  1. Regardless of what LEGO's definitions are (changing or not), I refuse to acknowledge anything but a minifigure as a minifigure. Brick-built characters are brick-built characters. Bigfigs are bigfigs. Minidolls are minidolls. And minifigures alone are minifigures. But it's all semantics really. I choose to care about the differences because it helps me to identify and tell the different types of characters apart from each other. I will continue to use the terminology that I feel fits the character best whenever I talk about it because that's what makes sense to me. But ultimately I don't really care that much. If it's a character I want, I will get it no matter what they're calling it. And I'm not going to go out of my way to correct people for saying the wrong nomenclature for the individual type of character. I may have in the past (when people were calling the Unikitty blind bags a CMF series, which it clearly is not), but I will pull back because it's relatively unimportant and pedantic.

    Doc Ock

As always, this is really cool. Interesting part usage for the belly / belt. I love that you got the tentacle arms to hold his weight. Nice work!

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part

    That Momoa Aquaman looks fantastic!
  4. Very happy to see it. I love the smile and the printing. The boots are the only problem I have with this Thanos, and the reason I didn't care for the last one. Glad I got the original comic version, as that's still the best one. Overall, just happy to have seen the leak to get an idea of what to expect from these sets.
  5. Good point. I'm hoping that the distinction is there, personally, because it will validate my point and give me good feelings.
  6. That's what I was thinking. As far as the Giraffe, I think the dual molding and artistic license (bending of limbs) creates an illusion. Besides, if anything I'd expect him to have longer legs, but that's clearly not the case. Either way, so excited for this series, and happy to have already seen these minifigures. I can now create a game plan for feeling the bags.

[MOC] "We have never been on the Earth"

Fake Earth landing! I knew it! Great idea, good humor, and nice design. Mission accomplished!

    MOC Micro Voltron

Very cool project. I'm not really a fan of micro scale, but you've done a very good job or recreating these sets in a recognizable form. I could easily tell which set each build represents. And I love the updated Voltron. Nice stuff!
  9. That's true. And 2019 is a big Pirates anniversary... Still, doubtful. The Sleeping Beauty Castle seems the most likely to me. I just expect it to be a similar set, and something as iconic a symbol as the last one, but something that won't compete too much in sales. So the Sleeping Beauty Castle, which is smaller than the Cinderella Castle, could work well and compliment the other set.
  10. That's an interesting distinction. And this goes further into that distinction. Complete New could be all parts in the box, including extras or sprued or bagged parts. Alternates could include unsprued or unbagged versions of sprued or bagged parts, but complete sets (all of the feathers, or all of the coins, even if they aren't used in the build). Complete could be all parts listed in the inventory. This can deal with Complete New vs Complete minus extras. Complete Used could be all parts required for the complete build. Alternates could include the sprued or bagged parts that could be separated into the parts required for the build. This isn't the perfect breakdown, I'm sure. But again, there are ways to satisfy both groups. I think they should look into some alternatives. But it's probably more work than it's worth, and easier to change to a new paradigm and allow people to adjust over time.
  11. I still wouldn't call Unikitty a minifigure, despite her inclusion in the CMF series for The Lego Movie 2. Ultimately, a matter of opinion.
  12. Happy to see the 4 main characters here! It will be great for those that already have the other Wizard of Oz figures. Also, just great figures all around! Yeah, Unikitty is kind of a let down as I was expecting all of them to be minifigures. Should be easy enough to feel and set aside, though. Glad the minidolls aren't included, mostly for the same reason, although you have a point that they'd maybe fit in more here. I'm assuming these ones were planned for that series, but it got a little heavy and they held them off for the movie. I love that hair piece! I'm definitely going to have to get one. I was thinking something similar. The blue haired version could be Lucy before she became Wildstyle. And maybe remembering her girly past is part of the plot. I don't know, I think I could find a use for the Cowardly Lion and Scarecrow in my Castle builds. I could also see using the Swamp Monster guy, some Apocalypseburg parts, and Rex's hat and dinosaur. I'd even use the Tin Man as a suit of armor, and he has a nice axe. While there aren't any minifigures that are specifically for historical or Castle fans, there are plenty of parts that could be useful.

    Chinese New Year’s sets -2019

It's fantastic. All 3 of the sets are. Even the BrickHeadz is cool. I still want the Dragon Dance the most.
  14. It will definitely be interesting to see how this all goes down.
  15. This is a great build, very clever. I love the idea, and the execution is very realistic. The photography makes it look like a real menu item at a diner. Now I'm hungry. Great work!
  16. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I'm not sure of the impact long-term, but there will certainly be a transitional period where this causes issues. I understand the need for all parts boxed in a set to be included to consider the set complete, but I feel that BrickLink should include a listing of all parts used in the model as well. Perhaps it could be a new level of completeness. Complete is all boxed parts. Incomplete is obviously missing pieces. But Model Complete or Fully Buildable (or some other such name) would be if all of the parts to complete the build are included. My opinion, anyways.
  17. I love the scale model Christmas Tree, the scale model gift box, and the scale model pig inside.
  18. I would absolutely love the Sleeping Beauty Castle. I hope they release one.
  19. Some of the minifigure parts in the D2C set could actually be quite useful for Castle builds.
  20. I suppose it could be the Disneyland Sleeping Beauty Castle.
  21. I love the name of the set: Emmet's Piece Offering.

What was the last movie you watched?

I recently watched some Marvel Netflix animated movies. I watched Planet Hulk, which was fantastic. I also watched Dr. Strange, but I didn't like it as much as Planet Hulk. Both overall good movies, though.
