a game store or even Lego version of Blockbuster video because the theming seems to be a few decades too early.
You're saying a video rental store is too modern, but you're OK with a video arcade? The most modern building so far is the 1950s. A video game arcade would be from the late 70s at the earliest.
A penny arcade would be much more in keeping with the sort of thing I expect from lego
Just now, paupadros said:I think it will be another unusual combo. If they’re sticking with American, I bet they’ll go for records store; nothing quite like it in the previous fourteen models and opens up oportunities for great detailing.
For me, as I bet for many, the exterior architecture is everything. Yes, if the interiors feel bad/kinda lazy (looking at you CG ), it’s definitely something I dislike, but if the model feels architecturally boring, badly coloured or (again looking at you CG ) the architecture seems infantile; lacking all the realistic but at the same time fantasy-flavoured Jamie designs, or even the DD, it’s a complete no no for me.
I could definitely see them doing a record shop of some sort. It would allow them to continue the "story" from the Diner and have the music recorded in that set being sold. However, I'd personally like them to move away from blatantly US-styled buildings.

There's one in Assembly Square

The new UCS set isn't an event exclusive, though. It could easily be from that.

Why wouldn't it have a new mould?

8 hours ago, DeCommander96 said:That's what he meant I believe
No, it's not.
I meant the Batman from the Elseworlds story In Darkest Knight, which is when Batman received Abin Sur's ring.
I don't want a zombie Batman.

If we're going to get a Lantern Batman, I'd rather see the Darkest Knight Batman, since he was a Lantern for the entire story, not just a couple of panels.

54 minutes ago, Duncan Young said:Considering the standard CMFs have been running on archtypes, I don't see the issue. Heck, the only reason I buy any of those figures is for parts for DC figbarfs.
If those series can sell, I don't see why superheroes wouldn't
The main difference is that they fit into real world positions (for the most part). People can relate to them and therefore they'd want to buy them.
I think an obscure profession is more likely to sell a minifig than an obscure DC character nobody has heard of.
I'm a DC fan, but haven't been able to keep up with the recent goings-on in the comics (if you told me we were getting a human Green Lantern, I would assume Hal Jordan, John Stewart or Guy Gardner). So far I'm not seeing characters that I absolutely must have. I'll buy the full set for the sake of completion, but I'm hoping that the majority of the wave are more mainstream than Metamorpho.
I was expecting something more along the lines of what we saw in the Harry Potter CMF series. They had the full range of main characters, supported by some side characters. So for DC I would expect the main members of the Justice League and Crime Syndicate as a bare minimum.

Just now, Digger of Bricks said:For me, such a line wouldn't be about intricate detailing as much as it's about potentially introducing new parts conductive to custom System-based mecha and "constraction" MOCs. Like BrickHeadz, I'd imagine such figures' more intricate detailing would be printed while their constructive focus is rather on their articulation.
I see what you mean. But I don't think that would be considered game changing in the way that has been implied. That would be more of a modification of the old buildable figure system, which seems like it wasn't very successful.
As much as I understand the need for FalconFan to be vague, I do wish we had more detail about what this will entail.

Why would it need to be replaced with another restaurant?
It could just retire and be replaced with a new set with a totally different theme.

It seems odd that the UCS plaque isn't actually attached to anything. It could easily have been incorporated into the minfig stand.
The model looks good, but I'm not so amazed by it that I feel the need to pick it up on release. I'll probably wait until I can see it in person to make a decision.
