I know what you mean. But the small "fix" to place the out of place plates correct will do wonders I imagine.
Good review, great set! Also looking out for the combination with the haunted house.
House reminds me of the wooden houses in the Swedish city of Hjo.

Hey,
A question to others who own the 9450 set with the four headed dragon.
My kids have this set, build it when they got it. Never took it apart or anything but now I noticed that the lower half of two dragon heads start falling off. It are the two heads without the ball-shooter.
The lower parts of those heads are very loose and thus easily fall down the technic rod. A small swoosh is enough.
Anybody else has this issue? I know workarounds but it isn't... cool. As all other dragon heads are still fine, also on other models (ice, fire, earth, lightning, gold).

Nice and well done.
One thing is missing though.
A blue baseplate.

Btw have you noticed this vid ?
Thanks for the video.
The trailers shows upcoming Lego sets and things we might wish as a set. Bus for example.
So talking about the trailer is good from that point of view.

Just saw the second trailer and while it gave away the best joke it did trigger anticipation unlike the first trailer. Chan has a bad voice for Wu though. That lego school bus will become a favourite thing on wishlists I assume.

I like one thread with all about Ninjago more then different topics to follow. :)

Set your google photo map to share link view for all.
-
Yes. But make sure the pictures are in a map that is set to sharing (anyone with link can view).

Opening weekend box office numbers vs LEGO Batman's haul will tell all.
Netflix has a different availability around the globe. In the Netherlands only the prelude with the skeletons and season 1 with the snakes is available on Netflix.
I do not expect big boxoffice numbers for Ninjago. Batman had Batman and the Lego movie was so generic in title it had broad appeal.
Really good reviews might help ofcourse.

I think you are trying to link from google photos. You need to place them in a directory within google photos that is free to view for everyone. You need to go to the sharing details and allow that others can view that map.

Did this based on your guidelines. Needed to tweak since I missed a bunch of bricks you used. Still satifiied with the wings. Getting the rubber band inside was tricky to the max but it works out so much better.
Thanks Flandy!

Thanks for the good review. So the old samurai X mech is a better build then this one it seems.
Garmadon looks cool though. With 80/100 you seem really generous. Only from text you've wrote I would not rate it higher than 60/100.

My opinion is unchanged, what a fantastic looking set, my only gripe is that the tail seems to be too floppy but it looks amazing overall, can't wait to pick one up.
That tail mechanism is exactly the same as the one from the Earth Dragon (back in the days when Ninjago was still new, lol). The whole dragon seems based upon the Earth Dragon templete. Which is a good thing.

No offense and I know a lot of people like this but YouTube reviews make me nervous, itchy and aggressive towards the hands in those videos.
Lol

What happened?
A few days ago I checked in and this thread was at 87 pages. Now at 102...
lol
Who's gonna sell a kidney?
-
No way. These movie ones are silly to the max. Only Lord Garmadon looks cool.

Then this illusion failed.

It's also applied incorrectly, so yes, it does look crappy.
If it's a skirt call it a skirt.
If that is supposed to be a kimono Lego failed. ;)
-
That's a skirt on Wu. A kimono would be different... it looks really... Crappy.
But Garmadon looks cool! Finally a good figure in the movie line.

Oh my....
---worst Ninja designs since Ninjago started
The faces are daft to the max.
The new two part hood looks awkward.
-
The facial drawings of the Ninja's look really really drab. Disappointing to the max.
-
Lots and lots of minifigs in these sets. Makes something like city chase worthwhile.
The fact the dragon is Mech is the first let down, the actual Lego version compared to the movie one is a triple let down. :(
The Bounty seriously needs one dragon head on the prow. Mod time on a 170 set. :)
-
I've seen a picture of the Bounty and, yes, it has a lower deck.
And yes it is big, and yes it does not look really cool.
It looks sluggish compared to the previous ones.

Some nitpicking: kids are not allowed to stand on the animals. They must sit down at all times...
